  1. No worries Beaker. That's a weird box right there Roiegat, can you retrace your steps and start from the beginning file that you changed something in to see what could be causing it. And you're right, I can't find the cockpit script files for the SU-25T either. Even in the ED testing version I can find all but the SU-25T. I guess it's encoded inside a dll somewhere and not in general script files.
  2. Check in the following folders: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\A-10C\Cockpit\HUD\device C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\A-10C\Cockpit\HUD\Indicator I didn't have to change that parameter to False, what kind of box are you getting? I've attached a basic HUD grid with indication lines. Stick that in you mods folder/Textures/Avionics And edit indication_page.lua local GRID_ = MakeMaterial("HUD_grid.tga",BASE_COLOR2) -- image of the fixed background (HUD Net) HUD_grid.zip
  3. Wow, that's a lot of pressure hehe
  4. I'm not a witch!! She turned me into a newt! Well i got better... haha, awesome movie
  5. From a developer point of view, we would want nothing less than high fidelity and it is in the back of the mind in everyone on the team. Let's take a trip back to FC/FC2 days and when teams or people built mods. They were successful because of two things - they took it to the limit of what FC2 could allow them to do, and they were free. Jump forward to DCS Add-on's and this/next year. People are paying for the modules, therefore you are running a business selling them. The success of the modules depeneds very much on the marketing of those modules. If you build a bad one, the community will simply shout bad things about it, thereby reducing sales. Of course there are always new people that will buy it because they don't go on forums or get to see the community reaction, but you won't have many sales. If you make an awesome module, the word-of-mouth marketing alone is priceless. Magazine articles will be written giving more publicity about the module, etc etc. And more sales will be made. So, from our (VEAO) point of view, we of course want the latter. That being a high fidelity aircraft taking DCS to the edge of what it can do and giving, you, the community not just what it wants, but what it deserves. The more sales we make, the more aircraft we can produce in a quicker time becuase people are getting paid for the work they are developing. Like many discussions before, the products need to be clearly marked to what fidelity level they are, FC3 or DCS. And again as ED have said before, you will clearly know if an aircraft is an ED produced one or a 3rd party dev one. So just hold on with the pitchforks and the "Burn the witch" chants as you tie us to the stake's ;) Chris
  6. A Harrier just isn't a Harrier if it can't ;)
  7. Very nice looking pit there guys. Mapping to HOTAS for the nozzles via the Incr/Decr slider, it was made for it. I can't wait for VTOL takeoff's in this.
  8. I only managed to get a few shots as was a busy weekend. Our set-up with an amazing backdrop Javelin giving some lessons on how to fly the P-51 Observing and queueing crowd Yo-Yo (ED) showing us how it's done. The master himself, Nick Grey (TFC) Nick's son, Scott Vad Crow from the Virtual Red Arrows New loading screen PC Pilot article and DVD box cover
  9. It was a great weekend and many thanks to those that came into the hanger to say hi. Kato was there, how did I miss meeting him?? I'm sorry to say that those who only attended on Saturday didn't get to see the sneak peak air battle on Sunday morning. Once again many thanks to Nick and Jim for being absolutely gracious hosts and to watch Nick Grey flying DCS P-51 to such precision was an amazing honour. I'm just downloading the pics and videos I had time to take and will ulpload soon. Thanks to all, Chris.
  10. The way I understand it currently, the server would have to have the modules loaded to be able to select them from the available planes list. If a mission designer wanted plane A and plane B in their mission, they would need both modules installed to be able to include them in the mission. So let's say he wanted Typhoon versus Raptor, he would need both modules installed to create the mission and both modules need to be installed on the server and client machines. In tests I've run, if one module is not on the server, it will not load that plane in the mission, even if it's in the ME mission file. You will see no plane in the sim to fly as the sim thinks it does not exist. You also do not see it in the ME, or any waypoints, triggers etc. So, mission builders will need to think carefully about what servers their missions will be running on and what modules are installed on that server. I haven't tested replay of tracks but I would guess the plane doesn't show but any missiles/bombs in World would show. But then they may not as the weapons are defined in the add-on. Something I'll test as some point. Hope that muddy's the water a bit more </sarcasm>
  11. In the mission editor, it puts the name we, as developers, define within the Add-On. As an example in my ME I select Hawk from the drop down list of aircraft which loads all available weapons, skins and countermeasures as defined in the add-on. If developer A calls his plane "Jetty" and developer B calls his plane "Jetty" also, you will see two "Jetty"s in the drop down list.
  12. Awesome Joe and Tango, look forward to meeting you. Sobek, I hear you. My Msc took 5 years of my life :(
  13. Ah that's a shame Sobek, next year then :)
  14. The add-on teams are in discussion with ED on this already but can't reveal details yet. Cheers, Chris.
  15. I still want that Virtual Horsemen demo Rock ;)
  16. Will be great to see you again Yo-Yo I'll have my laptop too but having issues on it at the moment.
  17. One rig Yo-Yo and I'll bring my big bass speakers ;)
  18. Sign them at the door ;) Hahaha
  19. Bored this weekend and in the UK and want something to do? Then come to Flying Legends at Duxford this Saturday and Sunday and come and fly DCS P-51D Mustang in TFC's hangar 2 in the morning and then watch the real things in the afternoon. You may even see a couple of sneak peaks ;) Look forward to seeing you there, Chris.
  20. No reason why you couldn't do a UFO, 747 or anything you want that fly's for that matter, even the first Wright Brothers airplane. Hmm would we need an AFM for that. Now the UFO AFM would be one hell of a challenge!! Submarines, well technically I guess you could do it in DCS and getting sonar to work would be interesting.
  21. Ice, the ED beta testers team cannot see the development forums, they are for 3rd party devs all to ourselves mwuhahaha That's not to say that we may share things with them to get opinions views and testing when the time comes seeing as they have been vetted by TFC/ED. I am also an ED beta tester and that position is for testing TFC/ED products, DCS World, A-10, BS2, P-51, Combined Arms, DCS:F/A oops I said too much already ;) I'm kidding on the F/A bit in case it goes viral..sigh In terms of dual control, the dev teams are working with ED on possible solutions. As many hv said the sim wasn't set up for it.
  22. Hahaha LMFAO You can even play it on your iPhone ;)
  23. Thanks for clearing that up Wags
