  1. Re-selected FMU-152 (I think) and now the bombs work. Also unlike before they were all showing their laser codes on the Store page from the start, rather than XXXX like they were yesterday.
  2. So my loadout has FMU-139 fuzes. 4s arm delay, 0s function delay.
  3. I just picked one of my saved loadouts that includes GBU-12s. I'll fire it up and have a look - maybe they had no fuses at all.....
  4. Hey all! Tried to bomb some range targets last night in the Hornet - it's been a while - and despite choosing INST from the EFUZE menu (like I have always done in the past) the bombs just bounced off the target on impact rather than exploding. This was a hot-start aircraft. Is there some other step I'm missing now? Maybe something to do with the new fuzing implementation?
  5. First video from Wags is up!
  6. You know the devs of the CH-47 are ED themselves right? You should probably just calm down a little
  7. I would have thought releasing it, and it being good, would drive more sales. Not delaying. Maybe it's simply not as ready as they thought/hoped......
  8. "Dear All, due to a number of unresolved issues we have decided to delay the release of the DCS: CH-47F. We will keep you informed on a timely basis and look forward to bringing you this iconic aircraft very soon. With this delay we will also be able to bring you a series of instructional videos. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay. Thank you for your understanding." though at least we'll get some vids now
  9. I'm hoping that this will mean I need to use the F-10 map a lot less: Coming out in a couple of days apparently
  10. The site makes my eyes bleed but there's some very interesting info. Some good PDFs here https://www.chinook-helicopter.com/Publications/Publications.html
  11. We're literally just guessing though. If it's light on features, then what's there might be relatively bug free....
  12. Never really thought that they might have factored that in
  13. Well sure but for Apache there was take off, in-flight, navigation, landing videos etc. Basic stuff that the Chinook could get videos for.
  14. The Apache released into EA March 22 (I think) and Wags had done a whole load of vids before then on a bunch of systems. It is a shame that it's not happening this time round.
  15. Ahhhh I see. Before I figured it out I also tried opening the pilot door but that didn't work either.
  16. Ahhh I think I figured it out.... You have to talk to ground crew on Intercom, but you can't just press the 1st stage radio button (which says intercom). You also have to put the ICS/Radio switch up to ICS. Seems pretty odd that there's 2 radio buttons on the cyclic, and also a switch that has to be in the right position on the panel? Might as well just have 1 button on the cyclic?
  17. Up to now I've been flying on the Hind on a private server with Easy Comms on. Have had no issues rearming etc. Just tried a public server and I assume Easy Comms was off, as I couldn't rearm. According to the briefing, the FARP I was at was on 127.5Mhz AM, and that should have been channel 0 on the 863 radio. So I bind that Radio key, make sure it's channel 0, but still can't rearm. Maybe the mission creator has changed the default channel 0 on the Hind I think, so I go try it on a private test mission, and same thing. Where I used to be able to rearm there, with easy comms off I can't. Is there some magic method to talk to FARPs in the Hind? I feel like I'm missing something obvious.
  18. It's now mentioned in the FAQ too
  19. One thing I'm interested in is whether whatever new logistics features arrive with the CH-47F play nicely with logistics in existing missions. I'm really looking forward to flying supplies about but is it going to just work with Pretense or other missions running CTLD (once you add the Chinook into the mission)? Or are we going to get some incompatibility as underlying DCS logistics is changing and we're going to need to wait for community scripts to catch up?
  20. Something that helps me are kneeboards I made myself a diagram of my HOTAS in Google Docs and for each module I put on the diagram what each button does. I save this into the kneeboard for the module and I can then view this when flying a module I haven't been in for a while to refresh. Many modules have nice kneeboards others have made with checklists for using the sensors and weapons that you can refer to during flight.
  21. I hope there will be a few videos - I'm keen to pre-order but want to get a feel for the module first.
  22. Not sure where's best to give feedback on the new launcher, but can I please ask that we have the option to rename the Custom 1/2/3 presets? After I while I forget what I've saved to which
  23. I'd have to change motherboard and ram to switch architecture though. I've found at set of settings that keeps me at 72FPS+ with MSAA 2x. I'm having to compromise on visibility (set to High) and some other things, but it's ok.
  24. i tend to judge things in terms of £/hr. If I end up flying the KW for more than 55hrs I'll have paid less than £1/hr of fun. Pretty good value (to me at least). I've probably put in 10-15 hrs already....
