  1. Hey. Not sure if this is the best place to ask this... My understanding of custom liveries was that all clients on a server needed to have downloaded them to be able to see them. But last night one of our pilots start changing his F-4 livery to ones he had downloaded, and the rest of us could see them as he cycled through them. Has something changed in this area?

  4. Fixed: Petrovich AI does not see the targets when fog is in Auto mod. I guess they added that into the notes later.....
  5. Worth trying Virtual Desktop instead? I've found it super-stable since swapping to it a few months back.....
  6. Awesome thanks! I think my issue was that the mission editor doesn't seem to import the script into the .miz file automatically. I had to unzip, copy the file in there, and zip it back up again.

  10. which quest are you on? I don't think the current dot is too big - I was struggling to see the dot for an M-2000C at what felt like way closer range than 27nm last night. I need to do some more imperical testing though - this was when dogfighting. I'm on a Q3 at 1.1 res. If you're on something with fewer and bigger pixels you're going to think the dot is too big, but making it smaller (and therefore correct for you) would make it too small for me (or someone else). Ahhh the joys of differing hardware
  11. Quest 3 here and things are way better. Back to being quite a challenge to spot bogeys again. No idea if it's 'realistic' as I'm not a fighter pilot in real life, but it's definitely an improvement.

  13. The patch yesterday was literally only a campaign patch - it was titled/headed as such in the notes. So wasn't aimed at fixing anything other than campaign bugs.....
  14. The problem is It's about trying to make an aircraft visible to all players at distance X regardless of the resolution they're playing in. No dots, and the person with not enough resolution to show the aircraft at distance X would see nothing, and is at a disadvantage. With dots, the person with not enough resolution gets an artificially large visible target and gets an advantage. For SP, fine have a toggle and do what you want, but for MP any toggle swaps the advantage. Until everyone has screens/headsets with human eye levels of resolution, so there's enough pixels to render something realistic at all distances, I'm not sure what the best solution is?
  15. I haven't had any issues with the F-10 map at all for a while now. No crashes, no crazy stuttering after leaving it.
  16. I also installed a mod to remove the VR hangar on the main menu. That seemed to help as well as that hangar scene apparently remains in memory while playing.
  17. I dropped my textures to medium a few weeks back (as it helped with the Chinook) and honestly in my Quest 3 I can't actually tell the difference anyway.

  21. I didn't wonder why was the patch released. I wondered why was the change (to spotting dots) was released. Of course maybe they're tightly coupled, in which case I agree that more performance is definitely a good thing!
  22. I think the weird part is why the change was released at all. It's just broken in VR, so why release it? Why not just hold it back until they figured it out.
  23. Are you using either openxrt toolkit or DCS to limit the frames to the Hz of your headset? I was (thinking it would help) and as soon as I stopped doing that my stuttering went away.
  24. Hmm so maybe I should use it - don't need to waste resources doing MSAA on the less detailed area in quad views
  25. Hey. What does the VR MSAA mask actually do if you don't mind me asking? I'm using mbucchia quad views to create a blurry low-res border, so would I gain anything from VR MSAA Mask?
