  3. I've got the canopy reflections on 0 and still get way too much reflection on the visor in VR. Is there another reflections option somewhere?

  5. Had the same issue - and yes I was on 4YA. Tried the instant action cold start mission and it worked fine...
  6. Weirdly it's not working for me. I've got the folder with that name and a couple of jpgs in it, but they don't show. OpenKneeboard is showing the files, so feels like it should be working, but the inbuilt kneeboard isn't.

  9. Ahh didn't know there was a signature option thanks. But then if people have to turn it on then not everyone's going to see it..... Just spent another 2 hours in the Fulcrum in VR (Q3 with VD) and honestly I'm not noticing anything weird Maybe a Varjo Aero thing?
  10. Not trying to derail but I can't see a signature so I assume NineLine can't either? I'm flying in VR and I've don't remember noticing an issue with the default position. Will pay more attention later but I think it would have felt weird from the start if it was off.

  12. I was still getting some flickering from them in VR last night? They can be quite distracting when the sunlight hits them. Not sure if that's the same as the Beta issue though.
  13. You can, but then it's hard to know of you've turned it on or not. Would be better if they removed the monocle from the left eye image or something for VR (I made a separate post in the Bugs/Problems forum for it).
  14. Not entirely sure if this is just me... In VR if I just look through my left eye I can just about see the HMS monocle on the far right of my FOV. So with both eyes open I get the main monocle (right eye) and then the secondary extra monocle over on the far right. It feels a bit odd. Maybe that's 'correct' but in RL your brain would kinda cancel it out, but in the sim it's just there and I can't unsee it. Changing the special option to only render right eye only seems to affect the reticle, not the monocle.
  15. Hmm do the servers tend to have both the FF and FC3 versions of the F-5 available as an example? I thought it tended to be only the FF one (but now I'm doubting myself )

  18. I hadn't thought of doing actual FPS drops etc. turning DCS into ARMA3. Would be very cool. Can't see it coming though
  19. Interesting that module developers have to create this stuff themselves. I guess I thought that ED provided some sort of dev kit for official modules that contained building blocks like this.
  20. Likewise happened to me last night. Dropping a GBU-12 from the starboard front CFT station in level flight in the external view (viewing from port). Heard a clunk and the jet shook from side to side. By the time I landed the engine on that side of the jet was dead.

  22. Ordered the Herc last night. If I fly in MP, and I want my buddy simply to be loadmaster (or simply ride on the ramp at the back) they're going to have to buy the module right, like other multicrew modules in DCS? i.e. there's no way for some module slots to be 'free'. I'm kinda wishing it was a bit like Star Citizen, in the sense that someone owns the aircraft but guests can fly onboard, but I'm assume it's a DCS limitation that can't be got round
  23. Someone further up said the IRST range would be ~10km. I'm sure I've used the IRST in the FC3 version way further out than that? Personally I'd always fly a FF version if there's one available. I've just got mates who don't see the increased complexity (and paying again for a jet they can already fly) as necessarily a good thing
  24. If the FC3 version is overperforming in terms of sensors (and other things), are they going to nerf it to bring it into line? I've got one mate who loves to fly Red but he's like 'why would I bother getting the FF version when I've got the FC3 version' and if the FC3 version performs 'better' he's even less likely to swap..... I guess we might see server admins removing the FC3 version of course
