Have you tried reassigning the controls in game? The next thing to try would be renaming your dcs folder in your saved games, then dcs will rebuild the folder on next start and you can try again to reassign axis in game.

I am reminded of an exercise I once did in a northern Queensland training area. I had been a naughty boy so was tasked with filling in the shit pit with another unfortunate private. As we were shovelling we both instinctively duck down and I swear we had time to look at each other like what the f was that then, boom and I looked up through the trees and saw the tailpipes of an F-111 receding into the distance at extreme low level. It really bought home to me that if you are on the receiving end of a low level airstrike you would be hit before you even knew what was happening.

I just had a look on android with Google cardboard and the 3d works great. It is a little disconcerting not have any control over the camera and when I move my head around it's a bit weird the view doesn't change, but well worth a look. Also your commentary is too soft in the aircraft external views.

I wondered the same thing and it was explained to me as they will be added to the asset pack free of charge. They will be AI only, but I am sure you knew that already.

Along with the other great suggestions, I would like to see the clouds block AI vision as well.

Was I dreaming? I thought I read one of the devs saying that if you set the date for modern day there would be some changes to make it more suitable for modern day scenarios. Maybe it was just a dream....

Could it be something to do with the cold weather simulation? If you are on the ground with canopy open in cold weather you get an effect. Maybe with no engine the environmental controls can't give heat and you get cold. Without knowing exactly what effect the OP was experiencing it's just a guess.

How about making the AI bombers CA style, so we could take over the gunner positions and scare off attacking fighters.

Ok, got that, but will the extra units be only added to the paid for asset pack or be free additions to base DCS? I guess I am just confused by the use of the word free in the statement: "The DCS: World War II Assets Pack will continue to grow with DCS: Combined Arms compatibility and free asset additions." when talking about a paid for dlc.

I am not quite sure what we are getting in the asset pack, there are the announced units in the newsletter and then the "free asset additions". Does that mean they will continue building more WWII units and those units will be added to the WWII asset pack free, or that they will build more WWII units that will be free assets to DCS world.

I finished it in about 6 days, couldn't put it down and loved every bit. Now the housework has backed up a bit and the dog hair is collecting in drifts.....
