I'm not sure that it matters if it's called beta or not, it's great fun to learn and fly.

I also have this, it has been there for the last few versions of DCS but seems more noticeable in 1.5, but that might just be because I am looking harder for problems.

You could try to open mission in editor and save it again, it will often helps with missions made in old version being played in new version.

Yes i noticed this as well, had to change to start time about 40mins later to start mission at dawn. Also had to reverse wind direction on old missions to use the same runways.

I'm interested in a VKB joystick too, does anyone know of an Australian or Pacific distributor? The postage from EU seems excessive.

My experience has been it's a bit of both. With the rig in my signature I was getting 30-40 at a busy airfield(the slowest point for me), much smoother than 1.2, but some noticeable stutter when panning around. Settings mostly high but with lens and dof off and aa low. I have now upgraded to a 6600k and 16gb ram and no matter what I do (except dof) I can't get it to dip below 60fps (vsync locked) and it is smoother than any flight simulator I have ever played (and I have been playing for over 20 years). It was working great with the old rig and I didn't really need to upgrade, but I am glad I did, because of the smooth feeling of no fps changes. The other thing to think about is your brain gets used to what you have and smooths over many of the problems.. So if you have the money go for a big rig, but it's not essential and with 1.5 even old CPUs are getting great results.

I use self locking casters that lock when weight is put on them, ie sitting down. they roll freely when I stand and move the chair around. Don't know where to buy or how much as I swapped them out from a work chair.

I have replaced some of the casters on my sim chair with self locking ones, they roll freely with no weight on chair but lock when I sit down. Works great on tile floor.

I think the Iranians and Iraqis may beg to differ.

I would love it if the deactivations could be done via a check box in module manager, when you have all the modules it's getting a pain to manually deactivate. This will only get worse as more and more modules are released.

I also guess it will be the NH-90 project that was dropped by veao. I vaguely recall the mystery fx guys saying they wanted to continue the project after veao pulled out.

I have the same motherboard. Have tried 3 different brands of DDR3 in it and all have worked for the most part. I do get some very rare unexplained blue screens that started around the time I started overclocking, but I am pretty happy with the performance considering the CPU/MOBO age.

So don't turn on your radars just yet.;)

Download speeds have been great for the last couple of years for me Used to be 30-50kb/s and now 800-900kb/s, which is the same as I get from steam.

ED keys are not usable on Steam, but steam keys are usable in ED version.

Seems like it's more work not upgrading to 10 than just letting it do it. Has anyone upgraded their CPU and motherboard with a win 10 install? What is the process to reactivate?
