  1. That's one shiny, pretty texture.
  2. Thank you for the update, Juan. Internal team issues are always a pain and resolving them's never easy. Hoping to hear happier news from the team soon.
  3. Technically, even getting a CPU like that working right isn't resource-intensive. A 300 MHz Pentium could emulate an entire Commodore 64 with its 1 MHz MOS 6510 and the video, sound, PLAs, CIAs and everything else. Even if they go down that route it would be a drop in the ocean. :D
  4. Thanks for the write-up, Azrayen, explains really well what's in the package.
  5. I... actually have no idea, but you're absolutely right, they wouldn't have scanlines, they'd have other artifacts related to the refresh rate and flickering.
  6. Most excellent news. I'll take the cockpit over the new model. That said, I wonder if we'll get the new F-5E model because it'd been used in screenshots.
  7. Doesn't that only apply to, um... parachute retarded bombs?
  8. Well, I tried the A-7E with a clean profile and man can that thing turn and fly. :D And I have to admit the cockpit is the perfect match for the purpose. There is one thing that bothers me a bit - the F-8 Crusader (which is basically the airframe the A-7 is built on) was the model with the afterburner, but the A-7 doesn't have one. Right now the mod feels a bit overpowered exactly because of the afterburner and the insane acceleration. Any way to shut it off permanently, short of changing the throttle curve so it doesn't go past 100% RPM?
  9. Can't wait to see JESTER perform a Picard double facepalm. :megalol:
  10. Hello, everyone, I will post my uploaded Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X profiles here. A few months back I got the HOTAS and really like the way it's build and the way it's mappable, especially at that price range. I came about building this profile because of a friend I managed to hook onto DCS who got the same HOTAS two weeks ago. I have tried to keep everything as neatly and logically organized as possible. While none of these HOTAS profiles will be true to the jet (mainly because many of them do not have a HOTAS to begin with), I still tried to keep true to the original functions per jet. For users who have TrackIR, feel free to remap the HAT to something other than view up/down/left/right or bump the trim functions (one modifier + HAT) to the unmodified mode. 11. Carrier ops included? Sign me up!
  12. As far as I know, it is. Dolphin did all the audio recording himself, and two months ago I had the luck of having a three-ship formation of Fishbeds fly over my head several times over practicing for a military parade - I'd say the sound is dead-on as it is.
  13. So many updates, so much good stuff coming our way. :D
  14. Xeno, would you be willing to make it into a JGSME pack and upload it someplace?
  15. The control knob on the right is the HUD mode selector with the following settings: φ - ФИ0 (phi-0) boresight mode (keyboard 6) навиг - навигационный (navigational) flight mode, sub-modes are probably controlled from the flight director/navpoint panel ОЛС - оптическая локационная станция - BVR EOS mode (keyboard 2 + O) РЛС - радиолокационная станция - BVR radar mode (keyboard 2 + I) The following three are marked as БЛИЖН. БОЙ for close combat modes. верт - вертикальний - vertical scan mode (keyboard 3) опт - оптический - optical (bore) mode with slewable zone (keyboard 4) шлем - Щел-3УМ шлем - helmet mode (keyboard 5) Considering there's a sliding switch on the stick that changes between ДВБ (long-range) and БВБ (short-range) modes I have no idea how the switch and the panel interact. Also, for the fuel tank position, the striped area underneath Tank 2 might be the cache tank, as it's marked as расходный насос - same as a switch in the МиГ-21бис cockpit controlling the caching tank pump.
  16. We need to go Archer on this.
  17. 1. In which version would you be interested ? B. Mirage F1E 2. Would you be interested to have later on an update the two-seat version, the Mirage F1B? B. No 3.- In which language would you like to have labeled the cockpit? B. French 4. Would you be interested in the Mirage F1M as a independent product in the future? A. Yes
  18. So, according to the latest stream, the new 6DOF cockpit is complete. Finally, the signal lights will be in Russian instead of English. I wonder if it'll be complete just in time for DCS 1.5 and EDGE.
  19. Known issue that saddens me as well. Since the MiG-29 series is going to get a makeover (AFM - advanced flight model, completely 3D cockpit), as listed out in the (un)official project plan for DCS World, I hope this will include a revamp of the textures as well and the return of the Russian Lamps.
  20. As far as I recall from Cobra's earlier posts, the flood lights are limited by the engine - so DCS 1.5 (the revision with EDGE) should give us the lights.
  21. Hit me up if you need a bassist.
  22. It would be cheaper to commission a new track that just screamed late 80s. Something like the first track of this album.
  23. Well, someone already went and made the MiG-21 Imperial cockpit - shame nobody is doing that in the other direction for all the Imperial jets.
