  1. And how much tailwind are we talking here? I think I set it to about 5 knots and I was able to liftoff with about 2,000 feet left in F-14. I wasn’t even loaded with lots of AG munitions. Just sparrows and winders. Anyways, the one direction ops make sense, but the problem is we can’t request a change to ATC when needed. Which I’m sure like you said can accommodate when needed IRL.   2. I don’t see anything mentioning WOW connectivity with fuel dump switch. It does mention if -fuel reaches bingo level or -tanks 1 and 4 are empty or -either engine feed tank drops below FUEL LO level or - switch is flipped to off will cause the dumping system to stop.   5. I agree with all the comments above. Sounds like you may have a HOTAS/Joystick setting problem. Check that out and try again. Also, this sim is pretty realistic in controllability and design. Pulling anything above 15 is bad news and most of the time hinders ones efforts for a kill. Try doing pure pursuit instead of leading. Fly to stay behind the enemy instead of cutting ahead.   7. PSTT mode does best for cranking. That or using PAL. PDSTT is prone to losing lock when you lose closure rates. So if you crank, or enemy cranks, lock will be lost. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

  9. Not for me. Nothing but disappointment most of the time. They are great for buildings or large structures really quick in and out. I don’t really use the retarded bombs that much just because I’ve read some inconsistencies on the releasing calculation. Maybe I’ll start playing around with them again.   10. The safest, meaning keeping out of enemy fire would be GBUs or JSOWs or Mavericks. However, if it’s deemed no MANPADs or shoulder mounted SAMs present, CBU-99s or Rockeyes are pretty good. They take a bit of skill to properly deploy or you’ll waste your time. Dumb bombs like mk-82s are not recommended because they are the most difficult to hit such a small area.   12. Weird takeoff I just tried twice to recreate this. No success. Both times was at same airport. I remember just before it did the weird rolling left and forward on runway, the nose was bouncing pretty well to simulate uneven surface during takeoff roll. I didn’t pull back until after the bouncing started. Maybe there is a problem with that? I don’t know. If the tires didn’t separate or blow out, then it’s got to be an anomaly with surfaces. It’s not weather related. Winds are calm. High pressure. Temps around 30. When I landed and slid to a stop all tires were present and no damage but the wheels for mains were not on ground.   14. Hey guys, I think I discovered something unintentionally today. I loaded up a Tomcat with 8 rockeyes, 2 winders, and 2 bags. Started from ramp at Tonopha? in Nevada. Started up correctly, taxied to runway, only used maneuver flaps and rolled down the runway. I started pulling up at 150kts then the jet rolled forward and left. So I pulled hard to get the jet off because I knew something happened. I left the gear down because I thought maybe I blew a tire. Checked for damage by F2 view. Not a scratch, tires still present and in one piece. So I continue mission. Drop my bombs and RTB. When I touch down, the jet slides all over the place and the main wheels look sunk in to the ground. After my Tokyo Drift finished, I shrugged and said “Early Access”. Does this mean certain animations for damage are not complete? Like tire separation? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  19. This is known to IronMike, but for the sake of others I will post. I’ve been able to reproduce this several times. It happens when playing as pilot only and commanding Jester to STT a bandit. When commanded to switch to PSTT, it only occurs half the time. He will acknowledge your request, but he will sometimes not actually switch to PSTT. Only way to confirm the switch has happened or not is by going to RIO position and looking at the selection or opening Jester menu to see if it still says “Switch PSTT” or “Switch PDSTT”. Most of the time Jester will switch it the first time in mission. After that it seems random or something causes him to not comply with the order, even though he acknowledged.   21. I love this jet. So much fun, even with just Sparrows and Winders. Tacview file. Note: I used the Pincer left command against the 23s. I really like this tactic because when they fire at either one of us, the missiles almost immediately get trashed. Only thing i regret is wasting that one Fox 1.   23. Sparrow deployment Right on Mike. The times I’ve asked Jester to switch to PSTT and he doesn’t, I’ve had to go back to RIO switch it myself, then jump back. After I do that, then it shows in the Jester menu it has switched to PSTT. For some reason, after the first time you STT a target and lost lock on, then re-acquire, Jester doesn’t switch to PSTT as commanded. The times this happens within 10nm, I do what you suggested. I use PAL. Too much going on to be looking at a Jester menu. On another note, I have started carrying Sparrows, and they do work wonderful, thanks to your expert advice. I see why they are a great tool to use in combat. Perfect for disposing a bandit moving in on a wingman. PS, would you like me to start a big post for PSTT? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
