  1. So the last part The only person that can use the MTADS as a sight to aim weapons is the front seater, the back seater can obviously observe what the front seater is doing by pulling the video up on the MPD, but he can't control it. It also doesn't go into the back seats HMD in this condition.
  2. There’s nothing wrong with that, just the question was what the units would be in, and you have the option to use nm and km for distance along routes and etc. how you use that info in the cockpit is situation dependent.
  3. @AlphaOneSix was accurate with his statement with imperial and metric.
  4. I actually just sat in on crew coordination brief about this specific incident. I can't go into details about it unfortunately. Crazy world @QuiGon
  5. You could save the money and keep the t16000m, pick up some pedals along the way. I used the t16000m for years, I despised the pedals personally but the stick and throttle were fine. I have a vkb stick and it’s nice, I’m still kinda fine tuning it, and I went with winwing for the throttle quadrant and was lucky enough to get tprs pedals which are super nice but idk if they’re worth the money for most peeps. I hope this helps you along the way.
  6. you're good homie. Reason I say that with the WSPS, if you have a wire strike (knock on wood that I never do) you can't confirm the amount of damage done while flying. Even with a wingman he can't verify components around the rotor, so while the wire didn't immediately drag you down, you're likely gonna want to land as soon as possible. Just like you don't intentionally hit things with your car (I hope) I don't plan to intentionally flying into wires. If CMS works you don't get hit, if WSPS works you got hit I guess is a way of saying it. IDK. My opinion on the matter
  7. I don't wanna get too deep into the weeds with it, but you're kinda combining two separate things. If you sight select TADS it'll mirror the tads with sight symbology on the TDU and the HDU. If you want to use the PNVS or the TADs as a NVS then you have a nvs mode switch will turn that function on. You can't use them in conjunction with each other. I say this with a grain of salt knowing that it's largely dependent on how they implement it into DCS.
  8. "No, it's a artificial intelligence with the ability to destroy my enemies" "I think that's enough computer for tonight"
  9. Got the baby to sleep and have a moment to burn on this. I found it pretty amusing at the end of the day even if I was a bit facetious. I'll admit I'm still kinda confused of what the goal of your original statement was but either way it's all fun. I would say at the end of the day if you wanted to look at it like safety features yes, it's an added feature. So to me CMS would be like antilock brakes on an icy day. If it kicks on and nothing happens I continue my day. Where as the airbags would be like a WSPS with a wire strike, I'm not planning for it, I'm hoping it works as advertised and doesn't break my nose or knock out a tooth or whatever craziness occurs and afterword's I'm done driving, and that's where WSPS sits in my opinion. But yeah I have no argument, you can call me stupid if you want I guess if you don't agree It don't matter it's just a forum. At least you didn't forget what grayscale is called. Tail rotor is vertical specifically for cutting wires
  10. Lol Greenscale and grayscale are the words I was searching for in my head. I was thinking how do I say the tdu doesn’t have all the colors. Lol
  11. Yeah so there’s a switch at the top right and day is black and white and night is a very dim green The tdu is not a multi color display for this timeframe. as far as the recordings, it’ll be black and white unless it’s the new new. So if I were to pull video from a flight I could expect black and white. Even if in the cockpit it’s displayed as green if that makes sense
  12. You’re right
  13. It' wasn't an argument it was a statement, I wanna use this as a growing exercise for me! So I have two options to go forward from here. Option 1: I could list logical reasons and in-depth knowledge and reasoning on why my statement was a statement. Option 2: I could just say "Yeah you're right" You're right!
  14. Ok so we are in agreeance? Because maybe I don't get what you are getting at.
  15. Both seats have access to the codes. Only front seat can lase, but back seat can change them as they desire depending on what they're trying to accomplish.
  16. If you were to hit another car with your car and the airbag deployed. Would you still want to drive it? The airbag not used is the best airbag.
  17. I think you misunderstand my statement but sure.
  18. Best wsps is the wsps that isn't used
  19. I do want to get a collective set in the future, hows the software for the virpil?
  20. Yeah so different nations accomplish this differently, but for us anyways both stations are pilots, doing just a VFR cross country they'll transfer the controls quite a bit. During engagements BS is typically flying and FS is typically responsible for targeting. You can fully fly from either seat.
  21. As a sight the Pilot station does not have access to the MTADs, if you want to use the tads as a sight and utilize the laser functionality you must be in the front seat. However it's largely up to how the AI is incorporated into the game on how this is represented to you guys.
  22. Ok to everyone that has contributed I am very appreciative of your time and efforts. @Skate zilla, I downloaded a different program that would log voltage readings for my processor, gpu, and ram. However I don't know if it was not compatible with my board or not (more than likely not it was hmonitor) and I also downloaded hardware monitor which did read the voltage and temperature readouts but I could not find a way to have it make a log file. However I ran the game for, lets say 2-3 hours continuously, the only major difference was I was not using realtemp. The system did not crash. Now hmonitor would only run for 10 minutes at a time so I was able to record 10 min of game play and what I came out with was under stress my CPU was running about 60 c and the gpu was depending on what was going on between 50-73 (73 being max)c. FPS was between 55-70. Now I tried an assortment of things and I'm unsure of specifically what the issue was but I reinstalled all the drivers for C++ and nvidia and Direct X, probably checked 3 times for motherboard and other assortment of drivers, and unistalled every driver for the joysticks. I hope the problem is solved but I am unsure. I'm 90% sure that the issue I was having was software related, but I reinstalled my saitek controllers drivers so that I could use SVEN's profile for them, and now it's actually reading the profile and doing what I want them to do. Thank you guys very much, also if you have any suggestions or any comments for me please let me know. Thank you. yes arma 2 is still crashing but I think that's hardware related due to the outdatedness of the engine, because oa runs flawlessly.
  23. @ Skate zilla, I'll run it again tonight and log temps and voltage and will post reply. @SVEN There was another forum that said an issue with x52 pro, I might have to try what they want after I explore other possible routes. I'll get back too you. Thanks again for the help and sorry I'm inexperienced. Also if you mean BSOD as in blue screen of death then no, cpu completely crashes to boot screen as if you would have help the power button in for 3-4 sec or hit a reset button. I'm unsure what CTD means but that's what it does. Arma II just crashes to where it looks like the window is minimized and you can see windows, but hear ARMA II, you can move shoot just can't see or get it back maximized up. Sorry I forgot to answer you question.
  24. Here's the update, same issue. All C++ installed, also hosted a multiplayer game and same issue approx 15 min into the game. FPS with gpu turned down is approximately 80-90 fps. Loads fast and runs smooth. Single player lasts a little longer I feel but same thing happened, computer completely crashed. Any Ideas? thanks.
