  1. I believe it was stated that it was going to be out in early access with 2.0, however as we all know "EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE"! :D
  2. No delay, we were never informed of a release date ;) Currently the hopes are for a Q1 Release and the recent surge in images is fuelling that hope.
  3. The addition of even just a small part of England will be a game changer, I am glad you chaps had the foresight to add it so Kudos  Out of interest could the map be increased in size or is the size already pushing the boundaries? P.s. Not a demand, you are already giving more than what was originally planned :D
  4. Ohh yes please
  5. Can we expect to have this included in the future? I recall Yo-Yo mention that he was going to test it, I know it had a pretty large impact to the aircrafts stability and because of this was rarely used (IIRC)? If it won't be implemented I understand why, especially if we get the 170 gallon slipper tank :D
  6. This is just insane, WOW! Fantastic, you should be pretty please with yourself :D
  7. I wouldn't hold my breath on rockets, unless we can 100% confirm there use on IXc and so far I can only find images of them on IXe :( I am trying to find some more images of squadron 74.
  8. Man that just makes me wish we had a late war XVI XD I find the late war rudder a tad more aesthetically pleasing
  9. I read it was IXe, regardless the only huge difference between the ix and xvi is that the engine was either built in the UK Merlin 66 and those built in America Merlin 266 which are the same engine.
  10. If you argue that way can you remove the K4 and D9 from the sim since they weren't used over Normandy, ED can add them back once we get a German theatre THANKS! HELL AT LEAST THERE WAS HISTORICAL EVIDENCE THAT THE 25lbs SPIT WAS ACTUALLY AROUND DURING THE NORMANDY LANDINGS So much fail Sith
  11. LOL you make it sound like these chaps were flying around everywhere at full throttle... you can't even do that with 18lbs it would only be used when needed... Hence the need for this...
  12. Don't worry that is already happening... :music_whistling: I have decided not to bother asking for 25lb/s it is obvious that we will not be getting it even though it is certain that a good few squadrons of spitfire IX were using it. Please correct me on the details below... All these problems boil down to the skewed time frame. If we take the map time frame as June/July we will have 130 octane +18lbs spits until August with 150 being used by ADGB in diver operations. From August +25lbs spits are used on long range missions over Germany from ADGB. Now we know that all the spits on the continent were 130 octane +18lbs so you could argue that it was more likely to encounter 130 Octane Spits over Normandy however if you take into account the retreat of the Luftwaffe and the fact that 2TAF spitfires were now seen in a CAS role harassing the Panzer divisions rather than fighter the case could be argued that the ADGB units flying it armed fighter sweeps and bomber support were more likely to be the fighters encountered by the K4 especially when you consider the K4 only started to arrive in large numbers in October two months after ADGB started its armed recce into German territory... That is why I think we should see at least an option to have +25lbs, it certainly wasn't common in terms of % compared to +18lbs spits during 1944 however looking at the stats simply doesn't tell us the whole story, when you look at the facts it becomes clear that there were Mk IX ~25lbs boosts flying against K4 in Q3/4 1944. In 1945 Spitfire ~25lbs 150 octane squadrons were common however we now have moved on from a Normandy theatre to a defence of the Reich scenario.
  13. Ohhh!! What?
  14. Nice, does that mean the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial pack is coming along nicely? P.S. When will we learn about the 2017 News :music_whistling: :D I hope you realise I will be hounding you all over the forum for news :detective:
  15. Bias - "Cause to feel or show inclination or prejudice for or against someone or something" I really need to take the spitfire to 40k I haven't done it yet!
  16. Correct...
  17. From what I hear it will be out on early access with 2.0.0 so those effects will be there
  18. Also operation crossbow, this is fantastic news
  19. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3026496&postcount=2 Looks ike Rodeo, Rhubarb and Roadstead missions will be coming to DCS :D P.s. I accidentally hit submit could a mod change the name to Rodeo, Rhubarb and Roadstead. Thanks
  20. Fantastic news indeed, I hope we get to fly in Normandy soon :D
  21. If you seriously believe that DefaultFace you obviously haven't flown allies
  22. The situation you witnessed in my experience is quite rare, most of the time there are more Luftwaffe fighters which only adds to the problem. I am not being melodramatic here, I am just raising a point and would like ED to acknowledge the issue. We can't just shrug and say one day VEAO might solve ED need to be the ones. I blew a lot of money to back a Normandy 1944 sim and currently I am not seeing that and we can't just point a finger at RRG when ED are now in charge.
  23. If the situation were reversed you would be moaning as well. By the time the Kurfust and Dora were around in anything close to reasonable numbers the IX had been moved to CAS missions using the tactics learnt by DAF. The spitfire XIV and Tempest were the ones used on fighter recons around this time.
  24. Each to their own, personally I have far more success in a spitfire than I ever have had in a P51. The spitfire has improved the survivability of flying a P51 that is for certain, 109 and 190 pilots have to think twice about going into a turn fight
  25. You have entirely missed the point Kurfust, we don't want the aircraft to be balanced we want the aircraft to be historically correct and a historically correct plane set would bring its own kind of balance. I fly both sides and the simple FACT is that the Luftwaffe have been given the latest and greatest aircraft that have no right to be in a Normandy theatre while the Allies have been given the most common aircraft of the Normandy theatre so this completely upsets any chance of creating a historical setting and certainly any kind of "balance" that could have been achieved. If you speak to anybody that flies on both sides and I am 100% sure that they will tell you flying on the AXIS side is almost always a turkey shoot. As Yo-Yo says speed is life and currently the allies have significantly slower aircraft. Imagine if the allies were given the Spitfire Mk XIV/Tempest and the Axis a 1943 G6 and A8 are you telling me you would be fine with that... Because I would not be I would kicking and screaming as I am now. If the status quo remains then the DCS ww2 venture wil be for nought eventually the people who will only fly for allies will get fed up and find a more enjoyable SIM and the axis pilots will get bored of the lack of opposition which is exactly what we had before the release of the Spitfire. Only the hard-core players remained in very low numbers. The spitfire has certainly brought new players and old ones back but for how long? If something doesn't change then DCS might as well cease work on anything to do with WW2. Now regarding stop moaning and fly axis, well before the release of the spitfire I was flying axis however I get so bored of the lopsided multiplayer I stopped flying for months... I had hoped the IX would do something to counter this and while it certainly has had an impact the truth is that multiplayer remains just as lopsided as before. You do not fly online so I don't expect you to appreciate these facts.
