  1. Yes I really hope you are right.
  2. http://burning-skies.vioo.com.ua/en/servers/4/show.html Says it all...
  3. Of course, there are many factors as to why the axis win on BS and one of these is the simple fact that there are always more axis on teamspeak working together while I am on TS last night by myself for the most part with three 109s jumping me on take off I shadowed a 109 at his base on the weekend and ended up only catching him circling above the very base I TOOK OFF FROM LOL, this was because I didn't want to just attack him after take off but still a huge height advantage didn't help me catch him
  4. So you prove my point, bar the cannons the P51 is the better aircraft for b&z
  5. The short answer to both of those questions is NO. The BS stats prove that online things are still quite one sided. If a 109 or 190 runs it is because they are using the performance advantage to ensure they can dictate the fight not fleeing more tactics
  6. The spitfire is probably the hardest aircraft to b&z given how easily one can overload the structure.
  7. ~405mph compared to ~415mph is hardly obsolete. Unfortunately MaxDamage and Kurfust I find your points of view so uncompromisingly biased I can't take you seriously.
  8. Yes and it proves my point, however you want to spin it the K4 was a rare aircraft thank you  G14 would have been the perfect choice great performance but not quite so fast. Historical production values...
  9. Oh dear... You do realize that the kurfust was a rare aircraft, look at the G6 and G14 much closer in terms of performance. Now look at the Griffin spitfires and tempest which were the front line fighter in the timeline of the kurfust. The IX in late 1944/1945 was ever increasingly used for CAS missions
  10. It is incredibly annoying that we now have to struggle along with an older aircraft until the XIV makes an appearance or someone gets given the nod to make the G6 or G14 the later of which would have been the correct choice. The whole it wasn't EDs response is beginning to wear very very thin, they could and should have changed it now the allies are on the back foot and if a 109 or 190 decides to run you can't do anything about it. Add to this the 109 and 190 pilots and squads that have had years to learn the aircraft and the situation gets a whole lot worse. I am counting on VEAO to change the quite frankly awful status quo I don't think ED care about the miss match unfortunately.
  11. Wow https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=AKIG14mPb0AC&pg=PT183&lpg=PT183&dq=spitfire+A+Soldier+in+the+Cockpit:+From+Rifles+to+Typhoons+in+WWII&source=bl&ots=-uC0MHWgpG&sig=WyPikMKoGtszJasc1d1g1S9PH-8&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwix87KBz9rRAhXI8ywKHWDkBx4Q6AEIGjAA#v=onepage&q=Spitfire%20tore&f=false You really have to re learn how to fly in the spitfire, incredibly manoeuvrable but you have to be gentle! Thanks for sharing + rep!
  12. +1 the spitfires control column is ~1 meter long and moves 11° forward and aft :joystick:
  13. Thanks for the link, it ties up well with what Yo-Yo stated. After seeing the video showing the aircraft going above 10G I have adjusted my diving to be gently when above 400mph. Interestingly there is a chapter from Jeffrey Quil "Spitfire a test pilots story" where he goes into a detailed discussion about the elevators and stability he had an accelerometer in his aircraft and would routinely take the spitfires to 7-8 g at 480 mph I will post the chapter here later today, they used a Bob weight at first to stop the elevator movement at higher g and then replaced it with the change to the elevators horn balance. From this paragraph I now believe that the stick forces are not fully implemented at present.
  14. Oh come on solty play fair the Germans don't have a fast late war aircraft currently.... Hmmm hang on a sec! :music_whistling::doh: Hopefully P-47 is next however I don't think it will have such a big impact if sorties online are still at roof top level. That said it will probably be the best diver and with its radial engine it can take an absolute beating and get home.
  15. Yeah, he did it to me was well Carbide. For me it is the worst crime, even Trump wouldn't be able to wriggle out of punishment for doing it! ;)
  16. Sorry I didn't mean to be an ass, I would rather ED and co concentrate on aircraft that had a big role in 1944 before they move on to other theatres ;)
  17. I do agree that it wasn't particularly successful from a fighter point of view however as a ground pounding it was very good and we NEED it in a Normandy map. I would love to see a Tempest and a Hurricane :D
  18. Normandy... 1944.... Nope. Now a Typhoon? Yes please.
  19. RP3 Normally found on Typhoons with 8 to 12 rockets. Squadron 74 apparently operated them with 2 installed :) however I am unsure if the IXc carried them IXe could however since they use the same wing the IXc should have been able to ;)
  20. :music_whistling:
  21. I hope we get the four slipper fuel tanks 30, 45, 90 and 170 gallon :)
  22. I believe Yo-Yo post is in regards to this mod. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2319994/
  23. It does appear that the spitfires manouverability is a double edged sword of sorts. We simply don't have the feeling of dread that stopped pilots in any aircraft from going right up to the limit
  24. I have read quite a few books and not a single one mentions adjusting the convergence. Like I have stated before and since some of you clearly can't read, I am 100% against sliders they are open to abuse and don't come up with "but that is realistic" it is nonsense. Now provided you can produce a document that state's a set convergence then I think it is fair to ask ED for that convergence to be added. A slider system though is garbage.
