  1. I was worried when I saw all the comments about how difficult it is to fly. I bought it yesterday and I was surprised... Maybe it was my previous experience with the Black Shark but I didn't find it THAT difficult control. I'm by no means good at it yet but I was able to pick it up, hover a bit and take off on my first try and survive the landing on my second try. I'd say go for it, learning is just part of the fun, ain't it?
  2. It seems the clouds are the biggest hit to performance for me. The same mission with cloudy skies will run at lower frames and it only gets worst as i get near them. Is there a way to reduce their performance impact? Lower resolution perhaps?
  3. Its actually pretty huge for an RC. Can't imagine how much it most cost...
  4. I thought about what PeterP said... That racing pedals are to close together for comfort. So i started to think of a simple way to make the pedals larger and found some metal plates laying around. To my surprise, they bolted right in the original holes! It may not be ideal, but it should do 'till I finally decide to get somereal rudder pedals.
  5. Wouldn't it defeat the purpose of the name "Digital Combat Simulator"?
  6. double post... dunno how that happened.
  7. That's not a factory option :smartass: Ferrari's don't come with cup holders
  8. That's like complaining the Ferrari you wanted to buy has no cup holders...
  9. That is perhaps the only aspect of warfare I would probably not be interested in (at least for now.) Unless its in the form of carrier ops with an F/A-18 :D
  10. What about people without (for the moment) any pedals at all. It would probably be best to have pedal trim so you don't have to keep the stick twisted all the time.
  11. It could be like ARMA without playable infantry but more realistic vehicle gameplay? (Although infantry is the main thing in ARMA so that example might not work...)

I don't think the Ka-50 has any radars... Its been a while since i climbed into its cockpit, though. I could be wrong.
  13. So does the RL Huey trim the pedals with the cyclic? I'm confused...
  14. There is definitely a problem with your game setup somewhere. My system is no where near yours and and with most settings on medium (except water and civ traffic) and heat blur, msaa x4, cockpit shadows but no HDR it runs around 50 - 60. I can't tell exactly what could be the fault, hopefully someone with more knowledge then me can help you.
  15. I think the tension adjustment is more a question of comfort then realism. Its just like the friction adjustment on the X52 throttle. I would set it to the most comfortable setting for you.
  16. I guess I'll just have to wait and see once it goes on special.
  17. Doesn't it just mean the pedals will be included in the trim system?
  18. Agreed. Unfortunately, they won't ship to Canada (and are $125 on amazon.ca)
  19. Further more: EDIT: Beaten by Grizzly47
  20. But in the manual its written that it does...
  21. Bump Anyone?
  22. Isn't that what force trim button's for? So you don't have to keep the controls in a certain position?
  23. Is there some kind of way to lock the Huey to avoid such a thing?
  24. It depends... If we're talking about "Dawn of the Dead" type of zombies, probably but "The Walking Dead" zombies? Maybe you'd have enough time.
  25. Seems like they're both 1066Mhz
