IFF is Identification Friend or Foe. It is not implemented in the game.

Off the top of my head, anything that has to do with IFF is just eye candy and can be skipped.

I think you can skip the CDU and still be able to use the Warthog pretty efficiently. I skipped the CDU part for the same reason as you. You eventually get to know some of it by fooling around the cockpit and watching videos on youtube.

Seems like a faulty install, I would reinstall the game if I were you. Also its suggested to reboot your PC after installing a game.

While we're on the subject, is there a way to match the MP menu resolution? It seems to be a lower res then the main menu.

One thing i found helps a LOT is to boost the contract setting quite a bit. Look for a friendly unit or any other type of hot object and adjust your contrast until your happy with the setting.

I think the problem is because DCS uses a fairly old graphic engine, it cannot make full use of multi-core CPUs. EDGE should solve that problem. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If I remember correctly... DSMS, SJET (selective jettison), select the tanks and drop with weapon release.

In the mission planner, you can change the UHF frequency before you take off. Is it possible to change the VHF frequencies as well?

I think Nevada (the desert map) was only available in the beta.

You can try DCS World for free and fly the Su25T. It should give you a good idea of how well your PC can run DCS A-10C.
