  1. dibs on your 7970 bro. Cost of postage to AU if you're not recycling it?
  2. Any way to change the intensity on the fly? Like, if I am flying with my sunvisor down?
  3. no probs, will look into other dev comms avenues
  4. Yeah, I thought as much too. Figured posting on the forums would be the polite way to get community modder and dev attention. oh well!
  5. Technically, you can - have your friend create an account with digitalcombatsimulator.com first. Identify the keys on you have for A-10A and Su-25 in the Module Manager Log onto https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/licensing/ Check details on each key and unbind them from your login. Give them to your mate of choice, and get him to activate those keys on https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/licensing/ under his login. Should work. Legally? Maybe not.
  6. It's been tricky for me to create one lately as well. Many thanks for providing one, AlaskanGrizzly!
  7. haha, you think you have a short fuse? check out Torino's posts, lol But back to the topic - don't feel bad man. TrackClip Pro's break erry day. Best not to get a new one, rather replace the armature with something more sturdy. I'm sure you've got the will and the wherewithal to do so. Save yourself another $50 spent on crap.
  8. *shrugs*
  9. for AUD$389, that's a steal for a 4+Ghz processor. Oh yeah, my reputation is bad because I didn't care for Paul Walker's death. Such a lovely community here, somtimes.
  10. No problems Peety, You'll need to drop graphics to low to achieve 30+fps, yes - Cichlidfan is correct. The purpose is for the learning experience, so by the time you're able to upgrade your system or migrate to a much more powerful system you'll at least have the basics of A-10C under your belt.
  11. Peety, Your CPU's performance is going to be the deciding factor for your experience with DCS A-10C. Unfortunately if I've picked out the correct result from PassMark, your i5 doesn't score hugely. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-3330+%40+3.00GHz I will say this, though - It'll run it at or above 30fps. Don't expect to play massive missions smoothly, though. Multiplayer with a couple of friends and a simple objective or daisy-chained (not concurrent) objectives will be fine. You'll find that when you look in the direction of a lot of action (eg, several fighters engaging/bombing or 10+ tank battle) your FPS will drop, due to simulation load on your CPU. This happens even on an Intel i7 990X @ 4.7Ghz with 24GB RAM, so DCS is an extremely CPU-intensive sim, not GPU (graphics). I used to have a Saitek X-52 before upgrading to an X-65F, and I can say that the extra dollars spent isn't necessarily worth spending on the X-52 if you plan on upgrading to a better HOTAS later. Reserve the savings for a headtracking solution, if you don't already have one - or something else you need. Cheers, Tassel 990X at stock 3.47Ghz 990X OC'd to 4.65Ghz
  12. Baz, Reference: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1949145&postcount=1 The 1.2.7 OpenBeta announcement post stated "...you will use the Module Manager to install your modules". Once you've corrected your 1.2.7 OpenBeta install, test it and get into the Module Manager. You should be able to install Huey from there. If it isn't there, it isn't a module that's a part of the 1.2.7 Openbeta test candidate - the same may not be said of Flaming Cliffs 3, though.
  13. cool huh?
  14. lol, yep
  15. Of course it's called for. What is this, a competition to compose the most heartfelt eulogy? He had nothing to do with sims, just low-IQ pop culture.
  16. Good Riddance, lol
  17. Buuuump! C'mon seriously - has no-one tried? All I want to do is split Radio to Headset, and World/SFX to the speakers. Might have to derp this one myself...
  18. Calm down. Have some dip. Just let ED do their job and don't speculate on update schedules. It isn't productive discussion.
  19. Hi, I have two sound cards - one outputting to a headset, the other outputting to a set of surround speakers. Is it possible to split the output so that helmet sounds go to the headset, and world sounds go to the speakers? Cheers! Tassel
  20. Perhaps try Process Lasso - http://bitsum.com/ I find it's very useful indeed. Trial version will manage thread priority for defined processes without any problems, so there's no real need to purchase. Worth the money if you do decide to buy a licence.
  21. I'm in the same situation you are GC, Had tried and tested the WH and the X-65, and can't justify purchasing the WH as I don't bother with A-10C yet and besides - more moving parts = higher chance for failure. I expect a purchase of the X65F will last much longer than the WH ever could. And yes, the X65F is metal (not plastic) construction with quality plastic buttons in places.
  22. perhaps try removing DCS' core affinity from Core#0. Tools like ProcessLasso can do the job well. I'm not aware of a command switch that would do the same thing on the shortcut, or an event in the Scheduler that could perform the same task.
  23. Sorry to be a smart-alec, but you should fix your post if it contains known, easily correctible errors ;)
