You're talking mils, which is a measure of angular variation correct? In that case (linearly) your deviation (as a guide) would still be 3.5mils measured from the POF to the POA, no matter the distance past 100m. Taking ballistics into consideration, the MPI may vary but the spread angle measured would remain consistent wouldn't it? Only the MPI area would change, by factor similar or equal to that of the variation in distance?

Steam Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and Steam Specific Issues
snuffles replied to ShaZe88's topic in Steam Support
No, it didn't. Shagrat's just a troll, or a big/LITTLE man in a bad mood. All in all, going to openbeta in steam isn't an impossibility - you just have to check your menus installing non-steam DCS mods isn't an impossibility - you just have to use WIN+E a few times Waiting a little time for a new mod to come out isn't a dealbreaker - just wait for a steam sale. Pretty simple stuff, for pretty simple people. Just a shame there are so many who just like to stamp their feet and act like spoilt single-minded brats. -
See above if you watt to update, go to openbeta etc
-
No worries. Help me out here with the reputation ;)

probably not a fan of the delay in release of modules in comparison to non-steam installs -
you can still send the key to a friend. Deregister it on the account management page at Digitalcombatsimulator.com website.

NON-STEAM ONLY: Guide on using DCS Updater: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 For Steam, use 'Verify Game Cache'
-
DCS non-steam: Use the DCS_Updater.exe in cmd to update to the openbeta. Guide: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 Note that you may need to create a mirror of your DCS folder for it to work. Steam versions of DCS can do this by going to: Library - DCS World - Properties - betas Select openbeta. No code required. Click OK and start the download.

Should I buy a new graphics or wait?
snuffles replied to hideki2's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
hush. It is a valid point, in keeping with the fact that AMD is dropping prices aggressively in competition. Secondly, it is NOT good info. It is opinion - call it fanboyism if you like, you seem to want to be offended here. Your lashing out in response is the height of rudeness, not to mention impulsive. The point I'm making is; Once you have the information from the benchmark thread, then you can make an informed decision in regards to: $/FPS above target FPS $/db above target db $/°C above target temp $/Watt @ peak:current PSU capability Don't be sold to subjective information. It's a market, not a baseball team. Currently there is no benchmark for DCS, so it's high time it were done. -
Should I buy a new graphics or wait?
snuffles replied to hideki2's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Just wait, seriously. When EDGE gets released, play it smart and start up a benchmark thread. Gather info and then make an informed decision, not a fanboy-sold impulse you'll actually regret -

you're going nuts. Wish I could help you with your TrackIR problem; it isn't something I find troublesome to correct with FreeTrack + X-65F -
Did anyone ever try to isolate the cause of the problem by unbinding the slew controls from the joystick and HOTAS profile, and using the keyboard instead? Just a thought. It isn't your joystick doing this. It also happens when using Freetrack with mouse emulation, and cursor slew bound to the mouse axes.

I think it's time the product evolved. Seriously, we've already discussed its' flaws. They just don't fix them...

Anyone using X-65F for helicopters?
snuffles replied to Razor5-1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It takes getting used to, like learning how to use a NIA. Once you're comfortable you're fine. -
Freetrack works, trust me here. Make sure your camera is just picking up your LEDs for starters. Any chance of uploading your freetrack config for troubleshooting?

How to let cooliehat auto center?
snuffles replied to Lao Fei Mao's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
In your Smart Technology profiler for the X52, set the 'centered' position of the coolie hat to the 'center view' key. The problem is, the game may treat this as a key held down, rather than a single key-press when the hat returns to center. -
I wouldn't entertain the idea. The flight has been hijacked, and no demands have been made on the lives of the passengers. They are either dead or isolated. End of story.

You've got over 800Mhz in your phone, who says 4, maybe 5Ghz dedicated hardware isn't possible for a protection system?

The learning curve is steep, but unless you aren't facing any enemy.. you will probably be doing a lot of dying. Try the servers that host training missions.

I wonder how it performs on an AMD A6-6400 then?
