  1. Maybe you should reread my reply. Reading comprehension can go a long way. I'll post an example when I get home on how to change the lua for throttles and other switches.
  2. And you missed the point of the first post I made in this thread. The functionality is already there. You can do everything with lua.
  3. I've made this argument a dozen times already. The only reason it works like it does for the A-10C is due to the fact that the TM HOTAS is identical to the one we have in the sim. You cannot realistically expect ED to make custom controller confirm for each and every plane with dissimilar HOTAS configurations. There is nothing to criticize because even if ED did decide to add a configuration then we would have complaining about why they didn't map it the way THEY wanted. I cannot expect everyone to like the way my Warthog is configured for the F-15 or MiG-21 and I wouldn't expect ED to make a profile for them either that I or many other customers would like. And I'm tired of trying to have rational discussions with irrational people so here is my final statement on this topic. Quit being lazy and figure it out for your damn self. If you can't be assed to map commands for a dissimilar system then I believe your playing the wrong game.
  4. Guys, just take a look at the input.lua and you should understand why it works for A-10C and not other modules. It's trivial to apply the same concepts to any other aircraft. I'm able to start and stop the F-15's engines with my Warthog and other functions. And please don't say that ED should be responsible. The only reason the A-10C works is because ED was kind enough to include a custom .lua for it since the TM warthog was made specifically for DCS: A-10C. It's not up to ED to bind every button and axis for you for aircraft that don't have that same HOTAS because it's just not practical. It's up to the end user to choose what works best for them. Edit for clarification.
  5. Someone made a nice script for DCS. I don't have a link for you but if you search for IADS you should come up with something.

  7. I think I know what OP is talking about. I often have to enable and reenable autopilot when climbing. I haven't done extensive testing since I only use it for getting up to altitude, but at about 9,000-10,000 feet I'll notice the plane dropping usually the left wing until it disable autopilot. Disabling autopilot and trimming the aircraft then reenabling autopilot seems to work for me. I have noticed that it is a different behavior than in previous patches. I noticed it happening in 1.2.8 I believe.
  8. Missiles are indeed a work in progress. I remember a while back dueling with a pilot in an F-15C, same as me, and we were both at sea level. Both of us would fire a missile at each other which was roughly 6 nmi of separation. I fired at him 4 separate times and would maneuver to avoid his missile which was shot at about the same time. All 4 times neither my missile or his hit either of us. We were both using AIM-120s. I can only hope the guy they have assigned to missiles has some free time in near future to work on the models some more. IASGATS missile performance mod is excellent. Guidance needs to be looked at too but since that is hard coded into the sim, only ED can improve that.
  9. Ah, that makes a little more sense.
  10. Literally the same video OP posted.
  11. Unsure if this has been posted before but I found this on youtube and thought you guys might enjoy.
  12. I'm a little excited to possibly fly a bit in the Grand Canyon. Could be a lot of fun in a Huey.
  13. I'm trying this out, but if don't have it in windows mode it just stretches outside of my screen's boundaries. I'm hoping there is a way to work around this or do I have to play in full screen?
  14. I'm not sure if you're implying that I have at one point burned up all my activations, but no I haven't. I'm close though on my A-10C install which I bought almost 3 years ago now. I've been careful with it after the first two activations but I've used half of them by now. I'm just trying to think of a solution that has less headache. It's not that the current system doesn't work, it's just that I feel that it could be improved. But I think I'll quit trying if I'm just going to be chastised for it.
  15. I know that you already get one activation back once you run out. I'm proposing that we can regain the entire pool but it just won't be as many.
  16. Why couldn't they lower the amount of activations you get to say five, but you regenerate activations to a cap of five. One regeneration per month? Seems like that could solve most of the issues unless I'm missing something.
  17. I haven't had much luck with 5000 ft. Go for a higher height. Should give better results.
  18. Ah cool. Thanks for the reply. Maybe someday I'll learn how to fly a real airplane lol.
  19. I am unsure of how real world ATC works, but from my understanding they do give you the current air pressure which you dial in. But what about at fields without ATC? Wouldn't you just dial it in yourself? And could you do that anyway even with ATC?
  20. I'm not too certain on that, but I don't think you should need to reactivate. I believe there is a way to deactivate a module so you can get your activation back but I don't know the correct steps.
  21. I would try a full reinstall. Wipe out everything and start from scratch. You could probably save your controller profiles though.
  22. PAC-1 is only engaged when you press the first trigger. PAC-1 is meant to stabilize the plane on your guns attack run just before you pull the trigger to the second stage. Also it will stabilize the plane so the CCIP gun cross will remain stationary on the ground. Rockets on the other hand have a slightly longer range so as the distance decreases the rocket CCIP pipper will continue to move to the bottom of the HUD and accuracy will be compromised since the pipper is always moving. Once you pull the trigger to the second stage PAC-2 is enabled and the plane will adjust elevator to compensate for gun recoil and to deliver gun rounds accurately. So yes, PAC-1 should be disengaged for rockets. Edit: I've done plenty of practice runs with rockets to improve my accuracy and that is the only way you will see better results, especially with unguided munitions. I've done the PAC-1 with rockets before when I was trying to improve my skills. It doesn't work as well as I thought.
  23. You shouldn't use pac with rockets.
  24. This patch is definitely slower to load into a mission than the previous patches.

I'll bite. The AIM-9X would like to have a word with you. :megalol:
