Could use a 2 axis or 3 axis controller with a couple stepper motors with your arduino to give it some kind of INS. Throw in a barometric sensor so you can program it to pop the chute at it's maximum altitude and you're set to go. Could even program it do turn after a set amount of seconds to guide it on a certain trajectory with that set up. For boards, you could use a Teensy. They're plenty small and they have a lot of nice libraries.

I'd say a 2-6 months before you start getting the feel for it depending on how much you play. I don't really get to play as much as I would like so I'm pretty terrible online.

Keep it up. You'll be able to take on 4 expert Su-27s in no time. Just watch out for their trap. They like to lure you into a vertical fight and if you don't have the energy to keep up you'll be toast.

Not sure if this is related but I've had it happen on more than one occasion where an ER that was launched at me will reacquire me and continue to track after lock was broken from the parent aircraft and the parent aircraft is turned away from me. I've had this kill me a few times now since I was under the impression that once an ER has lost lock you are essentially safe from it. I know it stopped then started tracking from watching the track files. This is a rare occasion and I can only test against against AI but it does happen once in a while. Although I do get a warning from the RWR. And ECM is definitely turned off. If I can, I'll do my best to get a track but I don't know how to reproduce it.

I would say it's more CPU bound in it's current state. While the graphics card helps, when I upgraded from a 570 to a 780 I only got about a 10 FPS increase. I was using an AMD Phenom II x4 965 then. When I upgraded to a 4770k (and obviously new motherboard; MSI Z87 GD65) I went from about a 40-60 average FPS to over 100-130 depending on number of objects in the sim. Also, congrats on the TIR. It really is a whole new experience. You may want to look into getting some rudder pedals to go with your warthog too.

Presing, I have no idea what you're trying to report. I would guess that neither do the testers either. Instead of just dumping pictures and saying to fix it, explain the problem and provide a track.

As far as I know even the A-10A had a HMCS. Can't verify, but talked to a pilot that flew in one during Iraqi Freedom and said they had them.

I've also read that some people use it to help with aiming the TGP while in air to air mode.
