  2. Diversity is good, imo. Add different voice-overs, male and female, for ATC, pilots and so on. Add female 3d models of pilots, soldiers and whatnot. All these are technical aspects of the game that can and perhaps should be adjusted eventually. This is something we surely can and should discuss. But the community here as such, or it's members and how they interact with each other - in general and especially concerning gender issues - is not to be discussed here. Imo. This forum is about DCS and only DCS (moderators have made that very clear in the past). And thus, such social issues do not belong here. It is, simply put, just off-topic. If I don't like someone, or if someone behaves in a way I dislike, then there is always the option to send a private message.
  3. Yay! Next week! Looking forward to it! And in the meantime I enjoy the Harrier with all the latest bug fixes and additions. On Facebook. Good that monday is a holiday and we have a long weekend! :D
  4. This is what todays small patch did: 00022.566 INFO : To download: 0 bytes in 0 files 00022.635 STATUS: Removing obsolete files... 00022.809 INFO : Removed 0 files. 00023.975 INFO : Kept 45488 files. 00023.975 STATUS: Installing new files... 00023.976 INFO : Installed 0 files. i.e. nothing that would affect us.
  5. I am pretty sure that nobody wants new or different aircraft, other than the ones we aleady got (or that are already announced).
  6. Slewing the target designator using TDC -according to NWP 3-22.5-AV8B Vol. 1 (A1-AV8BB-TAC-000.PDF): In DCS, the cue it is always ground stabilized.
  7. According to NWP 3-22.5-AV8B Vol. 1 (A1-AV8BB-TAC-000.PDF) the DMT has a roll limit of 450°. In DCS it seems to be unlimited.

    Amazing!

Something I noticed (maybe because I reported it back then): the english localization of the cockpit elements seems to be complete now! Awesome!
  10. The mod was not taken down, but the "hole" in ED's coding that allowed the mod to work was eventually fixed and thus rendering the mod useless. Iirc that was at a time where there basically only the KA-50 and the A-10C existed in our world. So every discussion about the 64E was therefore also automatically about the A-10C and ED's contract. Afaik ED's stance still stands: no 65E for A-10C. Besides the fact (iirc) our A-10 Gurus claimed, that the 65E never was used by the A-10C and therefore would not be a realistic loadout. But yeah, Wags pet phrase might also apply the other way around: everything is subject to change ... (but don't count on it! addendum by me ;-)
  11. .... "(WIP)" - as in "but you can't load them, yet"?
  12. That is not what OP decribes, imo. I understand it this way: the aircraft "remembers" that you had pressed weapon release. When switching to CCIP, it will release the weapon - although you are not pressing the pickle button anymore. I.e. the bomb falls, the moment you switch to CCIP, not the moment you press pickle while in CCIP. This would be clearly a bug, imo, as this behaviour is completely unsuspected and rightous dangerous.
  13.:doh::music_whistling: Of course you were right ..... I need to fly more (but it's difficult in general if every module you own has one or more flaws that spoil the fun in one way or the other) But, yeah, after turning on the radar by flipping that switch to A1, the radar screen comes alive in all it's glory. Sorry for causing this confusion/mess.... /thread
  14. Just tried that, but the problem persists.
  15. Starting a mission in-flight over Caucasus or Normandy: when set to NAV, the radar screen stays black. Switching to ANF, it illuminates green, but no radar-sweep-bar-thingy moving and no radar returns show up. Setting the weapons selector to the appropriate setting then turns off the radar screen agan (this time as expected). DCS settings are all set to max (textures, etc.) and it also makes no difference if I set "Cockpit displays" to 512 or 1024. Nobody else noticed this, yet?
  16. The slash in the path name of the Controls Indicator is wrong: device_init.lua creators[devices.CONTROLS] = {"AJS37::avControlsIndicator", LockOn_Options.script_path.."ControlsIndicator\Indicator\ControlsIndicator.lua", {}} dcs.log 2018-04-27 19:03:47.173 ERROR COCKPITBASE: ccLuaLoader::LuaDofile(L, "./Mods/aircraft/AJS37/Cockpit/scripts/ControlsIndicatorIndicatorControlsIndicator.lua"): Missed file ./Mods/aircraft/AJS37/Cockpit/scripts/ControlsIndicatorIndicatorControlsIndicator.lua
  17. Somehow Caucasus 2.5.1 seems to bit quite unstable for me. No matter which aircraft, I get fairly often various crashes - be it when starting a new mission in the ME and clicking on the load out icon (Spitfire) or when flying over Caucasus (Viggen, Harrier). No mods ofc, and in the end, I deleted terrain/Caucaus and run another repair. This crash now happened after starting a fresh mission in the ME with only the Harrier in it. Starting the mission, the load screen appeared and after some time, probably right in the moment when the "fly!" dialog should appear (but still at the load screen), DCS crashed again. See attached logs. dcs.log-20180427-023933.zip

  20. ? ... because they like to work in a structured way and try to avoid chaos by not opening 5 new tasks for every finished task every time someone asks for it?

  22. It was this way during the very first few weeks after the module was released. At that time the flex sight was not implemented yet, and as a workaround a simple reticle projected on the wind shield was provided instead.

  24. Carrier Air Wing 8 having fun on a field trip today? :D
  25. 3D Editor was requested years ago, but also the smaller brother of it, the Unit-Outline-Editor was suggested already several times. So ... +213 for all the previous requests and +1 from me! :D
