I could not perform a vertical take off with 4 x Zuni pods. So I checked my weight in the mission editor and it was ofc way above the respective weight limit. 4 Zuni pods too heavy as a payload? Checking 4 x Mk.82 ... this would be ok. That felt strange. So I looked closer: one LAU-10 with 4 ZUNIs weight - according to the mission editor - over 900 lb! According to Wikipedia a single rocket (just the motor, no warhead) weights about 80 lb. Warheads seem to be typically in the range of about 45 - 50 lb. That makes it 130 lb per weapon ... times 4 makes it 520 lb. And the pod itself then weights about another 400 lb? That seems to be a "tad bit" off, no?

How can I pre-order in Europe? flightsimcontrols.com seem not have them in the store pages?

Weired things happen when changing barometric pressure...

Sounds like this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=191426 -
BST added two separate axes (horiz./vert.) for the door gunners quite some time ago. I haven't tried it out, yet, but looks as if you are not limited to TrackIR + Mouse anymore.

So, not the sender of that message, but the receiver - i.e. your wingman - becomes unresponsive? That is now yet another twist of the whole story. You know what? Just post a short test mission and/or a track demonstrating the issue.

No other module? You were talking about a E-2D and it's issue with transmitting a message - how is that specific to the Harrier? Sounds like a problem with the DCS base game to me - so I would agree that this does not belong into the "Mission Builders Corner", but instead rather in one the Bugs section under "DCS World 1.5 & 2.0 Open Alpha".

Yes. Modules are activated "per computer", not "per installation" or "per dcs version". So if you have activated modules on your computer and install 2.5 (or update an older dcs version to 2.5), the 2.5 module manager will prompt you to install all your modules right away. (De-)Activation is only necessary if you change your computer DCS is running on (or modify it so much that the DRM thinks that it is a new/different system).

Erm ... before I facepalm and probably hurt myself ... may I ask, who is "us" and why do "you" not just use/read/post in the twelve dozend similar threads in this wishlist sub-forum (and any other sub-forum, for that matter)?

"Critical" might be a relative term ... but I do hope that Razbam will have some updates ready for the Harrier before end of January...

Mission Editor Issue
Flagrum replied to Panthir's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
There never was an ACTIVATE GROUP command. What you are looking for is probably GROUP ACTIVATE... -
Either the DMT moves as you are closing in at the target if you fly level, or you altitude is decreasing in an, well, increasing rate (plus your speed might increase as well). Either should be enough to calculate the firing solution, I would think?

It should be possible to adjust (or copy and change) the Mission Generator Templates that are used to build the missions. But tbh, I never got to get used to the Mission Generator - it seems to be fairly ... unintuitive.

In general: all modules (aircraft, maps, add-on packs) are working in every DCS variant. But there are two "BUT"s to be aware of! The small "but": But right now, any map besides Georgia is only working in DCS 2.x. This will change soon, when DCS 2.5 will be released in Jan/Feb 2018. The big "but": BUT the DRM systems of Steam and Non-Steam Variants of DCS are NOT COMPATIBLE. That means, it depends on where you buy a module - it will then run only in the respective DCS variant! (There are exceptions, but this general rule does still apply)

The DCS Updater downloads everything into a temporary directory within the install directory. From there the files are moved(!) to their correct position. In the end, that temp. directory is empty and the files in the install directory are up to date.

"Cool" message? Zunis are dumb rockets that do not need any cooling... And CCIP not active? Your HUD said it was. Imo you should have been able to fire without problems. But Weapon Release Button (not Trigger - that one is for Guns and Side(winder|arm) only!) did nothing?
-
Any module will also be available in DCS 2.5 (without having to re-purchase them or whatever). Whatever you bought for 1.5 will be available for 2.5 eventually and receive updates there. Only if you decide to stay on DCS 1.5, you will not get any updates for it anymore, neither the base game, nor any modules that are installed in it.

 You need to provide more information ... if you want to get help with the issue. Or ... keep it for yourself - but then also keep your attitude for yourself. First, which DCS version are you using? You purchased the KA-50 module - what did the Module Manager of DCS say about the module when you start DCS? Did the Module Manager even ran the installation process for it? If yes, which mission did you start to get into the helo? Post the DCS.log file (in C:\Users\<your-windows-user>\Saved Games\DCS\log\DCS.log ) here. You may need to put it into a .ZIP file first, though.

The flight manual and possible additional documentation of a module is located (aka deeply burried) inside the DCS installation folder. Besides from the DCS installation itself, no Start Menu entries are added when a new module is installed. Reading questions regarding where to find the docs ever so often here on the forums ... ED, please make the docs folder the modules easier accessible! For example, add a link for each module in the module manager that opens the respective Docs folder. And/or add means to get to there as well from the module icons on the main screen. Just make it somewhat obvious of how to access the docs.

Gazelle helicopter rudder trim has been removed? Seriously???
Flagrum replied to D4n's topic in Game Performance Bugs
The "Special" setting options are part of the module and thus in the responsibility of the respective devs. -
+1 for WIP The current implementation of the ASL in auto mode does not exactly help you to line up properly. Rather the contrary, imo. ASL behaving strange

As far as I understand the Angle Rate Bombing System, it should not have to rely on measuring the aircraft's altitude - or rather the difference between it's altitude and the target elevation. The changing slant angle should be enough, afaik.
-
GBU's can be dropped as dumb bombs, no laser required. But to actually hit something from 15000 ft ... well, what was the AI's skill level set to?
-
Harder? I haven't said that. It is probably as complex and difficult to put into software than any other module. But OP asked, why that hasn't happened yet. The answer is: because every developer so far was occupied with other projects and there were apparently no devs with enough time available to work on a B-17. Or F-104. Or ... whatever the favourite airplane of the day of anyone might be.

I can't remember seeing anything in regards to if we will be able to load up and use JDAMs. But I found out that the A1-AV8BB-NFM-000 is refering to JDAMs several times. For example, there are supposed to be additional parameters that can be entered (UFC/ODU) for JDAMs in the Target Data Block of a waypoint/markpoint. So, will we going to get to utilize JDAMs eventually?
