That sounds like a Mirage problem, which if I am not mistaken was said to be fixed in some of the patch notes. I've flown trough plenty of wakes and have not had anything broken
-
I am for wake staying, unless it affects server performance. Don't think that the server gets that populated or it gets enough aircraft bunched up in one spot to causes issues. Wake is affected by size and weight.

Can I also suggest that people should stop hi-jacking the original poster's thread on how to defeat the missile, by starting the old argument of who believes what is and is not possible
-
Don't take my words out of context. I did not say that it is not capable of loosing track in general. I was referencing to the switching to a different aircraft, than the intended target in a furball, as mentioned by the post above my original one. Lock-on after launch, loosing track and switching targets mid flight due to confusion (aircraft or flare) are 3 different things

Funny.... soo you see my post where I say that US ships do actually engage the Harpoon... Well, guess what.... ONLY the AGM-84D has a "reflection"(RCS) of 0.16 according to the game files.... All other types of the AGM-84 platform have 0.08 "reflection" meaning.... US ships can only engage the one launched by players in the Hornet..... all other types, like the AGM-84S (or even A), which is launched from another ship, cannot be engaged with missiles. The AGM-84E (SLAM) also has a "reflection" of 0.08. The CIWS engaged one single AGM-84S and then stopped defending. Ground based systems like the S-300 and Patriot can engage them

Not having a target at launch and acquiring it post launch is different (something the ET is not capable of) to having a lock from the moment of launch, but getting heat sources confused on the way to the target. Missile doesn't loose track, it just starts tracking something else
-
Funnily enough, CM-802AKGs (same shape as C-802AK) is engaged by Patriot in-game, but non of the US ships can engage them with missiles. Supposedly those ships have more advanced radars than the Patriot we have ? Is it the weapon RCS ? I don't know... there are a lot of similarly shaped weapons which are being engaged.... It might just be a case of AI radars needing an adjustment.
-
This is a serious issue, both top of the line systems do not engage Anti Radiation Missiles like the HARM and LD-10. They do engage Kh-58Us. SA-15s engage HARMs, but they can only spot LD-10 under 5km and have no time to react. Chinese missiles really need their RCS adjusted, or AI SAM's radars adjusted. I know for a fact that S-300 used to engage HARMs and the Patriot could engage LD-10s in the past. S-300 and Patriot not engaging AGM-88C .trk S-300 and Patriot not engaging LD-10 .trk SA-15 not engaging LD-10 .trk

Patriot SAM ignores HARM and misses C-802

Seems like the S-300 also ignores HARM, but at least it is consistently more efficient at taking out the cruise missiles S-300 LD-10.trk S-300 CM-802AKG.trk -
Unfortunately..... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=268473 Some rather simplistic solutions cannot be implemented

Wohoo, to be honest I wasn't there from the start and I was playing with ground units, but at least from the ground unit's perspective the night environment was pretty cool and it was not pitch black, was pretty cool to use NVGs and Thermals, yet you could still see without them
-
Ye, that's the mission :D Do the SA-13s even engage at night ? You can have them spawned, but with a deactivated AI and the triggers activates it, instead of spawning them.... or late activation, but make em visible before activation Whiners are always gonna whine and not be happy, until the game is dead, so I wouldn't bother bout them Pushing trough desert fields was cool, Tiger team-killing the T-72s will remain a favorite moment for me for quite a while
-
In behind enemy lines, except the capture triggers, why not have the IR SAMs be spawned from the beginning, kinda weird when you are holding the objective and all of a sudden they spawn there. Is the B-52 invisible on the map on purpose ?

Georgian Retaliation - Shadow's Dynamic War Campaign
Shadow KT replied to Shadow KT's topic in Tournaments & Events
Staging is still in process, so it is not late for people to join, actually you can join trough out the whole campaign. Specifically looking for people who would like to play on a strategic level, as well as pilots -
I guess it is time to learn the MiG-29 and practice my Mi-8

I decided to test myself with 84Ds and Viggen missiles (as I remember the AI not reacting to them at all) as if any of the behavior should be correct, it should be the towards the ones which can be launched by players. Surprisingly enough, they did engage with missiles, which took me by surprise. Then I only used an OHP, as that is the ship I've tested in the past and as I remembered, the other two types of ships might engage with SM2, but the OHP does not. Neither the 84D nor the RF-15F (not even going to try the C-802AK) More interestingly, don't know what it is about the Viggen missiles, but although the CIWS would engage them, even from far range, it can never shoot one down, seems like they either tank the bullets or they somehow always get missed, even tho they are quite the wide missiles In general, most JF-17 weapons seems to have such values, that make them unreasonably good against ships and SAMs.... They definitely need checking, seems like most of them have a super low RCS and ships and SAMs (like the Patriot) either have a very hard time detecting them if at all and when they do (in the case of the patriot) they seem to need 10-15 missiles per one anti-ship/radiation missile to destroy them, as they just miss I've made a couple of threads here on similar issues, I hope they will get some traction OHP NO SM2 at RB, CIWS NO HIT.trk OHP NO SM2 at 84D.trk

Russian Ship CIWS does not engage
Shadow KT replied to Shadow KT's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Update, Harpoon is being engaged by CIWS now. C-802 is still the same... a lot of these JF-17 weapons seem to be using stealth against most AI -
It could be just my system, but you can see just after the 42nd second https://streamable.com/fvhgbx

Yea, no pressure to the right system, with APU on and L Engine on. But by looking at the pictures you've posted, as well as reading trough the manual, seems like you could still operate both elevators and rudders via the shearable crossover shaft (for the elevators) and unpowered linkages for the rudders. You can notice difference in rudder actuation speed, when one of the systems has no pressure. If I am reading the picture, you've posted correctly... the APU can provide hydraulic power for any of the systems via some sort of multipostion valve (Operated by a switch ?), how is that valve operates as it has shown "L SYS" "OFF" "R SYS" positions labeled ? Or is that something for maintenance only ?

I updated my drivers and removed a shader mod I remembered having. Made a short track, showing (at least on my machine) a visible hang in the game, when the trigger is executed AI Task Push - Embark to Transport Hang.trk

If I remember correctly, it was again when a triggered AI Task Push (Embarking) was being executed. Could you point me to where I can see what mods were giving errors ? As I only have asset mods and I was not using any unofficial assets in the mission. Unless Tacview is a mod too and it is throwing some errors
