  1. I repeated the tests with BMP-3 and M2A2s and did not have a crash. I added even more vehicles fighting.... fps got extremely low, especially in the BMP-3 battle, but no crash. No aircraft at all on the mission. Only other units on the mission are a column of different vehicles , which are far away and just idling. You can find the server track in the zip, but I am also uploading the client one. If I/we can gather a bigger group to interact with the vehicles, we may be able to crash the server even faster. I don't know why it calls out a Vikhr, maybe it is some old code, which has never been edited. I guess it checking the damage model/armor scheme on interaction with the called waepon and it crashes for some reason... just guessing here, ED coders will have to answer that mystery. Sometimes it just feel like the first time you launch DCS after starting your machine, it just needs to get its drama out and crash, before it can run normally.... I believe this is the same old culprit, from a thread I had made couple of months ago.I have narrowed down the issue to the BMP-2 vehicle and created a massive battle with over 100 vs 100 BMP-2s fighting, with me jumping in and out of random vehicles, shooting, giving them command to move, etc. I played the mission in SP earlier and it did not crash, but on the dedicated server it does. It took around 5-6 minutes. Log files from the server uploaded. By reading them, can anyone tell me what exactly is the problem ? Is it the ATGM on the BMP-2 ?   3. If you only have a dedicated DCS server installed, how does one disable the zip compression for tracks ?
  4. OP is not talking about multi-crew. Just an Jester + type AI. What was "translated" from the interview with Chizh was done badly. What Chizh actually said was that there is a slight chance than MC will not be from launch... not that it is delayed. The way he expressed was more in a re-assurance way, just so if something happens, there isn't a recording of him saying that MC will 100% ready for release. Besides, ED has had the technology for MC for ages now. THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS HUEY/MI-8 multicrew, there is no shared cockpit.

Couple of months back, MLRS would either kill or cripple down to 10% T-90s from the back, if it got a direct hit.... which is a BIG IF.... as the accuracy on artillery is abysmal, even when there is no wind or radius input. From the front it barely did any damage to them, so if it could kill a carrier.... makes me wonder if the problems is in the munition or the damage model of the units. There are so many discrepancies in vehicle armor..... Like SAM launchers which can't be blown up by 20MM HE or 7.62 AP.... or HE rockets.
  8. Common sense might not say so, but DCS does not support that train of thought. I can't see a single reason, why you would shut off the only navigational beacons at an airfield, which only has them on one side, when wind is blowing from the other side, but here we are
  9. You sure this is not one of those where... oh wing is blowing from an angle which we don't like... let's stop all the beacons working.
  10. Nice that you are enjoying it, there is a lot of potential in CA and a lot more to be wished from it. Sometimes if feels a bit abandoned, but if you can get past the quirks, it is pretty good fun and allows for another level of strategic gameplay
  11. US ships in-game do not use Tomahawks to engage other ships, only Harpoons.
  12. That's the built in gun. Double barrel 30mm. About not attacking, either the AI thinks he can't kill the HUMVEE with the gun (welcome to DCS AI) or there is some kind of a task your are not giving him or shouldn't be giving him.
  13. What would the double ones mean ? What's useless, if you can get the more of the same effectiveness.... If you know something more than us, the common folk, share it...
  14. Ye, not training... the same thing as the Hornet smaller flares. Brings up the total to 480
  15. Unfortunately, once you use combined arms to command a vehicle, it forgets all its waypoints and tasks. The way around this is using triggers with F10 radio command and AI TASK PUSH, to activate all the advanced function you want the unit to have. Either add all radio commands to a master slot only you have access to, or add them to your player aircraft, so once you activate a radio command, the Tanker is back to normal. You can make em start doing his tanker task again, do a race track orbit, between two points, or even command him to a WP from his original Flight plan, which will make him land.
  16. Is it normal that all the cluster bombs you can find on the Su-27 family (the anti-tank variants) do close to zero damage, on a target such as the Abrams ? It is bad enough that the launch options are not accessible. MLRS rockets, such as from the M270 and Smerch also do close to no damage to an Abrams, where as they have the potential to destroy a T-90. Even the HEAT S-8 rockets and fragmentation S-13/S-25 rockets can destroy it, but not the "ANTI-TANK" cluster bombs.
  17. As we are getting a newer Suite, don't know which year it is supposed to be, but I've heard A-10s having the smaller flares and being able to load up to 480 flares circa 2010/2011ish ? Might have to re-check my source, but is this something which is looked at ?

Oh, wait until you realize that the electrical wires between the poles are also something which the Maverick locks on to..... even thought they are not actually even rendered on the Maverick/TGP screen at maximum to medium ranges. Even better when you have a moving vehicles on the road, next to lamp posts and you have to fiddle with the Hornet's ....interesting controls to lock up a moving vehicle in point mode, only for the TGP to prefer the stationary lamp post next to it every time I had it flagged as reported some long time ago now, but ... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=270716
  19. I believe that option is for players/clients. Groups have their own advanced options under the waypoint panel. You can add those options there

  23. Can the current way that allows to change laser codes in flight, trough the Inventory system for the Paveway II family and soon to be AGR-20A be an easy option check in the Mission Editor ? Make it by default that laser codes can be only adjusted by ground crew and Mission Editor, as some other aircraft can do.
  24. Asked around for the Gazelle and what I got is that there is no AI for the minigun, so you have to manually sit in the position and fire.
  25. For the AIM-54s... I would say leave em as they are. As you said yourself, they get defeated quite easily
