That is so true Flyer, have you done any of the Campaign missions yet i'm worn out after doing one of those my hands hurt my arms ache but the satisfaction of seeing Mission Success is well worth the pain.
-
Could be but doesn't work my end protected by copyright laws.

I will look forward to that Flyer 1 in 20 of my landings these days ends in a ball of fire. I have put a lot of hours in and just love humming around in the Huey its so rewarding to fly.
-
I remember now might not have been Discovery I was watching when I saw the one about the pilots bouncing her on the skids to get airborne. It was summit like the birth of airborne operations or the birth of the helicopter summit like that. I also remember the crew chiefs talking about how the Vietnamese environment would eat up parts mainly the tail blades and main blades as they got destroyed or rather sand blasted during landings, normal swap out was 2000hrs in Vietnam it was just 1000hrs before they were changed.

Nice flyer I will look forward to that and your post above is about how I do it give or take a little speed.

At last someone believes me trying to find that episode at the moment and when I do i'll link it. Those guys were lucky to they got a lot of vibration on the way back to their main base they were so low on fuel that when they landed the Huey just shut itself down and then in the morning they inspected the rotors and the last 2 foot of each blade was shredded the outer skin had been peeled off exposing the honey comb aluminium fins that was some luck or what.
-
How can it be wrong when real pilots who first flew the Huey in Vietnam were on talking about. And I suppose the rotors can't chop through bamboo and elephant grass shame the trees are transparent on here I would like to put that to the test. Yes that's right the 2 pilots on Easter Sunday flying the rev to do his Easter sermon. Only for the pilots to get a help call and using their rotor they punched a hole through the bamboo as thick as their arms they said it was. Rescuing 30 + special forces men mixed with Vietnamese special forces men to, but I suppose that's impossible to or am I wrong. Forgot to add they too were overloaded on their last run and also had to bump the Huey on its skids to get it of the ground with a run up chopping through the bamboo at the same time. Should I be telling Discovery to check their facts lol don't make me laugh, these were and all are highly decorated pilots who for us re-live their most horrifying memories just for tv.

I barely get the shakes anymore but I have put in a lot of hours like the video though nice find. The thing I hate is the weakness of the skids as Huey pilots in nam would over load the Huey and to take off they would lift the collective and drop it forcing the Huey to bounce on the skids to get the air cushion of hover effect under it to create more lift and keep slaming the skids into the ground until they had enough lift to get airborne. If that makes sense was on the Discovery channel a whole hour on the Huey. When I try this the skids just break away after a couple of attempts.

Quality you guys are really putting in the effort well done. One question from the video looking through the screen is that the gun sight out there on the tip of a rod of some sort on the nose, it looks like a gun sight or perhaps a visual aid for lining up for landing. -
EYEFINITY and DCS WORLD. Recommend me a card

Been running the Evga Nvidia 690 gtx since april with a triple mon setup will run at 60fps no probs -
Outlaw you need to stop taking things personal. Just because you found a problem with your's doesn't mean everyone has the same problem some do some don't so leave it at that and revel in the glory that you were able to help some folks. And stop with the derogatory language you're just lowering your own tone and it just looks and comes across as unprofessional. Don't sucked into arguments with others let them be. I have read just about all your posts I understand you and hear your pain just recently though your posts have become inflamed and your tone can appear to be condescending towards others and I am beginning to hate you which I don't want to do. I am a Taurian and I do not wish to lock horns with you so please do not take this personal its just my observations take what others say as a pinch of salt and throw it over your shoulder with laughter safe in the knowledge that you have helped others who had the same problems as you. PS. fancy jumping online to do some missions I am getting sick of the AI helicopters not sticking to the flight plan or maintaining a level flight plan instead of up and down yoo yooing they're up and down in the patrols mission more than a whore draws.

Hi Film what type of springs did you use for the adding of tension to the stick to counter act the weight of the grip. Obviously they are extension springs but whats the free length and the max extension of the spring along with the tension applied if any of that makes any sense to you. Only I have extended my stick but need a little more tension to help it to re-centre itself and keep it in the upright position when not in use, as of right now mine just leans back towards me which does get in the way when I have work to do.

A show case of the "unpredictable and uncontrollable " DCS Huey
jay43 replied to PeterP's topic in DCS: UH-1H
PeterP That was quality faffing around in your Huey there, well that's what I call it been doing that ever since it launched and its the best way to master it throw the manual away and just fly it like the boys that first flew the Huey as it rolled off the production line. Those chaps made it up as they went along. Power sliding too lol I have been trying to get enough momentum in free flight instant action to park her right in between the 2 Hueys at the other end of the airfield almost there. -
Yeah I messed with curves and it just felt worse. I've started to use force trim more and more, I usually set it on the ground for forward flight and then just take off, I also noticed when using force trim I forgot to reset it during a landing and it seemed to make the landings even smoother.
-
That doesn't make any sense to me so if I am descending at 300ft/min whats happening am I entering VRS or am I avoiding VRS theres no middle road. From your figures it appears the whole VRS is a total toss of a coin gamble here we go we might get in VRS we might not.
-
Surely you have had to make some adjustments to compensate for the extra throw of the stick now I know I have had to but then I did extend my stick by 700mm give or take a few mm. Although I am not using any curves just had to add saturation to reduce the throw otherwise I was having to get up out of my seat to reach all the way forward with the stick that was funny.
-
If you're doing the Huey seat what ever you do don't add the quick release lever just incase wives find out about it.

Ditto happened to me to summit like that it was just weird, I cured it by just pushing all sorts of combinations of keys on keyboard huffing and puffing profusely with anger until wow I fixed it. But as I was randomly pressing keys I unfortunately don't know which ones they were.

Preceded by this now http://www.duracell.com/en-US/product/instant-usb-charger.jspx which lasts for days before needing a re-charge and already confirmed as working by some here.
-
Good call dude that's exactly what it was, as I never built it I just did not know where to start. I must've knocked them when I upgraded the SSD and the GPU even though that was 3 months ago now they were only just on there barley making contact rep inbound.
-
That's strange worked for me the other day landed on the smoke and he was loaded and off I went. I did have problems with the UN missions at first launch but they got fixed weeks ago in a patch I ran repair dcs which seemed to do the trick you could try that.

Only happened yesterday the on off button on my tower won't switch the pc on or off for this model http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.coolermaster.co.uk/upload/product/6650/gallery/full/top1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.coolermaster.co.uk/product.php?product_id%3D6650&h=443&w=590&sz=116&tbnid=PPWJsWluUt6P9M:&tbnh=90&tbnw=120&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dnvidia%2Bcooler%2Bmaster%2Bcase%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=nvidia+cooler+master+case&usg=__7vL7J-cIdjfDodCbU90yTpR_Y4U=&docid=EfLv9XaYQjrLpM&sa=X&ei=xIPZUd-aJaSw0QWR04DIDQ&ved=0CFYQ9QEwAw&dur=2527 Any ideas anyone the reset button works as does the fan illumination button, I can still switch on from the MB that works its just painfull having to open the case everytime. I'm hoping its just a simple change of button, any pointers from PC guru's would be most helpful before I start stripping it down are there any tests I should perform first to make sure it is just the button and not something more serious. No problems with the pc its still working as it was I am using it right now which leads me to just the button.

I could've been wrong here as I forgot to close the curtains damn that sun in the real world messing up my view in the virtual world.

Lol yes I nearly did it as I was testing voltage and was then about to cut when I realised I had plugged it back in again oops.
