  1. Nope doesn't work that way I have tried in vain and you just have to sit through it all again.
  2. I would've thought they exist as the X52pro throttle has 2 rotary's which have a centre detent unless its built into the throttle body not sure. Instead of pots have you tried looking for rotary's with a centre detent not sure if they would work with what you are trying so sorry if its not.
  3. Don't quote me on the FedEx part but I did see a FedEx banner on their site so just assuming that is who they would be using. But charging up front for the Customs and Excise duty is not allowed, the product has to enter the bonded warehouse first and is then checked by customs as to whether or not Customs and Excise duty applies. I just checked my invoice from Leap and they have indicated a pre-charge for they call it tax but again its not its Customs and Excise duty so I will be cancelling that and advising them that this is not allowed hence my cancellation. FedEx are playing a dangerous game with Her Majesty's Customs officers almost as dangerous as Starbucks and they got caught and had to pay up.
  4. True but here in the UK I have never paid FedEx any customs charges the reason is they are trying to avoid paying it themselves as confirmed by my accountant as their invoice reads Payment for administration and handling not Customs and Revenue collection which my accountant challenged them on at which point they waved the charges on 3 occasions strange that.
  5. Needs toning down some what I think if you read instruments and have a good situational awareness the shakes and vibrations are just not needed or to violent sometimes and very off putting. ETL vibration can be over come but during landing its like an earth quake in the cockpit and takes some serious concentration and constant controls correction to deal with it which real pilots have to do but without the time warp aggressive vibrations.
  6. In Take On Helicopters you can configure your Track ir for leaning out of the window when its open.
  7. A desert is a desert you don't have to think of as its Nevada it could be anywhere if we use our imagination. I to am a bit peeved at this why Nevada its only a testing area for new types of aircraft. The film Independence day springs to mind F18's being chassed by alien space craft lol.
  8. While its still under warranty return it for replacement its just to expensive to open up your self and start fiddling around inside. Must be a bridged contact or bad ground I would think or a wire has just fallen off somewhere. I feel your pain though my pinkie switch on my left throttle suddenly became all stiff and would not work, and then my wife confesed that she DROPPED it WHAT how well you never told me it was heavy I was just dusting your pit as you call it for you and it picked it up without realising how heavy it was and lost my grip. Grrrrr I told you to never touch anything around my pit area I will deal with it. Took it apart and inside the switch there are these ever so tiny pins with a small ball of ceramic on them which sit on top of a metal rocker so the current doesn't travel through the ceramic and up the pin to the surface of the switch, the pin had bent so I straightened it out popped it all back together and its worked ever since. If it was the right throttle I would've bothered to much going on there with switches and hats to scary for me.
  9. Ya shouldn't have said that grrr "spits dummy out throws toys from pram starts stamping feet and crying" ok temper tantrum over suppose I will just have to wait then:cry:
  10. Is this available yet I just placed an order and have already received an email saying my order is being processed and my Leap motion controller will be on its way soon. Hope so I hate waiting for stuff to arrive makes me board.
  11. Awsome group seen them twice now and on one of those times they were backing Oasis and the Verve just stole the show.
  12. The problem here is not enough collective at the right point. This is how I approach a landing more than happy to jump into a server with you and try to help you. But please don't give up I know its frustrating at the moment for you but give yourself time and plenty of it and eventually it will like me and others just click and you'll be left wondering what all the fuss was about. Ok so landing approaching at say 80knts get her straight and stable don't bother trying to land on a specific spot just yet make sure you have room plenty of open space with out any buildings etc etc. So 80knts level flight start dropping collective try to maintain a decent rate of between 500fpm to 1000fpm. Nose down to much and your speed will increase nose up to much and you will bleed speed rapidly. As you lower the collective pull that nose up or you will speed up but try not to level off just yet, keep an eye on your speed, adi, alt, and decent rate. Think pulling the stick back is like the brakes it will make you climb but you will eventually slow down and start to descend. Approaching 40knts at 500fpm this is around the danger zone and you don't start pulling the collective now you might as well pull out and go around. This is where she bleeds speed very quickly and you are on the edge of the VRS envelope. So at 40knts keep nose up slightly above centre line on the ADI as the speed drops pull on collective its almost keep pulling on it at the same rate as the speed goes down and now try to maintain a 400ftpm descent. When pulling back on the stick to raise the nose there are times when she wants to climb let her don't fight her as it will only be momentary. And also left peddle as you approach ground effect hover or she'll just pull to the right like on take off. I think that just about covers it shouldn't bother to much with curves as its still in beta at the moment so when we get an update or final release you'll only have to change it again. PM if you want me to jump in with you and help out make sure you have team speak though.
  13. Skate where did you get the Tomcat its my most favourite plane I want it lol.
  14. I like this I hope you get it working as this is what I was thinking of doing.
  15. Its the cyclic that's causing this whatever you do don't move it on the ground to erratically or aggressively as it seems to eject the rotor off the Huey. Happened to me twice now upon landing and on the ground in a stationary position I have moved the cyclic in a clockwise and counter clockwise circle each time be it small circle but a little fast and pop of it went.
  16. Yeah that bit was good but I want to fly the tank out of the back of the C130 then ask for directions to Berlin that was quality lol.
  17. Thanks Elwin that helps me understand now you're never to old to learn even if you just learn 1 new thing a day lol.
  18. Sorry but I have a question be a dumb one and I am sure everyone will have a laugh at my expense go for it LOL what does QFE mean or what is it short for its bugging me and I want to know sorry again for the dumb question.
  19. LOL yep that's what I said to the misses I want it darling look we can fly together I just got frowned upon and a clip round the ear.
  20. Interesting.
  21. As the tittle suggests, I wonder if these companies would make or sell us if there was enough of us their grips even just an empty shell for us to put buttons in. I would bet one of these made the original grip for TM here's the links. http://aerotronicsllc.com/index.html http://www.bugeyetech.com/# http://essexindustries.com/aero-defense/products?cat=27 I know the grips they all sell are meant for military simulators but with a bit of jiggery pokery we could get something that works by means of a simple swap one for the other its just buttons and pcb inside or am I just being stupid no comment it was rhetorical
  22. I think if enough of get together on this we could contact some of these I have found and find out how much they would do a bulk order for or if they could make something compatible with the TMWH base's check out the links. http://aerotronicsllc.com/index.html http://www.bugeyetech.com/# http://essexindustries.com/aero-defense/products?cat=27 Although I think they are for military sims could be worth a ask even if they can just do an empty shell for us to put the buttons and switches in and as they all make metal ones I am guessing one of these companies made a job lot for TM.
  23. I haven't completed all of them yet got as far as Patrols and that damn leader just doesn't maintain a stable flight pattern, he says speed 100 but then he is up then down then almost coming to a stop in mid air he almost caused a crash with the other AI Huey's and I always lose site of him grrrr. As you are a pilot is this normal behaviour.
  24. Quality nothing like swooping into the neighbourhood and steeling someone's pool water lol.
  25. No electronic flight aids in the Huey back to brass tacks i'm afraid fella pure pilot skill and finesse welcome to Club Huey.
