Thrustmaster Warthog: Think I Found a Good Price
jay43 replied to Juris's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yep seen that but be warned I ordered the MFCD's from them and they took 3 weeks to get to me, I have a store 5 minutes walk from my front door. Should have taken 3 working days but the first order went missing along with the second but the third arrived thieving bloody postie. -
I find using that is very twitchy and gives me a headache.
-
That's a cool one looks easy to make but curious what gross size area does this require to fit it in.
-
No need for that trimmer if ya take the big spring from the Warthog stick, done mine and now I can put the stick forward and leave it there. The thing I hate about the Shark is no tail rotor.

Nvidia releases new 700 series video cards

Its a good card no need for 2 anymore for multi mon setups this one runs 3 without even breaking a sweet. Although I had to sell a kidney to buy it  -
Shush its a secret passed from generation to generation, when ya come from a long line of flooring installers you tend to pick up these little tips along your career, works best on a 100% wool carpet. It goes back to the old days before mechanical stretchers were invented as the installers would install the carpet then water it with a watering can to shrink it to pull out the wrinkles I suppose they noticed it took out point loading imprints.
-
can it be made longer than the advertised maximum.

Depends on your floor really is it wood ceramic carpet vinyl would help to know. If its a smooth floor get some Velcro tape the sticky one that works for me and won't destroy the floor even if its wood as the residue can be cleaned of with a little acetone. If its carpet its possible to screw it down without causing any damage to carpet except for point loading marks which will go away by simply leaving an ice cub to melt onto the affected area and left to dry naturally it will cause the fibres to float back up. Place it on the carpet and using as pointed tool gently put some pressure marks through the holes, when you move it out of the way you should see the marks, now using the tip of pointed tool open up the fibres of the carpet to separate them this is what we in the trade call row dividing as carpet is woven in rows, you should see the backing now and this is where you want to get the screws to go through as there will be no damage to the backing.

I'll stick with my 690 which according to their charts out performs the 700's -
correct me if I am wrong but weren't there A10's in the last Terminator film too.

I had that problem you need to make sure your profile for the hotkey is loaded and not the default loaded plus I think I had to activate apps in the options before mine would work as I have a console headset not a pc one but it still works. Also remember which ever button you use as a hotkey will only work for TS when running it seems to disable the key for use unless its for TS PTT.

Thinking of buying this but is it really hard to learn?
jay43 replied to Dudester22's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
you need to dedicate a lot of time and patience to this sim its not just jump in and fly there are many procedures to follow correctly or things won't work. Plenty of folks on here to help the community is one of the most helpful I have ever come across hats off to everyone. -

still learning and everyday you learn something new best game I have had in years as its just not that easy although it does come in sim mode and game mode within the game itself but I have never tried game mode so I don't know what that's like. -

As the tittle says this is my first mission. I have been trying to make this mission, which is ok for just buzzing about but I want to make it more immersive. Quick run down of mission. Tensions are escalating and the Navy have arrived and moored up just off the coast of Batumi 1 x ACC and 4 x Cruisers all with heli landing decks. All ship commanders have a deployment meeting at a designated time and can not be late it will not be tolerated by the Joint Chiefs. The mission which I have attached needs tweaking to make this work only I am at a loss as to what to do. If someone could be so kind as to edit this for me to make it work I would be eternally grateful. Needs to be against the clock and the Commanders are very impatient along with the Joint Chiefs little bit of voice dialogue would be good to add a little pressure to the manoeuvring and Radio communication to. Also I was kinda thinking it could have a part 2 by means of once you have powered down that would kick in part 2 if that's even possible. Part 2 being return the Commanders to their vessels then RTB for mission end. ACC could do with some planes or choppers on deck just to make the deck landing more challenging. I think I have uploaded the files right I attached a track of roughly what I am trying to do. jays 1st mission.miz jays 1st mission.rar

Check your pitch and roll + or - 5 pitch roll or yaw will stop auto pilot from engaging and will force it to disengage.
