  1. Ah, SUN visor! I thought that OP was meaning a HMD visor system...
  2. Visor? What visor? Never seen a visor on the M2000C... Inviato dal mio iPad utilizzando Tapatalk Pro
  3. I hope they will finish what is left to be done for the 339 (and possibly fix as much bug as possible) BEFORE switch to another project. Maybe the 339 is "not worth" as you say, but the people who bought it (paying money) still deserve to get a complete module.
  4. That's not the same thing.
  5. True, but the main reason is to be able to maximize the possibility of hitting the target: the less distance the missile has to cover, the more energy remains in case the target maneuvers to avoid it. The same thing is done today also with the AMRAAMs, although at far greater distances (AIM-7 has a nominal range of 40Km). Main weapon against bombers, not fighters: you don't need supermaneuverability to stay behind a TU-95, and I don't think high speed slashing attacks works against manourvering Migs, unless you take them completely by surprise.
  6. Well, the absence of the cannon is indeed disappointing, but since the dogfight maneuverability of the Spillone ("long needle", the Italian nickname of the F-104) is not exactly the best, I do prefer to have some BVR capability. In the AMI (Italian Air Force), the F-104S / ASA-M have been used in the interceptor role till 2003/4 following the "Get in range, Shoot and Run" doctrine, merge and VVR fight were never to be taken in consideration
  7. I hope for S/ASA-M: having MRM like Sparrow and/or Aspide might be a really good thing.
  8. I was about to open the same thread. +1
  9. No, but maybe thing may speed up a bit. Hopefully.
  10. Sensor Selector Switch perhaps (SSS) ?
  11. Well, the true problem with the AV8 is that there is no "F****n Manual" to read at the moment We have to wait for Baltic Dragon/Razbam to finish the full module manual, and I think they won't do that untill the F-15E manual is ready. Back to your problem, Its a long time since I'we flown the Harrier too but AFAIK nothing has changed in the release procedure so I guess you can refresh it using the Chuck's Guide (God bless that guy), which describe it in Part 10, paragraph 2.7 (w and w/o the TGP). Yes, that's another RTFM! (in some sense), but Chuck's is more user-friendly than the standard manual and has been updated just few months agoo (2023 Feb), so I guess the procedure described there is up to date. Last, if you have the NTTR map, the attacched .miz is a small training mission I did to practice with AGM-65F some time ago. That's is all I can do for you pal, I hope it can help. 12. 2 weeks? Seriously, AFAIK the release date is decided by ED.
  13. I might be worng but IMHO can't be AGL, unless the weapon has a altitude measurement device on board (like a radar). Likely the fuze uses pressure to compute the altitide thus should be MSL
  14. Just started reading it: again an awesome work Chuck! Now, I'm eagerly waiting the Mb-339 guide... Yes, I know all the DCS people is waiting for the F-15E one, but I'm sure the Macchino's one will take mch less time to be competed
  15. Parking brakes on maybe?
  16. Yes I did: I know that in most of the cases triggers fire when reaching an area around the wayoint so I try to follow the flightplan as strictly as possible... Maybe the trigger zone is too small?
  17. I've double checked and I can confirm what @gulredrel said: the ARGPS follows the flight plan correctyl untill we reach the second-last waypoint, then it drops the route. The second last waypoint is present in the ARGPS system, and can be manually activated, while the very last waypoint seems missing.
  18. Apart of the MAD and the two nice user mande campaings from @JonathanRL there is no other content for the Jeff... Is there any new campaign incoming (both paid / user-mande)?
  19. Bad news: GPS navigation works BUT it seems it have problems with the last waypoint of the route. @6S.Duke To reproduce this simply create any route in the mission editor and fly it: when you pass the 2nd last waypoin the GPS will not switch automatically to the last one (you won't find it in the list). I've attached a track (and the relative mission) where the problem can be seen: I've lost the GPS over the WP09 (goose green)... Maybe (not sure of this) the problem might be related to the fact that WP10 is set as a "Landing Point" Also: I've also noticed that when you pass one waypoint, the ADI pointer correctly switch to the next one but the GPS page still display data of the previous one (you need to press CLR to make it correctly switch). 20. BEWARE: Some spoilers here. I spent some time carefully studying the briefing and I also passed some couple of hours training with AGM-65F just to "remove the rust" and be ready for the mission (jeez, I'm taking this way too serioulsy I guess ). And when I finally get into the cockpit of my Bug I found that it was loaded with 4 mk-83 (which I was not able to use since the fire control computer seems to refuse to compute a good CCIP solution) and a bunch on rockets... Finally, I was supposed to take out some AAA units... which however never appeared on the dam wall where they were supposed to be! Do I missed something perhaps?
