  1. Try limit money. Also: disable auto buy and do it by yourself in turn 0
  2. Personally I have full faith in Orbix and I am sure that the new map will be of excellent quality. But the sudden release announcement, (almost without any teasers or videos) and the fact that the two Arctic Thuner campaings are not ready yet makes me think... Mabe (just maybe), it was been decided to release earlier than actually planned.

  4. IMHO The price isn't bad, however I already own the FF versions of F-5E/F-86 and moreover I'm not interested in buying any more FC level module.

Infatti...
  7. Ok, thank you!
  8. Hi @Reflected, how is it going with Arctic Thunder? Anu chance to see it released along with the Kola map on friday?
  9. U r welcome mate! Have (a lot of) fun
  10. Personally speaking, I've (re)started playing DCS from FC planes (F-15C, A-10A, Su-27, Su-33 and Mig-29) an then moved to my 1st FF module (my beloved Bug). Since then I have no longer used the FC3 modules (except for a few missions with the F-15C), they are undoubtedly fun but what I'm looking for in this game is the complexity of the FF modules and the need to study and practice to master them. I don't think I will ever buy other FC3 modules, certainly not these new ones arriving (I already have F-86 and F-5E FF), but I admit it's still a good thing for newbies and those too lazy to learn a FF module: they can be a good starter before moving on to the FF modules.
  11. Actually point 2 is a problem of of the DCS Game engine, not a flaw in Liberation or Retribuition: with too many units on the map the game slows down so much that is almost unplayable cause the simulation/IA thread is soaking the whole CPU and starving the graphic thread and GPU (I seen the same recently). However this can be easily fixed (or at least yu can reduce the effect) by decreasing the amount of money available to buy units in turn 0, thus reducing their number on the field. You can also disable settings like smoke, artillery strike, moving uints, infantry and/or apply culling to completly remove units and planes too far from your flight. About point 1, it does not seems so serious to me, but I'm a lone wolf payer and maybe when playing Co-Ops might have a different impact.
  12. Sorry mate, but if need such kind of mechanics to keep your intertest up in this game then why you don't simply go playing games where they are already implemented? War Thunder, World of Warplanes, Ace Combat... the choice is your.
  13. Retribuition is a fork of the Libreration code (from Liberation v6.0.0) so they are basically quite similar. Retribuition however keeps the back compatibility of save games, while Liberation does not (i.e: saved games from Liberation client version X are not compabile with Liberation version X+1, instead, with Retribuition, version X+1 allows load ad play saved games from version X).
  14. Liberation has its own problems, but IMHO is far from being defined "broken".
  15. Liberation means a virtually infinite fun. And you can fly more than one plane module in the same campaign!
  16. Both are tools to manage a dynamic campaign in DCS: I think you and your friend should give them a try. In the mission editor there is an option to restrict weapons (and maybe planes modules) at a certain age. I'm not an MP expert (I use to play SP) but I think that apply to mission created for MP/COOP. Just out of curiosity, have you tried the JF-17?
  17. Mate, the FC3 Mig-29 is actually the "improved" version of the LOMAC one. DCS World, and its philosophy, hadn't even been imagined 21 years ago. Same apply to all other FC3 modules.
  18. https://github.com/dcs-liberation/dcs_liberation https://github.com/dcs-retribution/dcs-retribution There's no need to thank me, mate.
  19. It not about "rejecting everything", its about "rejecting things that would distort the spirit of the game". As per ED statemet, DCS is about realism, which means every module (FC included) are developend using real plane official documentation and specs: I don't think that creating a FC level module of (say) the F-22 using wikipedia data fits this definition. Personally I would prefer the same business model used with A-10C-II and BS, with new versions of an old module (revised, corrected and improved) published some years after the release of the previous one.
  20. The day ED will introduce an EXP system to unlock module features in DCS World I will close my account and move to another game (and bet I won't be the only one there to do so).
  21. Thank you! I'm keeping my finger crossed
  22. @BIGNEWY any news about the two campaigns which are supposed to come with Kola Map (one from @baltic_dragon and one from @Reflected) ? Can we expect to see them released at map launch as planned or not?
  23. It would have been very nice to know before... thank you!
  24. Novita' sulla questione Razbam vs ED ce ne sono oppure tutto silenzio?
