Then why not create the FA version and sell it as "Light Attack derived from Trainer" (or maybe don't even mention the Trainer at all)? If you manage to find enough doc to make a good implementation of the M-346 FA no one should care about the fact that is trainer-derived variant. And yes you are right: the Macchino is actualy a trainer/light attack plane with some worth mentioing operative history (ask Owen Crippa for that), but it's much more known (and loved) for its 40 years long Trainer role. M-364 on the other hand is a brand new plane: AFAIK AMI has evaluated it / is evaluating it to replace the now retired AMX Ghibli feet for CAS role.

Edit: ho fatto l'errore di andare a leggermi le recensioni su steam: la maggior parte e' palesemente scritta da utenti che hanno installato il gioco attirati dal fatto che e' gratis ed ha una bella grafica: lo hanno provato, non sono ovviamente riusciti a capirci una mazza e ci hanno dato su dopo 10-15 minuti lamentandosi. Senza parlare di quelli che si lamentano che il gioco non e' in italiano.

Questo purtoppo e' un problema di molti "giovini" (per fortuna non tutti), talmente abituati ad avere "tutto e subito" che l'idea di doversi studiare un manuale di centinaia di pagine per quello che alla fine e' un "gioco" davvero non va a genio. Quelli pero' vanno bene per Warthunder, WoW o Ace Combat, non certo per DCS: dubito che sarebbero disposit a leggersi le 80 pagine del manuale dell'F-15C. Appunto

Non lo metto in dubbio, del resto i trainers che ho usato per imparare ad usare F/A-18 e F-16 sono stati appunto il Bug e il Viper. Ma io ho iniziato a giocare ai simulatori di volo quando i PC di moda erano i C64 e oramai so dove mettere le mani, (come si suole dire), e immagino per te valga piu' o meno la stessa cosa. Ma non e' a me o a te che pensavo (anche se, come gia' detto sopra dovesse arrivare il 346 su DCS io lo prendo): su i vari forum (qui, reddit e steam) troverai migliaia di post di utenti che sono senza esperienza, oppure vengono da altri gioch con gli aerei (WoW, AC, WT) e che vorrebbero provare un simulatore di volo vero o magari che hanno gia' esperienza con i moduli FC e vorrebbero provare un modulo FullFi ma sono spaventati dalla complessita'. Chiedono tutti quale e' il modulo piu' facile per partire, molto spesso specificando che in futuro vorrebbero poi passare al Viper, piuttosto che al Bug o al MudHen. A mio modesto e opinabilssimo parere il 346, fosse disponibile, sarebbe la risposta perfetta proprio perche' una avionica e un armamento molto simile (se non identico) a quello dei jet moderni sopracitati e al contempo rimanendo un modulo piu' facile da imparare. Suggerire di partire subito con il loro modulo di destinazione e' una opzione piu' che valida ma, sempre a mio modesto e opinabilissimo parere, potrebbe non funzionare per tutti, specie coloro che hanno poca o nessuna esperienza pregressa.

Peccato, sarebbe stato il trainer perfetto per i moduli con avionica moderna (F-16, F/A-18, JF-17, A-10 e in prospettiva anche EF-2000), oltre che un ottimo light attack.

No, I didn't. That topic you linked seems intersting... However, AFAIR the TrackUR client didn't ask for any game list update...

Yesterday I have updated my TrackIR 5 drivers to v5.5.1 and then DCS World was no more able to detect the device. It works fine with its own control software but the game does not recognize it ("rescan input devices" does not solve). Rolling back to v5.5.0 actually to fixes the problem and TrackIR 5 device is detected again by DCS 2.9.7.59263. Anyone else seen the same problem?

And wouldn't it have been more honest of you to tell us this some days before the update was released? Maybe you would have avoided a good part of this "indignation" (I have another term to define the mood of the users rith now, but I can't use it). But there's more (and worse), here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/223750/discussions/0/4520010784053127994/?tscn=1723245746 This guy had just finished working on an AH-64 mission in that very part of your map. With the latest update all his work went to "wasted". Can you imagine how "indignant" he is now?

Well, if this mess (I hope using the term "mess" does not hurt too much someone's candid soul) is not a bug, being out of office for the week-end is not an excuse for their silence.
