  2. Well in the end SensoryX got back at me with a proposed solution. I guess they are struggling to catch up with market and everything, plus the whole pandemic issue must have had an impact on their operation anyway. But yeah, seems like things are slowly moving. We'll see how this plays out. Even if slow, props to them for catching up with issues that could have been forgotten and forgone.
  3. IDK dude, I'm pretty sure it worked before with the two mods enabled. Maybe kegety's wasnt properly copied over by ovgme and it *thought* it was on while it wasn't. Any-hway, I'm in your same boat, don't really see much improvement in using the VR shaders AND I like being able to mess around with colors and sharpening better than having (litterally) a couple more fps. Speaking of which, sharpening, I don't seem to be able to discern any difference, is there anything I should be looking for while changing the values to *know* it's working?
  4. I run VR so I want at least 80fps (Rift S). And no my monitor is quite an old 28" 4K (which I use a t 1440p), with just 60Hz.
  5. Thanks for checking it. I'll try and run a full repair. completely deactivate all mods and give it a shot again... EDIT: seems like the VR Shaders mod (which I suspected in the first place but I do remember them working ok) that I downloaded here are the culprit. If I remove them, even without deleting/recompiling the shaders, everything seems to work ok

  8. just imagine they get published, look a lot better, add a ton of physics affecting flight, radar, performance etc AND they tax the system less.
  9. To further expand, no VSYNC and low/high produced 129/122 fps. No discernible difference tbh...
  10. Doesn't seem to do much for me... here's a preliminary test recorded with MSI afterburner, the .trk I used (free flight over nevada). Everything is in the attachment. Results are kind of good meaning I don't loose a lot going from low to high settings. I don't really see that much of a difference from Vsync off, though, which I used to run before. The whole data is in the attached file, including the .trk I might test the same against Vsync completely off... with my usual settings Average FPS = 128 No. Samples = 644 ----------------------------------- With "High" settings Average FPS = 121 No. Samples = 644 system is 9700k@5GHz, 64GB RAM@3200MHz, 2080Ti FE DCS test.zip
  11. I'll post in here so I can retrieve this tonight and run a trial. And report back.
  12. Here we are again, Updated to latest beta, seems not to be working anymore. The log shows the software reacting to keypresses (SHIFT+F7, SHIFT+F1 etc...) but I see nothing on the screen. I have deactivated cockpit global illum AND SSAO. The menu shows with the night vision goggles up, but not in normal mode. The only thing I am using (I was using them before anyway) are the 2.5.6 VR Shaders from here ( ) which were working nicely with your mod, before... I had this happening once, before, then it worked for seemingly no reason. Should I rebuild shaders or any of those magic tricks? Log attached.   13. I actually had this happening to me in the F18... two bombs released bumped into eachother and exploded midair. It's a shame I didn't save the track.

I for me have noticed that trees seem to be resistant to rockets, missiles... as in, if I shoot a vehicle behind a tree more often than not APKWS have no effect because they'd blow up on the tree, guns do the trick though. This might warrant some more investigation but, has anybody noticed the effect?
  15. Ok, thanks for the illustration. Hopefully they implement all those effect aside from upgraded cloud billboards.
  16. The question is: how does this improve gameplay/flight dynamics? I get that with MSFS2020 everybody wants muh grapheecs, but I like this sim for the challenge, if I want eye candy I go play Ace Combat...

    Just wanted to say I'm pretty happy with where the sim is now. Yes there are quirks and issues, and some of the functionalities I enjoy most are mods/apps from community members (Helios, VRK, DiCE, 3Dmigoto, Moltar's soundpack to name a few, and a few minor interface mods I have done over the years) but still, the sim is awesome, and I am getting hours upon hours of fun playing with it, which is something in itself, already, given how quickly bored I tend to become whatever I do. So I just wanted to give ED a pat on the back for pushing through stuff, putting up with users (like myself) moaning about that aircraft not having the correct number of rivets on the underside of the left flap etc. and still produce, effectively, the only modern combat flight sim that can be called that. Just: thanks.
  20. --mhhh, so I take you did update and it's working?-- well color me surprised, I tried reinstalling it and it works. Go figure...
  21. Well I have done all instructed, repaired, cleaned, no mods, the whole nine yards. Bottom line is: it works for a couple of calls after a reset, then stops. That's the only one that acts like that. Initially I thought it was tied to the the import of the new keywords in the database: nope, it stops working even if I DON'T import the keywords. Then I thought it might have been due to the "auto browse" function, so I turned it off: nope, issue is still there. The feature works for a couple of minutes after I restart voiceattack, then stops working, if I restart VA it'll work, for a couple of minutes, the die again. Also, the KNEE dim control in the EX pane does nothing anymore? IDK what else I would be supposed to do. To me, that particular function, (which would be very useful with the amount of data carriers dump on you) is broken.
