  2. Control bindings might be different if your devices get recognized differently by the new machine. I'm pretty sure PIV/VID for USB devices will not change but you can never be too sure. Just make a note of all their info (joystick gremlin can be very helpful for this) before switching.
  3. I feel kind of dumb for asking this as I'm sure I am missing something big but I was searching for the Sa342 Gazelle's manual as I am away from my main PC and wanted to brush up on it... Yet I can't find the manual among the Download-Documents section (this might be normal for third party crafts as it seems to me the Jeff isn't there too...), and it seems to the there's not even a forum, but it still appears in the modules that can be purchased in the store. As improbable as it seems to me, looks like I have been locked out of anything Gazelle OR the afore mentioned resources (manual, forum) have disappeared from ED's website?
  4. naw sorry I didn't mean 32GB will limit your options with weather/clouds... In general 32GB can be not enough for busy scenarios.

  6. I just want to make it uber clear: my 30mm is not laser-accurate. Like, with the cannon WASd from pilot sight it will spray stuff and be less accurate the more I wobble the aircraft. Also it might happen that it'll shoot long or short (more or less than 2-5m), depending on a series of factors (stability of the aircraft, accuracy of ranging (is it "A", 800, 1500, and how accurate is that?) and the natural spread of the cannon. Still, eh it kills stuff fo' sh. BLUF: I sense an expectation of laser accuracy out of that, which, notwithstanding the issues with IHADSS bore sighting (esp. the CPG's which is a PITA), is never going to be the case.
  7. It works for me in VR, I have the HDU set to render on the right eye only my circles do not have that parallax effect. I understand it has been taken away by ED until they find a reasonable way to simulate it, is that correct?

  9. I just tested this on hoggit, it passes IC. I took the liberty to make a package to use with mod managers and credited you, I hope that's fine. Should be reviewed and published in the next few hrs.
  10. eh IDK. fuel doesn't always explode when hit. Especially if it is diesel and/or in self sealing tanks. But yeah, getting ripped by 20 rds of 7.62 should very well disable a soft skin vehicle.

  13. I have a centering joystick and use return to center trim. When I go from CPG to PLT, I center the joystick and trim it BEFORE touching it, this way when I start to move it moves correctly from my physical center but from the logical point of where George was holding it. It works every time.
  14. Honestly I'm running a Q2 via Airlink, with then OpenXR through OpenComposite, now native OpenXR and quality is better than with the USB cable. Mind you I *BOUGHT* a Wifi6 router just for that and it sits 3 feet away from the headset.
  15. Oh you are going to regret this... JK stoked. This. I ended up disabling DLSS in the civ sim because I could not read my beloved Bell206 steam gauges. I'm doing this in DCS (minus the DLSS) and getting seemingly good results, so good the civ thing is on the back burner since I started toying with the Apache about 20 days ago.
  16. I'd say yes. I'm on Oculus and ASW with OpenXR seems to be ok.
  17. Just calling DCS.exe --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR seems to work for me... ...nut yeah it would be nice to have it in the changelog...
  18. try openXR, I'm running it with airlink at 150-200 Mbps on Q2 and it is smooth.
  19. Just do a shortcut like Start DCS.exe --force_enable_VR --force_steam_VR that should fix it. Hi, just to confirm, so there is no longer a need to swap the DLLs out? The app is using OpenXR natively out of the box with no modification? If so, that also means Reshade will no longer work, not an issue for me personally. Reshade works with an old, unofficial version 4.9.1 Link here
  20. Look, sorry this does not directly solve your issue, but I think it's worth mentioning: I've been using OpenKneeboard and I have been a happy camper. I had been using VRK in the past, but OK is far easier and works a lot better IMHO. try it?
  21. No, I am running OpenXR Toolkit and had no problems. Wait, what's this? NVM I read up on it. Turns out it is something I used to use... maybe it's worth giving it another shot.
