  1. Would it be possible to clean out dead infantry? both wipe and declutter seem to not do much?
  2. Sorry to necro it, but did you get this to work?
  3. I did a cursory search here and on google but could not find anything related to this. I have liveries that show different pilot garments (e.g. all green, blue, camo other than multicam etc) but some of them, when in first person, keep showing multicam on the pilot's body (i.e. not showing the olive drab overalls). They work fine in external (F2-3-4...) view. Any idea why this is happening?
  4. Admittedly I haven't really tested this in depth, but I am playing Persian Freedom and mission 10 is a hotstart. I noticed since the last patch my CMSC was displaying all OFF. The fix is to turn off every CMSP switch (MWR, JMR, RWR and DISP) and then on again. Not bug breaking and only slightly annoying but I don't think it's supposed to be that way?
  5. It has been working for the last few days so, yes. I guess that was the solution and I just marked it so. Thanks for the heads up, man!
  6. OK so I had a bit of a go yesterday and it seems to be working. I'll do some more testing before calling it a solution, but it appears deleting the OpenKneeboard.json reference (not the file, the reference) from the Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenXR\1\ApiLayers\Implicit registry location seems to have fixed the issue. More testing and then solution will be marked as solution. I have OpenKneeboard installed since a couple of years, so it might be an old, improperly uninstalled version of OK... Just wanted @actually_fred to be aware of this too.
  7. This *might* be it. I'll try and report back.
  8. Caucasus. The only one where it makes sense. PG (in Iran) and Syria a second close/third. Realistic, yes. Boring, no. Make it interesting, no 45 minutes of eventless flying ferrying equipment from point A to point B. I can do that all the time in online server resupplying FOBs and the like. Make it so while doing that, 5 minutes in you get rerouted to pick up a fubar'd LRRP team being chased by angry villagers with small arms and you have to fly in, pick em up and fly back home overweight (and in bad weather). show of force with helos Convoy support operations / escort (Minor) equipment failures that will annoy the pilot without not royally fu the airframe but force the player to think out of the box to solve the situation. (think the damper system failing, for example, or the electrics for the doppler so you have to dead reckon the whole route IDK. ) Radio chatter with choices Meaningful interaction with ground units. Not the type "do this or the mission fails" but "do this and the results are so much better" (like reward the player with "fireworks", grunts calling in happy and thankful IDK, this is game design stuff) that type of stuff.
  9. Hi, I have had this issue quite consistenlty now. The game dies after 10-15 minutes. The only thing I could see in the log is this 2023-10-29 14:00:17.927 INFO EDCORE (29380): # -------------- 20231029-140018 -------------- 2023-10-29 14:00:17.928 INFO EDCORE (29380): DCS/2.9.0.47168 (x86_64; MT; Windows NT 10.0.19045) 2023-10-29 14:00:17.929 INFO EDCORE (29380): F:\DCS World\bin-mt\GraphicsCore.dll 2023-10-29 14:00:17.930 INFO EDCORE (29380): # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 00007ffa112ab1d2 00:00000000 2023-10-29 14:00:17.931 INFO EDCORE (29380): SymInit: Symbol-SearchPath: '.', symOptions: 532, UserName: 'raimo' 2023-10-29 14:00:17.932 INFO EDCORE (29380): OS-Version: 10.0.19045 () 0x100-0x1 2023-10-29 14:00:17.933 INFO EDCORE (29380): 0x000000000004b1d2 (GraphicsCore): render::RenderGraph::~RenderGraph + 0x4DC2 2023-10-29 14:00:17.934 INFO EDCORE (29380): 0x00000000000514b2 (GraphicsCore): render::RenderGraph::bakeGraph + 0x2012 2023-10-29 14:00:17.935 INFO EDCORE (29380): 0x0000000000050d9e (GraphicsCore): render::RenderGraph::bakeGraph + 0x18FE 2023-10-29 14:00:17.935 INFO EDCORE (29380): 0x000000000000e94f (SceneRenderer): DCSSceneRenderer::bakeRenderGraph + 0x3F 2023-10-29 14:00:17.935 INFO EDCORE (29380): 0x000000000013db67 (Visualizer): smCamera_Implement::getClipRegion + 0x1A7E7 2023-10-29 14:00:17.936 INFO EDCORE (29380): 0x0000000000048a2b (edCore): ed::this_thread::yield + 0x14A4B 2023-10-29 14:00:17.936 INFO EDCORE (29380): 0x0000000000047cf2 (edCore): ed::this_thread::yield + 0x13D12 2023-10-29 14:00:17.936 INFO EDCORE (29380): 0x00000000000495a3 (edCore): ed::this_thread::yield + 0x155C3 2023-10-29 14:00:17.936 INFO EDCORE (29380): 0x00000000000335b1 (edCore): ed::thread::_get_current_thread_id + 0x71 2023-10-29 14:00:17.936 INFO EDCORE (29380): 0x0000000000021bb2 (ucrtbase): _configthreadlocale + 0x92 2023-10-29 14:00:17.936 INFO EDCORE (29380): 0x0000000000017344 (KERNEL32): BaseThreadInitThunk + 0x14 2023-10-29 14:00:18.135 INFO EDCORE (29380): Minidump created.   10. I'm working on it and not sure I can make it work as some of the logic still escapes me, but I think I have the main blocks down. I will of course publish it as a fork on git when it's ready.
  11. what about the camera menu and bookmarks? do they work?
  12. nice, thanks. That's going to be on my fork then, with due credit. Unless ADHD dictates that I lose interest in this before I get to complete it. But it should be easy enough, given the framework and the work you've already done.
  13. Say I do add the code to interface with the H-60... Would you be OK with me publishing that (probably on github either on yours, if you have one or on the main branch)?
  14. Ah right. No I meant it now reads coordinates correctly for the H-60 series of modules. I didn't know you made something that *enters* coords in modules. I will need to have a look, as I've been using TheWay for that...
  15. Done as a pull request on their github
  16. Hey I just wanted to share my thoughts on the newly dropped OB 2.9 and DCS in general. The last year has been a big, big one for DCS. We got Multithreading, DLSS and voice comms is getting up there to SRS level (not quite yet, but it will, making the whole game more and more enjoyable). I got into DCS as I was starting my pilot training about 10 years ago, because I was searching for a decent helicopter simulation and the options were kind of limited at the time. I bought the Huey in early access and from there on the whole thing has crept on me like those additional tasks at work, only I enjoy this one. Of course DCS has problems, issues, annoying bugs, stuff that could be done better. AND it costs an arm and a leg. Not just the software itself (which is free, the modules are kind of expensive - the huey was 49.99 in 2013 when I first got it in beta) but in terms of the rabbit hole it made me go down with peripherals, I must have consumed about 10k on sticks, throttles, collectives alone, not counting the PC hardware and recently the VR related stuff. AND the time sinkhole this whole hobby tends to be. But it makes me happy. This thing makes me want to play since 10 years and it is something no other game has been able to do, to date (and I am fast approaching 50y.o.). The other game with a high enough hours count to be comparable is Elite Dangerous, which I played from 2016 until about 2019 and where I have a measly 1800hrs played... DCS hasn't got a reliable way of counting the hours I have spent in the virtual cockpits, but I would venture to say I have might have accrued some 8-10K hours to date. It's just that good, to me. So here's my thanks to ED for making, keeping up in supporting and developing such a piece of software.
  17. really? Ima try that. EDIT: no it does not work. I'll remove all mods and run a long repair. See if that helps. Otherwise, I'm call it quits.
  18. Hi, I did a cursory search but did not find any recent infromation about this issue, so maybe somebody can help? last time I used the remote WebUI was with the previous OB version. IDK if it's an issue with this new version or the fact that I changed the dedicated server hardware, but this is the issue: - local WebUI on the physical machine works OK (Pic 1) - server is correctly listed both on the web and in game (Pic 2, web) - I can join the server with no issues - Remote WebUI does not display any info on the server (Pic 3) Ports are correctly forwarded, to my knowledge. 8088 and 10308 point at the server machine's IP. Any idea?
  19. posting to see if there's any IC compliant update released in the future.
  20. OMG I just tried it and was going fn mad with it... Thanks!
  21. wait do they work through IC?
  22. no it doesnt. And I'm saying this from a system that does 80fps on Grayflag Syria, with a lot of options turned up... MT just somewhat somehow helped but we're far from running good in VR, unless you have near top of the line hardware. Not something a lot of people can afford. For various reasons, not just money.
  23. The voice is the apr39, there's a.mod somewhere in this thread (if memory serves) which has clearer audio for the apr39. I've installed it and can now understand when I'm being pinged by radars.
  24. Not going to update theway then. Thanks for the heads up
