Девкит Рифта можно уже купить. Девайс у меня есть но в Вар Тандере еще не пробовал. Можно будет попробовать на выходных. В целом, пока очень низкое разрешение для флайтсимов. Да и укачивает неподетски.

I agree that glider will be a blast, absolutely love them in real life, but then it is not DCS anymore, there is nothing Combat in glider.

Это смотря в какой стране. В России может и секретный, состоящий на вооружении. А в Украине, например, его уже сняли с вооружения. И документацию найти не проблема. Даже получить доступ к тренажеру не проблема :)

Dynamic lighting need to be improved. Some missions really impossible to fly. I could disable it before, but now I can't disable it because sim crashing to desktop when any Huey is trying to fire miniguns.

I doubt there is one in Huey ;)

LOL I've been modelling F-35cockpit, just for fun, in Maya somewhere in 2009, before Dino released his model. And I have made exactly the same textures for pedestal. And you know why? Because we all used the same photo! Don't have a better picture of it now. P.S. that photo is basically a perfect projection, too perfect to ignore. Hey Flim can you please tell me what do you use to properly run Rift in DCS? Did you managed to setup stereo? If you use Vireo, could you please post your settings? Thanks!

Необходимо скачать DCS World, посавить, скачать модуль А-10С под ворлд, поставить. Затем просто запускать ворлд и играть. Если оригинальный, автономный А-10 уже установлен, то даже ключа спрашивать не должно. Если спросит - давай ключ от родного.

Read this: http://www.leepvr.com/spie1990.php Palmer himself says this in every video that it is nothing new, just finally affordable, and with better specs. I love Rift actually, this is the best HMD in my collection, I just see that it is not suitable for DCS yet.

Oculus Rift optical design, and all the pre-warping image technique mimics Leap design: http://www.leepvr.com/about.php Which was used in professional HMDs in the eighties. I have HMD from 1993, with 120 degree FOV, which provides similar sense. Benefit is that now all the components are cheap enough to build similar HMD but much cheaper, and also lighter and better rez.

Всему виной - оптика. Вы смотрите не на экран перед глазом, вы смотрите на его изображение через оптическую систему, это почти как бинокль, только наоборот. Это одна панель на оба глаза. Каждый глаз будет получать разрешение 960*1080, при чем эти пиксели растянуты на достаточно большой угол обзора. Это всего в 1.5 раза больше пикселей по горизонтали чем на текущем девките (640*800). У меня есть Девкит Окулус Рифта, и я проводил кое-какие тесты с ДКС на нем: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1764950&postcount=374 Есть основания полагать что апгрейт панели до Фулл-ХД будет недостаточным чтобы комфортно играть в ДКС. Например у А-10С нельзя будет разобрать что написано на ИЛС или ЦДУ, а зумить картинку нельзя иначе мозг шалит и очень быстро укачивает (это совсем не то что зумить картинку на мониторе, который занимает от силы 35 - 40 градусов вашего обзора). Это все мои наблюдения, конечно подождем финальный продукт, посмотрим.

How is that? If you couldn't read anything on A-10C HUD or CDU? I doubt you would be able to do so in 1080p Rift, you cannot zoom (change FOV) as you do with monitors, without having nausea. Also you need to see targets with Eyeball Mark1 sometimes. Consider this as my educated guess, not critics.

1. Man, I'm HMD fan myself, I have 5 HMDs now in my collection, including Rift Devkit. All I was telling that if there was not enough resolution to play DCS in Sony HMZ T1, Rift with HD panel will not be better (in terms of resolution than HMZ T1). It will be better if they put higher rez panel. Unfortunately I highly doubt, it is very high-cost process, with their funding now they cannot produce custom high-dencity panels. 2. But I also DCS fan, and I see that no matter if you are Fighter or Attack Aircraft pilot - resolution is crucial. It is essential to everyhting you do in DCS. An yes, I also have high-rez monitors.
