  1. Great reviews and vids, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to finishing the BFM campaign and moving on to this one! WB.
  2. My pedals arrived today and I was up and running in about half an hour. Here is the text of an email I received form Milan after I asked for an update on my order: "Hi WB and thank you for your order ! This is a status update regarding your order scheduled for February 2017. Your order is among ones that was scheduled to ship between 15/02/2016 - 28/02/2017. Your order was confirmed on : 01/25/2017 and is among orders recieved from 10/01/17 till 01/02/17. We always try to ship oldest orders first. PLEASE ACCEPT OUR SINCERE APOLOGY FOR THE SHORT DELAY IN DELIVERY We are completely aware that February is behind us, and that you wish to know exact delivery date. Short explanation is that all pedals for "february" delivery are produced and partly assembled. We are expecting brake axis springs to arrive on monday or tuesday so we can finish assembly, test pedals and pack them. If all goes well your pedals should be packed and ready to ship by saturday 11/03/2017, and I will send invoice on friday/saturday next week. I also have a need to explain myself for delay. Usually we do keep up to our promises on delivery dates and respond promptly to e-mails, but this year started a bit crazy and things got out of our hands. First bump we got ourselves into was in January with shortage of grey pedals. Usually, customers order approx 60% graphite, 40% grey...but for January we had quite opposite - 70 % in grey. This resulted in delays of January deliveries untill we produced enough Mild grey pedals so we can deliver ... but that wasn't enough to move us off course. At start of february we spent all of our "old batch" supplies for brake axis return springs. Of course, we had new batch of 1000 pcs left + right springs in stock already, delivered to us in January. But as soon as we started to assemble the pedals we realised that right brake axis springs are out of tolerance. Spring hook lenght on a new batch was 1-2mm shorter... Springs could barely fit, but there was not enough room for a spring to contract making it possible to pop out of it's hooking hole on the rudder pedals...in other words - a faulty spring. So, we RMA right brake axis springs to our supplier with request for urgent delivery of replacements. They refused to RMA and gave us standard delivery schedule of new ones...you can imagine how crazy I was at that time. After few days of useless telephone conversations I booked a flight to to visit our supplier and bring a colegue of mine just for show, to stress out urgency o fhe situation. Long story short we ended up being 8 days in Germany. I wasn't going back home untill I was sure everything will be delivered to us ASAP. They still had to finish zinc plating process when I left last friday, and promised to ship it on friday or monday. And that's why I write this newsletter now, I can finally provide some rough schedule. Due to above circumstances we didn't respond to your e-mails in a prompt fasion as we usually do. I hope this insight will ease the pain of waiting. Me and my team really do our best to shorten the delay as much as possible, but shipping a product that is not up to our standards is not an option. We already failed to notice a faulty spring on two occasions and therefore replacement spring was sent to customers. Bad for our budget and annoying to replace by customers... Sincerely yours Milan" So after a short delay my pedals have arrived along with a couple of extensions for my Warthog joystick. I'm a happy bunny and super excited to get some flying done! :) Good luck to those of you who have orders in - I'm sure the wait will be worth it. S! WB.
  3. They are on their way! :) I had a couple of emails from Milan explaining that they had had a bad batch of bits hence the delay. I've been following the parcel via the courier tracking website. Currently in transit in Germany. Hopefully here in a couple of days! Getting excited now. :) :) WB.
  4. The F117 module is already there - you just can't see it! :) WB.
  5. I tried this and there was a marked improvement in the RIFT display. However, when I reconnected my monitor via the displayport the resolution on my monitor was set to a default of '720p, 1280 x 720 (recommended)' and no matter what I try I can't get it back to its original 1080p 1920 x 1080 setting. Grrrrrr I've tried re-installing the nVidia drivers and a new displayport cable and nothing works. I have an MSI GTX 1070 which has only one HDMI port (for the RIFT) and 3 displayport ports, none of which will give me back my 1080p resolution I had before trying this fix. My RIFT experience is now great but my desktop resolution is pants!!! I blame you fitness88! Curse you! :) Anybody had a similar issue or can recommend a solution. I've spent half a day trying googled fixes but so far no joy. :( Regards, WB.
  6. Wow, looks great. Think I would still prefer to use my HOTAS but the ability to do all the switchology with my hands would be awesome! WB.
  7. I ordered my pedals in January and received a confirmation email with an expected shipment date of 15-28 Feb. So far I have heard nothing despite sending an email via their website a few days ago. Just wondering if anybody else has a set on order and if they've had any updates? Cheers, WB.
  8. Happy to report that I have now flown all the training tutorials in 1.5 and several quick start and freefly missions in 2.5 with no issues. Loving the F5E. :) WB.
  9. Woohoo! Seems to have done the trick. Only brief testing so far but all seems good. Will try more detailed testing later and report back. Many thanks. WB.
  10. Checked with admin privileges enabled but it made no difference! :( WB.
  11. Hi there, I'm running Windows Defender and DCS is not running with administrator privileges as far as I can tell by looking at the properties of both the updater exe and the DCS exe. Will try with admin privileges checked and report back. Cheers, WB.
  12. And now its just happened in the 1.5 version on the 3rd mission in the training series. :( Logs attached. WB. Logs2.zip
  13. Thanks for the reply SkateZilla, please find the zipped files attached as requested. Regards, WB. Logs.zip
  14. Bump! Is nobody using Voicattack for comms with the F5E? There must be somebody out there? :( WB.
  15. Hi all, I'm getting a crash with the windows message 'DCS has stopped working' whenever I hit the FLY button to start a mission with the F5E in the latest NTTR Open Alpha. It is fine in 1.5 but whether it a quick start mission, BFM campaign mission or from within the mission editor on NTTR I get the crash. If I uninstall and reinstall the F5E module it will work for one or two occasions but then the crashes start again. All other modules work without any problems. Anyone else having the same issue and how do I go about reporting it as a potential bug? Many thanks in advance for any advice/help. Regards, WB.
  16. Chuckle. I love this internet thingamejig! WB.
  17. Also posted this over in the F5E forum so please excuse the duplication but hoping for maximum exposure: Just getting back to DCS after a while and I'm busy getting everything set up and learning to fly the F5E. Does anyone have a Vaicom/Voiceattack profile to save me a whole lot of time please? Already spent most of the day installing and reading the manuals. Any assistance much appreciated and paid back with rep and karma. Cheers, WB.

  19. Thanks for these, just what I was looking for. However, like the poster above I can't get it to work in 1.5.5 although it works great in 2 open_alpha! Any help, much appreciated. Cheers, WB.
  20. This raises an interesting question as to whether the likes of Oculus Rift or other VR kit will improve the sort of limitations mentioned above? WB.
  21. Could it also be a function of using unlimited ammo in the difficulty options? WB.
  22. A fast framerate of 75 or greater? That might limit a lot of people. Will v-sync be a factor as that limits framerate even further? Looks like expensive upgrades will be necessary to get the OR running at acceptable levels. WB.
  23. There's another great vid tutorial here: WB.
  24. Oh, and we're both on Win7 so I don't think it's a Win8 problem. WB.
  25. A fellow squad mate and I had a similar issue whilst we were trying to troubleshoot a controller problem I was having. He posted this in that thread: "Whilst helping the OP, I've seen strange behaviour with the options and auto recovery since upgrade to 1.2.8. I've just renamed my saved games/DCS folder and fired the game up and gone into controls and it's blank. Swapping between the tabs (System, Audio, Controls), it stayed in this state. I also couldn't turn the in game music down/off without doing the following: Turn down in game music, click ok (nothing happens) Go to system tab and do something (change texture map, click ok) Go back to audio and check in game music is 0% Click cancel (music stops)" Seems like there is a bug with the menus. WB.
