  1. I don't have a profile but I do have an X55 collecting dust. They do not/can not use the same profile given different software and button configurations.
  2. You do like to argue, don't ya. :)
  3. I don't see how that would be a bad thing. I don't think anybody expects it all at once, I certainly don't, but to limit the ability because the USN didn't have it would certainly be an unfortunate decision. Anyway, we get what we get. I'll buy it and I'll enjoy it.
  4. It would be unfortunate for ED to not include the 55's. We all want realistic but not to the point that it takes away the fun of the game. "Game" being the word to emphasize.
  5. https://courses.rogerdodger.net/courses/diy-center-joystick-frame This is as easy as it gets. Anybody can build it.
  6. I bought new HOTAS a while ago and these are collecting dust. Both are in perfectly functioning condition. $250.00 Canadian plus shipping. PayPal only Lowering the price to $200.00
  7. Yep, its an exciting time man. Can't wait for a higher resolution set.
  8. HA!!!! Sorry for my pessimism but ED has a very long notorious history of not communicating. I mean, hey, I love the product but communication and ED is not synchronous.
  9. Hannibal, I don't know for a fact but I suspect the increased resolution will be barely noticed given most people are running at a DP above 1.0. The pixel compression most of us are running on will be a much larger performance hit than the Samsung resolution.
  10. There should be a huge banner on the site that you can't miss stating SLI NOT SUPPORTED.
  11. No, I mean DCS code. Actual VR integration, multicore support, etc.
  12. SLI isn't supported so its not an option. Get a 1080Ti if you like but at this time without proper software support I don't think its worth the cash. Waiting is your best path.
  13. BeastyBaiter you don't need 90FPS for VR. See my specs in my signature. To be honest, I get smooth FPS (probably 45) all day, every day. I never get nausea, I always have a good time, and its extremely rare that I get a noticeable stutter while playing. At that, the gains from a 8700K are mute.
  14. Perhaps we can borrow your talent for our group one day.
  15. Absolutely Yes. We all want the realism but we also want to complete our missions. No matter how hard core you are, this is still a game, we are all virtual pilots when we play it and a very large part of the fun for a group such as the VFA-2 is completing tasks.
  16. Wicked job man. Outstanding.
  17. I only use it for DCS. Best money I ever spent.
  18. From Wikipedia As the Super Hornet is significantly heavier than the "legacy" Hornet, the catapult and arresting systems must be set differently. To aid safe flight operations and prevent confusion in radio calls, the Super Hornet is informally referred to as the "Rhino" to distinguish it from earlier Hornets. (The "Rhino" nickname was previously applied to the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II, which was retired from the fleet in 1987.)
  19. I'm a little late to this conversation but to let you know about performance, I run 1.5 on my SSD and 2.0 on a HDD. Performance is far superior in 2.0 I'm assume due to the code upgrades so I would suggest there is not benefit given 32GB of RAM other than load times. I love the SSD and would never go back but I firmly believe there are no advantages for game play.
  20. A-10 for sure. The others are fine for basic flight but the systems can't help you. The A-10C's use of the TGP, slaving Mavs, CCIP/CCRP and lasing is the knowledge you will require.
  21. So, you never got it stable?
  22. There would be no performance increase. SLI is not supported. I ran 2x780's until the 1080 came out. I can tell you that you will see 0 performance increase. I doubt also that running a second SSD as you have suggested would increase your performance unless the new one has variables that make it so but i'm sure it would be so small you'd never notice.
  23. I've always thought of AMD processors as requiring that extra attention that I just don't want to give. I've had several, admittedly not for a few years now but they never ran as consistently as Intel. What the new ones are doing, I'm not sure but I would suspect more of the same.
  24. We've used a label mod in the past as well. It works quite well. We have had on occasion in the past one of our squad doing the JTAC role and that is obviously best but not always accessible.
  25. Meh, whatever.
