Waiting while flying the MiG-21Bis is no curse (^.-)

Nice theme. The holidays have started in Russia. I hope the announcement will be a full-blown DCS: SU-27 (or MiG-29). That would be like fireworks. To all ... A Healthy and Happy New Year!

Oh Wunderbaum, oh Wunderbaum, wie schön sind Deine Dufte (^,^)

Michael Schumacher fighting for his life after skiing accident
Hans-Joachim Marseille replied to Laurius's topic in Chit-Chat
This is sad news. It was on national television a lot today. I'm sure the doctors in Grenoble did all they could, even taking away a piece of his skull to release the tension on his brains and cooling them to reduce the brains' need of oxygen. He was skiing outside the set perimeter, but still very sad. -
Thank you for the belated Christmas Wishes ... you're like my aunt who always sends her Christmas card late (^,^) And yes, I'm also awestruck by those cockpit pictures (even though it's not as clean looking as a German cockpit). But hey, no Wunderbaum (see MiG-21BiS thread)?!

Welcome to the forum Goanna1, and Best Wishes to you too. Edit: Ilya has just extended his Holiday Wishes ... better late than never I suppose (^.-) With 2013 almost a wrap, I can say it was not a great year for me either but better than the previous year. Hope 2014 will be a more promising year for all of us ...

+1. Sad to see where this game is heading in terms of interaction with the fans. Would have been nice to see a Christmas wish from RRG, even though Russia celebrates it on January 7. (^.-)

The OFFICIAL Logo Design and Submission Thread
Hans-Joachim Marseille replied to luthier1's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Look at it as some additional time to allow new entries or edit/finalize existing ones. I wouldn't mind seeing some new ones that broaden the choice range and include stylized logos (like eg. the Aston Martin one). A mash-up would also be nice. I'm still working on something stylized in the lines of wings to depict "WWII". But I'm not an artist, so it takes a lot of effort for something simple. -
Ouch! ... Moderator? :P

Good tidings to Wags. Wonder what presents he gets to unwrap.

The OFFICIAL Logo Design and Submission Thread
Hans-Joachim Marseille replied to luthier1's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Now that this thread is near dead, I'll post my potshot cliché (^,^) Inspired by "Triumph des Willens" and "Red October". I lack the artistic skill that some of you have, but rather like leaflet-type period font and simplicity. Nothing speaks Europe theater more than a German font type (Potsdam in this case). -

I should have sent you a PM in retrospect. I apologize. -
Normandy Wall Map Project
Hans-Joachim Marseille replied to Merlin-27's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
That is a cool map, nice colouring too. Great idea to laminate and put a metal sheet behind it, for marking. -

How about Oleg Maddox for community manager? He speaks both Russian and English, and commands respect. At least he has mine. Some high-res shots of that Bf.109 cockpit would be nice. I think you better explain what going through a divorce means to some in this crowd. Maybe they think it's all roses and you'll have plenty of time to post updates for work in between lawyer bills, paperwork, cold lonely pizza, sleepless nights and booze. Can you please stop acting like you're the voice of this community? Thanks. -

Come to think of it; I've pre-ordered a deluxe-version copy of the WWII board game "Pocket Armies" (now renamed to "War Stories: Red Storm") by Conquistador Games in July 2011 and it's still in development (after the lead designer left). That was even before they started a KickStarter. Some things in life are worth waiting for, without complaining.

Where did all the zombies come from? Oh wait, I forgot it's Halloween. People need to learn to be patient. There's plenty of other things to worry about in life than a "missing" update. If not, then you have a pretty good life. -
Valid question, I'm interested in that too. Well, sort of ... in a knife-sharpening way. Better close this thread already, and others like it.

Sandi then? Wait a minute ... who's Sandi?
-
Damn cichlidfan, did you have to spoil it? ;)
-
Isn't she lovely? She has my vote for community manager.

I could be someone from the existing team. *kuch* Anya I think part of it is the adrenalin of the Kickstarter (anticipation) and then what feels like a news stop (slight disappointment).
-
What is this ... starting a witch hunt? I'm just as disappointed as all of you, but it's not like he owes us to uncover his private life. I think a community manager would be a good idea ... it works for the other sim.

Material looks like Trespa to me, which I've worked with during my technical education and is very dense and waterproof. It can also be found in DIY stores; although quite pricey and hard to cut it makes a perfect replacement for multiplex. I've owned a Simped F-16/USB and sold it earlier this year to a Falcon BMS aficionado. Since then, I'm rudderless. I'm thinking to purchase the VKB Mk22 when it comes out in Q1 next year, but also contemplating re-purchasing the Simped (Vario). They can be found second-hand at good prices (150 Euro), since the Hoffman family have stopped producing the Simped.

No circle-jerk party here, so I guess I'll give an old friend a hand :joystick:
