Fixed version is under upload now DOn't try to fix on your side, it's far more complex than 1-2 tweaks. They changed the way automatic reloadable guns are coded. I had to use a less efficient method, though everything is tested and working now here. You will get the link for V4.5 this friday. I would gladly like to hear again about this "modders guide" that was promised... Problem is that they won't, according to Chizh who's kamov dev on russians forums : "We invented it ourselves, we implement our own concept. This is the problem we're talking about here. Seems that anyway ED made their choice, but then again, they should assume it elsewhere than on russian forums that virtually noone except russian cyrilic readers can read. TBH what I see on my side is the following : BS3 without 3 pylons wing and MWS would hardly be sold simply because everything "new" which is left should be part of standard free updates. Having to pay say for the Shkval filters would be like asking an F-18 guy to pay again to be allowed to fold his wings. So in the end, as they had to sell it, they decided to put "new systems" on it, even if it would have to be invented. The fair way to go would be to get BS3 and "BS3 paid version" : BS3 classic being the free update of the current BS2 to 2021 standards. BS3 paid version being the "inovation" version... But nope, you'll have to pay for invented stuff which justify you to pay, eventually, perhaps, being left the possibility with BS3 to have the "BS2 upgraded" version without the inventions... Cause make no mistakes : the problem is not really that they invent things. The problem is that they don't state it in public. People will buy BS3 thinking they by a simulator... They will instead buy an helicopter "imagined" by the devs. THey are very competent devs, are able to make good educated guesses, but in the end, this is not what you really pay for when you buy a DCS module and therefore should you be perfectly and transparently informed about it.

Can't agree more with you zero. This is something people need to know, as they blindly trust ED on this matter. This is not acceptable again. There is no debate about it. Usually we wonder if this or that could be done like IRL other prototypes like the SH or things like this. Here you go for the picture. I hardly imagine Oleg and Pavel from the VVS engineering department deciding to implement their brand new MWS on this... Thing. Anyway why not after all... But anyone would think it kinda weird... Russians are not the best when it comes to onboard electronics(they tend to use israeli or french tech depending on planes or tanks) ... But they still are able to produce their own screen with their own code, without having to go through using a 20 years old foreign tech. Particularily for something as simple as displaying a circle with 1 red dot. Don't know man I'm very surprised by this ED choice and am (from what I see like everyone here) very doubtful about its realism. Not like if making the 3d for a small added screen attached somewhere in the pit was complex. I suppose we should have the glass cockpit version for it. My philosophy like most of you is to fly the real thing. When I ask for FLIR say I'm talking about getting the sh version not a weird mix from a paper drawing... If in the end FLIR never really existed and was a mockup on the sh, then that's fine if I don't get it. ED perhaps could be a bit more ambitious on this update and rework the cockpit. If I get a full glass cockpit I'd think it's legit for me to pay full price as it would not be anymore the same aircraft. Here... I don't know. I've always been proud to learn and teach one of the best modeled helicopters available on the market. I'm honestly sad to see that I won't be able to say it anymore with bs3... Or at least, seeing the complete opacity and very vague explanations from ED, permanently doubt about the reality of this product. Like you I never saw any ka with 3 pylons. I'm embarrassed cause of course, I don't want to spit on the idea to get iglas... But in the end if I get a paper plane like in some tank games where you get to use the "plausible prototype", I'll loose what I come for which is simulation. Eagle Dynamics has built its reputation of realism with the shark. It's a bit sad to break this reputation with the very same aircraft 13 years later... So much work was spent on other planes to fulfill the dreams of so many, I sincerely feel sad to see the shark becoming the first example of an inaccurate work. So if it's realistic then please Eagle Dynamics, give us complete explanations and not a tweet or something like this. Black shark users are among your oldest customers, you owe them a lot... They said in newletter that the second red dot is a second missile discriminated as non prioritary by the system. I have heavy doubts on the usefulness of this thing. Would have been far better if it got displayed over the map. Really looks like someone got lazy here anyway... Abris is a finnish system... I don't think they would have put it this way. Plus Abris probably never was expected to be used in mass production.

Sh was more likely to be a demo "export" version I think, to be confirmed by others. Let's say that our Kamov-50 would probably have been the very first iteration, perhaps with some last minute addition or replacements... (Abris, which is a finnish Transas computer for example...)

48 km/h reverse speed on Leclerc. Totally agree for all you said. Try the Frenchpack v4 for more accurate leclerc (at least for stab and aiming), can't mod the reverse speed.

Yup. 1000 well coordinated, commanded, and trained p-47 may still be more efficient than 1000 badly coordinated, commanded and trained A-10C.

We really, really, reaaaally don't fly the same missions lmao. Anyway, these apache points simply don't have anything to do here. In my squad we deploy 12 ka-50 and 4 gazelles, along with 4 A10C, 30 various fighters... Welp, we're the kings of A/G, the centerpiece, the masterpiece, the crown jewel.... Our missions are to stop various and very complex ENI deployments, covered with SAM up to Sa 15 or 19, on as much realistic as possible real scenarios reproductions... We even get to meet other chopers sometimes... Lol we eat them, simply because ye know, we have strict procedures for such situation and everyone knows what he has to do. Would you be in an apache against such deployment you would never even stand a chance to shoot... Yesterday for training purpose we ended againt 12 Mi-24 covering a massive armor countee attack.... The Mi-24 never managed to reach 4 km from our units... We regrouped the whole package in 1 min and slaughtered them in roughly 90 seconds. Still, in our mission planification, we systematically plan the losses : yesterday we expected 25%. We ended around 20%. Being solo in such an environment simply is pointless ! Sry guys but past a moment reading the bs sections really looks like reading the complaint of solo rookies who think that it's because of the aircraft that they are so bad... Go join a real hardcore sim squad and learn the real thing instead of stating that "ka-50 is not able to do more than assymetric warfare" or no match compared to other helos... Cause no helo whatsoever was ever planned to be used alone like in dlc campaigns or your solo miz. US apache deployments in Iraq, against supposedly real opposition were 30-40 HLO heavy ! Still they got their ass kicked by surprise, manually aimed zu23 ! Because apache is like any other HLO. If used in the proper conditions it rocks. If not it burns. Ka-50 is its exact soviet counterpart. So there has to be mission tuning for every single type of airframe, else you send the guy on direct suicide mission. Statistically, in real war against USSR, US HLO pilot lifespan statistics were around 15 minutes, whatever type being considered ! The whole A-10C US fleet was to vanish in roughly one month !

Is it realistic ? I guess not that much. Does it mean that getting it makes people who use it casual or midsimmers ? I guess not that much either. Because after all, Ka-50 real career has been on DCS, not in real life. I fly this helo and only this one for 10 years now... Having the engineers to listen at my feedbacks on what's missing is after all a normal operational behavior. All the gear already exists for the Ka-52. I would like a Ka-52, but I will gladly use the few pieces I can get from it on my 50. I would have liked a FLIR, the full DIRCM, RWR, a better PrPnk, MFDs and RWR... I will only get an MWS and Iglas on a 3rd pylon... Past this, I'll tell you, I think those engineers are very stingy In the end I don't get this much with BS3. At least from what I see. Not this much that would not be a free upgrade on other modules. Though I see the 3D work, I know what it is, and paying 10 bucks for it will be legit for me. But I strongly suggest ED to have a bit more than Iglas, MWS and constrast locking shkval onboard of their BS3. After all, the constrast locking should always have been ingame and would simply be a normal update, not a payware one. I insist on this : This is not normal to pay to get a system to be modelized correctly on a product that I already bought with written in its description that systems are correctly reproduced. I have no hesitation to yell it : Give me a FLIR. This will be the game changer and your upgrade will really be worth the money. And give the ability for "hardcore team" to swap shkval to FLIR, this way everyone is happy. Nicolas
