I noticed in the Weapons Loadout Page on ME that the when I remove the Phoenix Launch Rails the overall weight of the F-14 stays the same!

I don't like the S2 with DCS. The IPD can't be changed mechanically, so it can't be adjusted to fit my eyes well enough. I have to set the CV1 IPD to the maximum setting to get the right look when I'm parked on the ramp. Which means, it looks like I'm sitting with my head 8-12 feet above the ground, depending on aircraft. If you put the mechanical IPD to the minimum setting, it looks like you're but is practically sitting on the ground from the cockpit. Even the IPD setting in the game doesn't have the same effect as the mechanical adjustment. The game setting only changes the apparent size of the cockpit. With the software setting, you can make the cockpit so small that it looks like you're wearing it like a helmet on your head, or so big that you feel like a new born flying the aircraft...but, the mechanical adjustment only seems to affect your vertical height...

I've been experimenting with the different view options while replaying one of my track files. I originally played the mission in VR, and so when I watch it on a monitor it looks too close to the front panel and If I try to zoom out, the connection between my VR head movements is broken and I'm left with either keyboard or mouse control to move my head around in the cockpit. If there isn't a way to resume the previously recorded head movements, and change the level of zoom, then I'd like to see that...As things are now, it makes videos posted on YouTube look too zoomed in...

If anyone ever gets the chance to sit in the real aircraft, remember. The IPD adjustment in the game only affects the scale of the aircraft you're in. If you have one of the sticks that TM sells then use this to compare the size of the real one versus the VR stick and adjust the IPD accordingly. Otherwise, you'll have to do so using your memory to get the right scale. Mechanical IPD affects more the height of the aircraft from the ground. Depending on what VR headset you have, you'll have to adjust this to get the right apparent height above the tarmac...;)

How do I adjust the zoom level in a track file without losing the original VR head tracking?

You folks at ED have over complicated the audio of this game, or there's a bug...I have AE-9, an LG Monitor, and Rift CV1. So far, I can't get full sound on my AVI, or that other compressed video output that you guys made. There is nothing on the log that stands out as an error message, so it might be my choices of audio, I don't know... All I know, is I don't have full sound on my videos... You can look at my video on my YouTube Channel...mytai01...search for it. I have a whole bunch of BFM videos I want to upload to it, but I can't get the sound right in the AVI, or the other one. Everything works fine on the track file...I've included a picture of my sound options. I hope this gives some help...

I found nothing in the log to indicate problems...????????

Where do you see this?
-
I made an AVI Video using the feature in the ME, but it's missing some of the sounds. The track plays fine, just the video is having problems. I've noticed this in both video formats (I haven't tried WAV). I've provided the track file, and the AVI file on my YouTube Channel demonstrates the sound problem I'm having... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EH6FbZ_Hv3M MiG-29A vs F-16C.trk

I don't think everyone knows how important this folder is...;)

This video shows the F-15C hook being cycled, the intakes being cycled...

If you don't backup to another physical drive, you will lose everything if the drive/windows takes a hard crash. This happened to me...
-
Not sure where this is...
-
I don't know if any needs to be told this, but it's super important to backup your DCS files in the Saved Games Folder! You should find it in your User folder on the C: drive. If your drive crashes without it backup to another physical drive, you'll lose all your joystick configs, movies, ME files you made, skins...It's the most important folder to backup for DCS...

This was the best solution! It fixed my problem. However, if you followed the advise to rename your DCS folder to temp, you need to go back and rename it back to the original name and do this procedure in those files. Otherwise, your fixing a folder that's missing all your configurations and joystick setups...;)

DCS now hangs on the full screen DCS Start Up Screen with music and mouse cursor working. I changed the folder name from "DCS.openbeta" to "temp," and it started in windowed mode, but when I try to go back to full screen mode, it just hangs at the DCS World Screen with music and working cursor...I have the latest update on the game and hardware...there was no autoexec.cfg file generated...

What about the radar? After listening to Mover's interview of GONO (F-15C pilot), I get the impression that the DCS F-15C radar, and possibly the whole BVR capability, is severely reduced from anything close to reality. It seems consistently incapable of seeing anything past 50 miles (no matter RCS). Shouldn't it see things further than that? Even the DCS F/A-18C see further...

The idea that the top US Fighter for several decades will be a low demand aircraft is a rich claim. Not everybody loves mud moving. The online user community engage in a lot of A2A engagements, so I have to disagree with this claim...

Do you folks have high quality sound recordings of the real F-14A/B?
-
I've already mentioned that your inability to reproduce my complaint is because I didn't steer you to the correct model. You need to look at the canopy from inside the jet, not outside...my complaint stands as valid...

Ramat David - 09-27 runway holding position sign

If you download the AIM (Airman Information Manual), it has all the possible airfield markings in the US. I'm sure that much of this information is correct for international use, as well. -
Mover called it a Rocks kill, so I'm guessing it doesn't really matter since you knew what I meant...;)
