  1. Is there any information the server receives that would detect whether a connecting player is in VR or not? It would be cool if there was a VR only server so everyone is at the same resolution/spotting disadvantage. I would pay for one if it's possible.
  2. Can I not bind the VR zoom to an axis?
  3. Are these new explosions eye-candy only, or will I no longer be required to pinpoint a tank with mk84 to kill it? CAS with unguided munitions in the game is currently far, far more difficult than it should be.
  4. Where do I put this?
  5. In the Mk. I they had to throw rocks out the cockpit to check their altitude. The clock is a residual altitude gauge.
  6. My opinion would be the Spit XIV was ultimately the best aircraft of the war. Had just about everything you needed. Super late war would be D9 and Tempest, but...ok...we won't open this can of worms.:music_whistling:
  7. So there was no way for pilots to monitor their fuel use "passively"? That seems like a weird way to design it. I guess they would have their fuel usage running through their heads according to how long they were up? Seems like such an obvious gauge to have.
  8. I think he's asking if there is a way to have it always "active" instead of having to press it. I'd like to know too.
  9. Ahaha. That must be why they used Spit XIVs to run down V1s.
  10. Great answers, thanks. So you need both activated around 15k. Why not turn it on during the startup, or would that over pressurize the fuel tank?
  11. Lower your RPMs pretty much as low as they can go and it makes it much more manageable. Everything slow, smooth, and predict the inertia.
  12. I'm not understanding why this needs to be used above 15k, but not under it.. The supercharger compresses air to compensate for thinner air at altitude to maintain the correct fuel:air ratio, right? I don't understand why an additional need for the pump.
  13. Supercharger kicks in around 15k. I assume this is a mixture problem and I'm not rich enough? I didn't see anything in the manual though about mixture control. Or, perhaps I'm misidentifying the problem?
  14. Sorry, I think it's a problem. My throttle is back all the way, and at that point in training it won't progress no matter the throttle position. I have no problem starting the aircraft outside of this mission.
  15. I don't know if this is the correct way to do it, but I don't taxi with the brakes engaged (I think you're right in saying it would cause over heating). I engage rudder then tap the brakes to pivot the plane.
  16. During the engine start sequence I'm having problems in the training mission When I advance the throttle 1/2 - 1 inch, nothing happens. No way to advance. It has done this the last three times. It worked once, but then the engine wouldn't catch even though I'm following the instructions.
  17. Are you guys using automatic or manual radiator control?
  18. Would love this. 416 Sqd would be awesome too
  19. I think mine might have been hardware related. My x55 is giving me issues with the z-axis, it's spiking like crazy whenever there is input to the left. I didn't notice it until I couldn't maintain coordination in a turn and looked down to see my pedals going nuts. I disabled my z axis and haven't had a crash since. If it happens again I'll post a log. Also, it occurred both times in the quick dogfight mission.
  20. Twice now. Where are the crash logs stored? I can't find them.
  21. Ground attack was a major role for the Spitfire, especially Mk IX in Normandy. Pilots hated them because they were tasked so low and were very dangerous with ground fire.
  22. How do you guys navigate to ground targets in something like the Mirage or MiG 21?
  23. What server is it, do you know off hand? I tried downloading jsgme but it said virus detected and won't let me open it.
  24. I'm in love with the Mirage, but I can't input waypoints with MGRS while using it. I have to input via lat/long. Is there a way I can have JTAC report targets using lat/long instead?
