1. I think if stack the screens one ontop of the other in you windows graphics setup instead of side by side then it will fix the NVG probelm (you will need to re-jig you multi monitor .lua)
2. jib

T-80 fun

If you lock onto the target with the Enter key you will get a correct range reading in the bottom left of the screen.
3. I am using my joystick (Logitech G940) for turret control (and driving controls with the joystick buttons) it seems to have better sensitivity. I tried using an xbox controller but the analog stick were not sensitive enough for accurately aiming.
4. You can use Combined Arms in conjunction with any other DCS world modual. Once you have download and installed Combined Arms you can control ground units in any mission (that the mission creator has allowed it). There are specific mission included in the beta, find then in mission editor then CA on the right hand side.
5. When I switch my network connection to LAN it stopped interrupting my conecton also
6. I had a server up last night from 6pm - 10pm GMT (running modified Campaign missions) it crashed after a few minutes the first couple of time, but then stayed up for a long time (2 hours +) with about 4-8 people in until every ground unit on the map was dead and a single tank was dukeing it out with a su25 who only had guns and the jtac was frantically marking it with red smoke to guide in the su25. It was fun!
7. was it a pre placed building or one you put in with the mission editor?, there could be a difference ???
8. If your in a vehicle and Click the <ME> button on command map does not take you to your current location like it does when your in an aircraft. Also the 100% button doesn't show 100% of the map anymore. and the zoom buttons drag an area of the map to zoom to area feature doesn't seem to work on the right hand bottom area of the map.
9. No there is no AI commander as such. Really the best way to play is online, you won't get an AI to match human cunning anytime soon and it is always pleasing to know that the person controlling the vehicle you blew up is now pissed off, lol Saying that a well scripted mission can be fun for a while just not as fun as online play.
10. Having control over the rest of you unit (with the G key)from the first person view is great but I think it could be implemented in the external F7 view of a vehicle as well to give better situational awareness, you can do this in the ARMA games.
11. I was hoping to be able to assign analog axis in the control setup so I could use my hotas and peddles for controlling ground units. It would be nice to use peddels for the acceleration and brakes and the throttle for changing gear. It would be nice to have the finer control that analog controler sticks give you for steering. It would be more convinated when switching between aircraft and ground units.
12. My first impressions are that it is really fun. At first I tried the mission at the top of the list, I had real fun when I found out how to fire the guided missiles from tanks. I killed alot of the enemy tanks with the Smerch MLRS that was alot of fun. But playing single player on that mission got a bit boring fast. So I took the Stronghold mission from the KA50 deployment campaign tweaked it slightly and it was fun to play the ground units advancing with the support of AI air support. But then I took the mission online and that is where the real fun began! Having human controlled ground units is so much harder and more fun to play agiants and then when you call for human air support and it comes in and kick some butt it is like something out of the movies! Taking my BMP into an enemy held village was really scary because you don't now what is around the corner unless you have some eyes in the sky. Making missions is going to be so much fun when you can play them from any role. I haven't tried the JTAC properly yet about from throwing a load of smoke around. I have found that you can still drive a vehicle from the F7 outside view, which is good but it would be better if you could still control the rest of you group with the G ground arrow from outside like on ARMA ( I will put it on the wish list) and it would be cool if you could still fire from the outside view just for aesthetics!
13. Ok I haven't installed Combined Arms yet because I'm still at work. The manual says "In Combined Arms, you have the option to only display enemy units that have first been detected by friendly units. Units not detected will not be displayed on the F10 map. After a contact on an enemy unit has been lost, its icon will be removed from the F10 map. In order to enable this "Fog of War", you must set your F10 Viewing Options to "Fog of War" from the Gameplay tab." It would be good if instead of disappearing the unit icon just grayed out or somthing, so that anyone joining later or who wasn't looking at the map would know that intel on the last know position of units. This happens in some RTS games and it works well.
14. You could try somthing like this:
15. aww I have very fond memorys of Playing M1 Tank Platoon 2 with my dad. (Don't worry he is not dead.) We used to have great fun hunting each other on our home LAN. the sounds in this video give me tingles down the spin.
16. I want the Harrier AV8B! you would need an extra joystick for the thrust vectoring lever.
17. really high quality models. We could really do with an updated LVTP7 through edit: apparently there already is one. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/series/warthog/?PAGEN_2=7 I haven't notice it in game though.
18. Thats ok IB2EZ2C ask away You don't actually need a physical second screen to grab the exported images from you can use this software to create a virtual screen:http://www.demoforge.com/dfmirage.htm. Your .Lua file from Blackshark 1 will not work because ED changed the name of the Abris and Skvhal in the export, have a look in the pre made lua's and you will see you now need to call them LEFT_MFCD and RIGHT_MFCD (i think) also someone has found you can export all kind of indicators (a bit complex)http://www.ru.wiki.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70716&page=27 and for BS http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=85686 hope that helps a bit. I can post my lua when i get home
19. Yes you should just import the whole zip file select the zip file and click yes
20. I think there is some sort of keyboard/command input rate difference between BS1 and BS2. Lots of command on my logitec profile dont work any more unless you press them like 3 times. Maybe this is causing the different feel with the constant T press macro.
21. ok I will try and make a video soon. In the mean time try to use these instructions on the A10 pit, they should help you: http://www.ipadpit.nl/index.php/downloads/Documentation/ipadpit-instructionsv2/
22. Heres the thread about the old tracer mod I was talking about: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=51698&page=15 its for FC2 so there might not be a comparibal file in DCS-A10. It will also ruin you integrity check so you would be able to use it online.
23. Unfortunately there is a bug with the G940 (with mine anyway) that is doesn’t release the pressure on holding down the trim button (only for an instant when the trim button is released). The way I get around this is my using the Logitech profiler to send a stream of T key presses while I hold down the trim button. This works ok but the stick does feel a bit "gratey" while moving around. I hope this helps you out, any more questions I will try and answer them. I believe the G940 is the best and most realistic (because of force feedback) stick to play Blackshark with on the market. It just needs a bit of tweaking Also make sure Forcefeedback is enabled in the options menu and and uncheck the alternate trim mode in the menu options
24. There was a mod that changed the tracer colours so they are more red, it is just an RGB value in a .lua file somewhere. I will see if I can find it:
