  1. I have used TouchControl in the past http://www.touchapptech.com/ but there are probably easier ways if you just want a non clickable screen like Splashtop.
  2. This Gazelle looks sweet, I have been dreaming of flying this baby for years! Thanks
  3. They have been out for 3 days already http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Oculus+rift+review Or do you mean DCS players giving their opinion s on the forum?
  4. I now have great control in the KA50 with my Logitech G940 after I extended the stick by over 2 feet! I also changed the USB controller for the peddles and I get way less spiking and smoother control with them It is really useful to learn to use a soldering iron when you are into flight SIMS :) I find no need to use SIMFFB in the latest versions of DCS (although it was useful for a long time)
  5. This might help: At least in older version you used to be able to enable trackir in CA by modifiyng the control config files but it seems you don't have to do that anymore. hope it helps :)
  6. Yeah me to, I was just trying to fly the A10-C instant action mission and it hung for ever on Loading Land, but jumped in the Su25T instant action mission no problem. :(
  7. Is it going to be a Marcapril update?
  8. No No I think you mean Hype Plane.
  9. It is nearly the middle of March!, But this is DCS time, they never said which year :)
  10. This looks cool. How are you achieving this? Is it a third party program or are you just using the config file to "project" the HUD data?
  11. Yeah I would definitely pay $5 more to have "Highway to the Danger Zone" as the menu music!
  12. I love how this thread has had over 30,000 views in 10 hours! I'm excited but I'm expecting the wait to be a bit longer than first estimated (as usual for DCS).
  13. Helicopters definitely have ground effect modelled , I'm not 100% sure about fixed wing aircraft, but that might be because it is less noticeable.
  14. I'm having this problem to, the trouble is i deleted my repair shortcut ages ago!, I will try uninstalling modual and reinstalling it. Edit: yeah that fixed it without a Repair.
  15. In reading books like Snake pilot they seem to often use a dedicated reconnaissance helicopter to escort the flight and there job is to spot ground targets (it also seems a very dangerous job!) they fly lower and take a lot more fire.
  16. Thanks for making a static Radio mod for DCS world :)
  17. OP wants Control VR to be implemented. Shame that it is $300 - $600 or I might try getting it to mess around but at that price and the fact that DCS probs will not be implementing it makes it a no go for me. Grifta is only $45 and if they hit the antler target (which looks like a big rip-off of TrackIR 5) it might be able to do similar to control vr (but without the cool gloves:cry:)
  18. I would try running a DCS repair from the windows program menu. Also how much RAM do you have in your system? because if its under 6GB you might be running out.
  19. Be gentle with it, or it will end up looking like mine! seriously mine has been held together with duck-tape for years (the plastic on the joint always snaps) Now the wiring has decided to breakup and burn out. It is all fixable, I have definitely got the use out of my soldiering iron over all the years I have been flight simming!
  20. mikethemadmonk i think all you needed is the autohotkey in app purchase. make sure the ipad and pc are on the same network and can 'talk' to each other. There is lots of general help on the fourms http://www.touchapptech.com/
  21. Yeah I'm saying it half joking really. But saying your brain ignores it most of the time so it shouldn't be there is not a very good reason. Im sure 99% of the time your brain 'ignores' the sound of the engines, so should they not model that? I'm saying with an Oculus rift it might make it even more believable if you could see a bit of your nose, even though our brain would almost always ignore it
  22. This has got me thinking. To be realistic they should really model the pilot's nose, Sure it would be really annoying if you where using a normal screen and in the middle of the screen all you could see is a big skin coloured blob. But in all VR game should they be modelling the noise? I reality to blocks about 20% of your vision from each eye (depending on size). It might really add to the "presence" to have a nose floating there. I wonder if anyone has done any research on this, off to Google...
  23. Is there no way to MOD the zoom back into DCS with the rift? Seems like it would be very useful for reading gauges and spotting targets.
  24. If anyone else has this problem I did recently fix it by buying the BU0836A Once I had soldered on the 3 Potentiometers wires (Rudder and 2 brake peddels) to the central pins, the 3 common grounds pins and the 3 common 5-volt pins it was good to go. My pedals now work even better than ever! Less spiking than when they where connected though my G940. I was thinking of changing the rudder Potentiometer to a HAL sensor but im not sure I need to now. there are still spare aixs inputs on the board so i could route some of the throttle controls into it as well (all the wheels have failed because of the cable issue and the throttles can be twitchy) or I might just buy another BU0836A else mapping controls will start to get confusing.
  25. It is very hard to use the mav seeker to lock onto a target it slews all over the place and it is like it is broken compared to the TGP. I don't know if it is this hard in real life but I can't believe it is because before they had the TGP it was the only way to fire MAVs.
