  2. Any conformation on what engine this simulator is running on? Edit: it looks like it is this company: http://udcusa.com/aeronautics/mi-17mi-171-helicopter-flight-simulator/ I think it has nothing to do with DCS it just looks similar because it is set in the same region as the current campaign map. Edit 2: actually it is this company: http://www.avia-ts.ua/ How many differnet companies make mi-17 simulators , you would think they would only need one! It does look to run very smoothly considering the amazing detail of the environments but these simulators cost £500,000+ so they will be running some very high end hardware that I wouldn't be able to get my hands on.

  4. The new Oculas rift with the IR tracking (just like TrackIR but wider movement range) will be great news for flight simmers (it is a mature tracking technology), not very good for people wanting to build there own vr holodeck where they can walk around :doh:
  5. Yes I reported this bug in object errors back in October http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=102662 No reply yet. Edit: Actually reading more closely this is the opposite of the bug I had, I could see the building but it was invisible on the shkval.
  6. I was looking forward to destroying some infantry with grenades but they land right next to the infantry and still do nothing. I know it is hard becasue fragmentation is not modelled in the DCS engine but can we have an explosive power increase on 30mm grenades like the rest of weapons in DCS has just had to help destroy infantry?
  7. I am trying to add an animated model of a soilder to my DSHK I have added the Soldier mesh and given him bones and skinned the model in 3dsMax. But I'm having difficulty with getting the animation to look right. On the animation of arg 0 (the turret turning) the animation is fine the solider spins with the gun, it is the combination of arg 0 and 1 I'm having trouble with. I am having trouble getting the soldiers feet to stay on the ground during the animation of arg 1. The soldiers whole body flies up into the air when the gun tilts. I have tried adding a motion constraint which is a circle around the gun and binding a dummy box to it which is linked to the skeletons feet. This seems works great for arg 0 (rotation) and his feet then stay on the ground but the constrained dummy is linked to a point on the gun and when the tilts the dummy box circulates around the constraint line, when I need it to stay still. If there is a way to set different constraints on the animation when different args are selected that would really help. Does anyone have any ideas on a combination of dummies, constraints and links which would provide a natural looking soldier animation? If I haven't explained it clearly I will upload a screen shoots or video of my problem when I get home. Edit: Uploaded screen shots Rotation is fine I cannot get tilt animation to work, with his feet staying on the ground and the linked bones moving naturally. Is there any way for an arg to effect 2 objects? Or am i going about this the wrong way? I have attached the 3dmax file if anyone wants to have a look at it. DSHKVer74.zip
  8. Hi PeterP, I tired to pm you but it wouldn't let me. I was looking for some help. As you have worked with the Radio Menus a lot to make this mod, I was wondering If you could tell me is there a way to output the current radio menu items from the Sim. I then want to use this data to build a profile for VAC maybe building on the work RISCfuture has done to make an "on the fly" Voice activated command system for DCS. Non of the AHK code you have posted seems to access any DCS Lua files (that I can tell). Your expert help would be appreciated, as I am trying to do this as a little Christmas project. Thanks. Jib.

  11. I was having a crash after about 10 mins on every mission. I did a reinstall of DCS World and have kept from re-installing all the mods I had. I haven't had a crash since. (Sorry if that is bragging) How much memory does your system have? The minimum recommended is now 6GB, apparently DCS can crash if it goes over. I have 4GB but am thinking of upping it to 8GB as a Christmas present to myself. (At £130 for 8GB DDR 2 Memory is so bloody expensive now!)
  12. Are you sure you don't have an axis set to view zoom in axis settings? It usually has one set by default.

I will be able to kill infantry with rockets! :pilotfly:(before a rocket would hit right infont of them and they would stand there and laugh at me :mad:.) I would love to see frag effects implemented in the future (Hopefully coming in CA 1.5 along with vehicle physics???):D

    I believe falcon 4 uses to hide units outside your area of opperations , this is how the could have a large dynamic campaign even way back then.

Yeah it was a bit off topic, but the said he was flying a shoebox and im not sure what he ment so I looked at his specs and just wanted to point out that we are both running below recommended RAM specs. Im not saying upgrading the RAM with give you more features or fix bugs (apart from crashes when DCS runs out of memory) 3instein you could really speed up loading times by getting a fast SSD, thats what I did.
  16. Yeah i think people would use a better third party lobby if they could.(but they cannot because of the login security) Having no filtering or sorting options is disgraceful.
  17. 3instein, Looking at your system specs (and mine) the minimum RAM recommendation is now 6GB, Recomended 8GB. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114431 It is time to upgrade!
  18. Yeah it flies great with my 2 foot stick extension! If anything it is a little to long, I sometimes feel like putting negative curves on it because it is a full body workout moving it from one side to the other.:joystick:

  20. Yes I have found pressing the <>:? keys has always fixed this problem. I always have the both analogue and digital Shkavl command mapped to my joystick. I wish the Shkavl was as controllable as the A10-C TGP but the code seems completely outdated/different
  21. Is this mod broken for anyone else in 1.2.6? I have changed my "math.rad(0)" but it no longer centres the HMS. have ED moved the config somewhere else? Pls Help EDIT: Damn I feel stupid I messed up my JSGME folder structure by calling it "aircraft" instead of "aircrafts" , what a noob
  22. I have found that if you add your own axis command for the accelerator to the input file it will work. ( this was in a much older version but it may still work)

  25. Amazing work Pat keep it up! I'm glad to here you are getting and sharing info with other teams, this will help move DCS modding forward. There has been to much of this "private mod" super secretive stuff over the years.
