She seriously was the greatest thing in that movie, the whole thing just seemed cheap and poorly done even though it wasn't cheap at all.

DCS 1.2.10 Update 1 / Change Log discussion

Noticed in the mission editor, the status bar at the bottom is flickering like crazy, anyone else see this by chance? -
DCS 1.2.10 Update 1 / Change Log discussion
txmtb replied to Raven68's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I just figured it out, I had manually installed some control fixes for the Sabre and 190, since those were not under JSGME they stayed in place. Deleted and good to go. -
DCS 1.2.10 Update 1 / Change Log discussion
txmtb replied to Raven68's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Lol, I like that. Couldn't figure out why JSGME was complaining about some of the mods that I've used for a long time but this explained it. Updated all of the paths and no complaints. -
DCS 1.2.10 Update 1 / Change Log discussion
txmtb replied to Raven68's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
That probably should have been mentioned in the change log? Is there not supposed to be an aircrafts folder period? I still have one with entries only for the F-86 and FW-190D. -
Why do I get a warning when Radar Altimeter is disabled?

"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Flagrum again." Well done Sir. -
Yep, noticed it a while ago. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=128902&highlight=Volume

If you access to the second account, you can unbind and then bind the license to the proper account. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=116362 -
There's also an option in there to Bind it to another user, but make sure you have their login correct.

It's funny how that works. Bought a GPU on Amazon for $249, when I received it 2 days later I went to Amazon and the price was 189 (I was still charged 249). Nothing to be said I guess. Still happy with my purchase. Edit: And yes, I asked them for a refund. Could have went through the circle of returning it and then re-order etc...

Under Options look in the Special section for the F-86, uncheck the Landing Seat Adjustment and you should be good to go.

What version did you update from? They changed the control lua files in 1.2.8 so the old control files from previous versions will no longer work. The new control files have a .diff.lua extension instead of just .lua

Consideration - Freetrack vs. FaceTrack NoIR and more
txmtb replied to Chlebakus's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Not sure about Arma 3 but the only setting I can think to check in Opentrack is under the Game Protocol settings. Been so long since I've installed it but don't think I had to do anything special. -
I've really enjoyed it, DCS World could be used for so much more than it currently is. Using offsets from the airports on multi leg trips is what really showed how wrong the charts can be compared to what's in the sim, or at least for what I wanted to do.

In the sim Batumi is 119.5 and 299.5, according to HAR's in the A-10C CDU, regardless of what it is supposed to be. I just went through and updated all the kneeboard plates since I've been into IFR navigation lately for some silly reason.

txmtb replied to Chlebakus's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The windows versions are here: Dropbox Think I'm using the 2.2a from a couple of months ago. It's a standalone program, so no installation is needed, just unzip to a directory of choice and run. -

Not really anything that I've seen, but the interface is very similar to FaceTrackNoIR so you should be able to use one if you use the other. The biggest difference is an updated Accela filter that has totally different setting parameters. -
no longer works The Ultimate DCS World JSGME Guide - If you use mods, you need this.
txmtb replied to Ebs's topic in DCS Modding
Pretty sure it does but not 100% sure to be honest. It does need to be defined in the mission that is running though. It might be possible to create a mission on one PC that has the skin loaded and define it in the mission, save the mission and then load it on another machine that is the server that does not have the skin loaded. The client of course would still need it loaded. Another option might be to find out what the skin is in the mission on the server, then overwrite that skin on the client with the custom one. Anyone every tried that by chance? -

IIRC, for a skin to show up in MP, the mission on the server needs to have it defined and the skin loaded. Every client that connects and wants to see that skin also has to have it loaded. If a client connects that does not have the skin loaded, they see a default skin instead of the custom one. -
Howto make specific KNEEBOARD pages for special aircraft?

Thanks Alex! That will come in quite handy. -

I went through all of them also, and settled on Opentrack. I like Freetracks interface for viewing movement but had too many crashes and camera lockups on it. The best thing for me is with OpenTrack when you are looking back at 6 oclock and lean either direction the view moves the way it should. FaceTrackNoIR's reverse view doesn't work correctly, when you lean left the view goes right and vice-versa when looking backwards. -
If I understand correctly you are trying to copy controls from one aircraft type to another type. There is a different control file for every aircraft. So what works for controls in the A10C won't work in the F-15 for instance. Need to set up the controls separately for each aircraft.
