is that polycount such an issue for you? I really wonder myself why people become so demanding on such small issues. This is not about an eagle eye but more about emphasys. At this project phase is not worthing to concentrate on insignificant details.

What they are cooking behind Mig15? :D

Try to see if in-game level sounds are on max. If not set them to max and use external (windows settings) to get volumes to required level. Some time ago I had experiment also loosing some sounds just because of this. Since then I have them set to max level in-game and had no other issue. It will be good to know it this will help you too!

Today is 17's day.... new plane for DCS :))))

What price range do I need to be looking at?
Abburo replied to snowman123's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I would say an i5 with an AMD 290 and around 16Gb RAM ... -
Is StarCitizen going into DCS world ? :)))))))

I also think the pot was too big for CTD to handle. Not being an ED 3rd party I am afraid they did not have access to EFM... and from here a lot of other implications. There are some rules changed recently, with good implications to overall quality of modules. Some criteria have to be met to became and agreed 3rd party partner for ED. All I hope now is that CTD will reevaluate their strengths and be able to come back to this community with some new feasible plans. For me is obviously that F18 was a hat a little bigger than they can wear.

Why should we users have to know about their dirty laundry ?

Button Box in the making Derek Spears Design
Abburo replied to Dusty Rhodes's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Because these are a series of commands, can be mapped by using macros only. There are mainly two way to achieve this: - a macro keyboard like Logitech G13, or any other similar device (forgot names for other models but they will appear on google search) - a voice command software of any kind and assign a vocal command to a macro sequence (example: / -> F11 -> F8 -> F3) A macro keyboard can be achieved with an Arduino too, but this means some more time to research, experiment and so on. -

Slewing target designator after ground stabilizing
Abburo replied to number3's topic in Su-25 for DCS World
I also found slewing is definitely changed and more hard to put it on spot. It might be either broke code or changed its behavior deliberately. I have analogue axis set for slewing and after stabilization if I am trying to correct position at first it start move in opposite direction and then I somehow have to predict it's movement. It will be good to know if is just a correctable bug or a change for this behavior. -
Poll for Civil Modules you would buy for DCS World
Abburo replied to Anatoli-Kagari9's topic in DCS Wishlist
Yes sure, DCS have to stay military... that's why the most used servers arround are VA and another one for heli trainings. DCS should extend to civilian too ! (after EDGE, F18, dedicated server, and few other goodies ) -
I did not read very carefully first time, then I realize the above statement.... and this is just AWESOME. Thank you for the hint! ;)
-
Oh... excelent hint about controller. I have to try more because I was unable to add this function to Arma3
-
How quick the time is passing.... one of my references game too.
-
Well... still trying to figure out how to connect the controller to my laptop and be seen by the game. What I can see right now on game controllers within game setting are the ones that are connected to the main rig. I am currently using stream steam to play Arma3 and DayZ. They are working like charm. My laptop remain cool as ice, no processing at all on its side, all the work being done at main rig level. Today I tried playing on a netbook (obsolete hardware, 1GHz AMD C30 and 2GB RAM). On 10" display a slow paced game like DayZ is perfect. I can play it anywhere in house ... excellent FPS ... amazed, really amazed about this option!
-
I recently decide to try steam streaming between 2 computers at home. I was simply amased playing a game on my wireless conected laptop. I have curiosity: does anybody try stream DCS over steam?

You need a stick and throttle, they said...
Abburo replied to siraccord's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Never recovering from stall... you already start to understand why a stick is needed :P ... more to come ... :)). Next DCS plane you have to try... SU-27 :))))) -
I have no special interest nor any special attraction to this. However if it will be at Mig21 standard I would think twice!
-
Nevyn, I really don't want to compare... but you know how much did cost a ship in StarCitizen ... embaracing high amount of money. Roberts managed recently to reach 70.000.000 $ from so called "bakers". And that "game" does not respect anything, no fluid flight model, no trademarks, .... no extra money to pay to externals for author right or so. In that case they are selling typical american propaganda which is named "marketing". In DCS case, there is no marketing. You have to be passionate to be here. And if your passion is selective about plane types then is your own decision.

It seems a fair price for me. You moved things faster than many others, results being tangible. Not a SFM fan, but because the price includes the future updates I am right now one of your customers even if I will fly it when AFM will be available ;) There will be never something so that all people be happy about, but you guys showed us you are on the right way. Sincere congrats !

I also want to mention that this system allows to transfer and take back the ownership at any moment for any user. As far as I am concern I know no other game/app doing this and to be honest I am really using this feature.

Million of thanks... !
