  1. If you can overclock a cpu to 4.4Ghz, take the 6600K. Currently looking at a MSI Z170A KRAIT/Asus Z170-A. Both are good.
  2. Auto-overclock features are good, but always give more Vcore (and more heat) to the cpu, compared to a manual setting.
  3. I think DCS don't use the PhysX technology. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/physx/games https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_with_hardware-accelerated_PhysX_support
  4. The i7 3770K at 4.4Ghz is running hot, 67° with DCS (60w). And a Noctua NH-D14. Room temps 25-26°. DCS 45min. 82° with prime95 at 92w.
  5. Samsung 950 Pro (5 years or 200 TBW, Reliability 2 million hours) Samsung 850 Pro (10 years or 150 TBW, Reliability 1.5 million hours) Both are excellent, get the cheapest.
  6. As long as Nvidia sits on the top of the mountain (and AMD financial problem) , i don't think they will shoot themselves in the foot at releasing a such of increase of performance at lower price. :ermm:
  7. Cooler Master HAF X with ATX mobo and Noctua NH-D14.
  8. At 3840x2160 #8 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=144333
  9. As Hadwell said. 512GB (OS, steam, games) and a hdd (saved games, video and blabla).
  10. Those are socket 2011.
  11. Interesting and funny infos Bit, thank you.
  12. Yep, false alarm.http://noctua.at/en/mainboard/EVGA_Z170_Stinger
  13. The Noctua products are totally silent. You don't need the L.N.A. adaptor. The EVGA Supernova is a tier 3: Power supplies fully able to meet ATX specs, although closer to the edges of the limits than higher tier units. Still solid units. The Gtx980 gpu run at 1393Mhz, one of the fastest. And need 263w instead of 165w. Then a 650w psu is the good choice: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-3988-KR The Noctua is 150mm width. Can cause a compatibility problem with the Pcie slot. The Raijintek Themis is 122mm width.http://www.pcgameware.co.uk/reviews/cases/phanteks-enthoo-evolv-mitx-case-review/
  14. 2GB of Vram is not enough at 3240x1920 and 3840x2160: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=144333
  15. What is this 800w power supply? Cooler Master or Corsair? One Gtx980? http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm
  16. I don't have SSD for the same reason (extra 10 seconds for booting and stuff) that TMatzelle mentioned.
  17. Sorry, i don't think SLI is a "safety". Keep my money in my pocket is.
  18. Rectification, the TDP (utilization) is for the cpu. Because the cpu don't run at 100% load all the time. You can find this equation in every good calculator. With a 650w psu, you are at 68% (442w) of the max load. As long as you are in the range of the high efficiency (40% to 80% of the max load). My system needs 615w, my Seasonic X-850w is totally noiseless. I'm at 72% of the max load. 89% efficiency. Corsair AX850 is based on the Seasonic X-Series platform and for all intensive purposes. Agree. This is why you should know what you want, one or two video card. 550-650w bronze certification for one video card. 750-850w gold cert for two video cards.
  19. Cpu= 82w (90% TDP) Mobo= 45w Ram (3w per stick)= 6w HD= 8w DVD (idle)= 5w Fans (2-3w each)= 13w Sound card= 13w USB devices= 20w Gtx980Ti= 250w =442w. Why do you need a 1200w?
  20. 1) i5 6600K. You need a cooler. 2) Z170 4) DDR4 16GB (2X8GB) 1.2v, 3000Mhz or less. 5) Corsair 6) Power: http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm The good: http://www.thetechgame.com/Archives/t=5613293/power-supply-guide-the-good-and-the-bad.html Made by Seasonic: http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/psu_manufacturers
  21. The i7 3770K generate 92w (Prime95) at 4.4Ghz. 15w more than at stock speed. DCS need only 60w. I use the offset mode.
