  1. Thanks for the update!
  2. Fuel might bit expensive though.. :D Although pinball machine parts should be easy to come by.. ;)
  3. Radeon 7850 2GB Edit: upgraded to Radeon 7970 3GB
  4. Actually, a lot of the processing seems to module-based since each aircraft can react in slightly different ways in different weather etc. So upgrading modules from script-based SFM to AFM/PFM is just part of it. Map engine (support for large maps in "chunks" or "segments") and graphics engine (efficient image generation) are another part of the whole. That's what I gather from various information here. But EDGE really looks very promising indeed!

    Release??

Thanks for you patience and endurance! Rest assured, there are plenty of people cheering for you here! Edit: don't let the negativity bring you down!
  6. One plane that did not quite make it into battle in WW2: De Havilland Vampire. Early jets used by RAF and would be another interesting plane. :)
  7. My personal favourite as a kid was the Hawker Hurricane (not sure why).. If only we could have all these..:cheer3nc::thumbsup:
  8. But that does not matter, you still need to complete testing and if testing is incomplete or problems are found they should be fixed before release. Which means despite intentions it can delay the release, regardless of the intended release date. Edit: and by "midsummer" in earlier post I was of course referring to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midsummer
  9. To be more precise: it was estimated all the acceptance testing would be finished around june 20 and considering it's midsummer festivities in lots of places going on don't expect news until following week. So 1-2 days delay and people are painting devils on the walls already? Sheesh.. (I'll add the link to original message if/when I find it again..)
  10. Good news! Progressing nicely there :)
  11. Same :)

    Release??

They have said that 1.3.0 will be EDGE release (can't remember if there was official announcement of it..). Question is will there be 1.2.9, 1.2.10, 1.2.11 etc. before then ;) I remember each new release updated 1.2.x with new build/release (such as 1.2.x.y to 1.2.x.y+n) when there was new module added. This has the advantage of showing new aircraft as AI controlled and other players in multiplayer sessions.
  13. With the miracle of modern technology these questions may now be answered! Behold! .. not that impressive.. :D
  14. Very nice!
  15. He may be many things but not a good businessman considering this.. Anyway, my pledge was $185 which includes two licenses of P-51D (both which I received and donated already since I have it from earlier time) and two licenses of FW-190D. Also if "all" aircraft in that level includes also FW-190D that would be three licenses for it.. The wording and many hastily added levels of backing have made it a mess to know what is included and what is not.. Especially if there are $50 levels that include all aircraft (usually $40 a piece) it is hard to decipher what the "levels" are anymore. Anyway, as I've mentioned elsewhere the physical extras aren't that important to me, the planes with PDF manual will do fine thankyouverymuch :D
  16. Nice! Thanks for this :)
  17. My spanish really isn't upto this level.. Oh well, better start studying then :D
  18. I think this is the most recent and possibly we won't see another until release.. (It's only one month.. It's only one month.. ) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=125313
  19. Thanks for sharing
  20. Well, it IS a start.. :music_whistling:
  21. Well, intro videos are seen when interest is there and you are trying it out having downloaded and installed the game. Maybe better to have something to raise attention enough to download in the first place already? Edit: Maybe a full startup procedure video would be enough to hook some sim veterans..? ;)
  22. I completely agree with you here. Free2play often causes crippling of the gameplay so that people are forced to buy some addons and fund them that way, for example, some maps or equipment. This also causes the value of the product to drop since it is not that interesting to customers with a "broken" gameplay of sorts. On simulators this would be a death-blow since simulators by definition require high quality of systems, flight models, 3D meshes and textures etc. to actually be a believable and accurate simulation. The less crippling path of Free2play games is additional skins for characters and other virtual items for customization which don't affect gameplay. This is a matter of taste if it is good or bad approach. Maybe custom skins for planes would be interesting to some. Also F2P game developers may depend on other funds such as advertisements or selling customer profiles to advertises to generate revenue from their product. This would be also very bad approach in simulators.. Edit: By the way, I think ED could try something like subscription-based model for constant income and funding for projects. I don't know what the content would be or the cost of such subscription but I believe there would be many of us willing to pay some monthly amount to ensure high quality simulations continue to be developed. That's just my personal opinion though, don't hang me for it :)
  23. I do! I do! This: Please? :D
