  1. I would assume airfield(s) in Nevada has cable/net system in place? So ATC functionality needs expansion as well to support it? Would be cool to have :)
  2. How about Bristol Blenheim or Avro Lancaster? :)
  3. It's their module and webshop. They can make new sales whenever they choose to. Your question is therefore pointless.
  4. I'm not sure who to quote here anymore so this is just in general. People, if you have this much paranoia, delusions or just detachment from how real world operates then go see a doctor. It does not make any sense to have a product but not sell it to customers on purpose. Relax, it's just technical issue which they'll sort out sooner or later.
  5. You need to understand that the simulation level is entirely different here. ED is pretty strict that each module must achieve certain quality level which is brilliant! Each module is quaranteed to fill demanding requirements. FSX simulation is not that advanced (at most SFM level in DCS) and there is no-one to act as quality assurance on them. This means that there are huge numbers of really low-quality modules for FSX and only some good ones. The flight model in FSX is pretty crude so they are simple to develop. There aren't many systems simulated in those. And even the 3D models don't have that much detail or accuracy. In summary: it is far quicker and cheaper to make "game-level" addons for FSX than actual study-simulation level modules for DCS.
  6. Exactly. They are different teams within same companies. Those teams would be likely doing something else if the demand for WW2 wasn't so big. They do take a lot of research and development and as well to simulate the oddities and quirks in them. This is also time-consuming since reliable information those days is hard to find. Detailing engine characteristics and aerodynamic modeling was not that advanced 70 years ago so it was not even possible to create that information then. And if there was that information finding it and comparing to numerous modifications and upgrades is plenty of work as well.
  7. I'll say this again: congrats for getting this far guys! Awesome video too! I'm watching it again and again here :) Well done, well done!
  8. I don't know but when said this way it sounds like "Not Invented Here" (NIH) syndrome again..
  9. For me this sounds like there could be improvement on how ED and 3rd parties manage things. Ok, if there is worry about who owns which part of work it can be simple if it's all done by one party. However, if all work is dependent on single entity that puts a lot of strain in one "basket" and credibility as a platform isn't as high as if there were multiple parties working together. I don't know the reasons behind the decisions but I hope it does not fall down on single entity grabbing work from others.
  10. Nice work! Thanks for sharing!
  11. Come on, be serious, something closer to home and we don't even have mapped Pluto yet.. Mars on the other hand.. ;)
  12. Possibly, they do think about lots of things.. ;) Key question might be WHEN if someone else does not make them first.. :smartass:
  13. Edit: removed most of the old message.. The A-4 sight system is pretty similar for all cases: guns, unguided bombs, rockets and GAR-8 air-to-air missiles. In some cases it does not help much but that's how it was then..
  14. Seems like many people have their "pet-project" that they love to complain about (or the lack of it) ;) For every news or release there's a bunch of people complaining that is wasn't their corner being satisfied. People, take a look at something else outside your favorite playground occasionally, you might find other things to like as well.
  15. Very nice!
  16. +1 for Finland, Sweden, China, Japan, N. & S. Korea
  17. Good point! Haven't registered there yet for some reason..
  18. The air race additions are excellent! Many thanks for them!:pilotfly: It's actually rather addicting to try for a "perfect" score and time :joystick: :)
  19. Nice! This is exactly the kind of work where people can work together for same goals: more high-quality simulations :) Hopefully this leads to helping with development all around so we get them sooner to play with ;)
  20. Very nice! Thanks for sharing!
  21. By the way, how many people might have monitor setup correctly even? I mean contrast, brightness and color temperature, and then there's OS settings which might be wrong for a "generic" monitor etc. Even if OS would setup drivers and calibration correctly then there's bunch of environment things and people have different eyes.. Lucky it's someone else worrying about these and not me.. :D
  22. About a month (or two.. ;) to go..
  23. Excellent stuff! :) Already getting excited about this :)
  24. Thanks for the update!
  25. This does sound good :)
