If you have hardware that meets the minimum requirements and have settings in low you should have much more than 2 fps.

In case you upgraded hardware and did NOT deactivate modules before that this can happen. You need to clear old activation information from registry and activate again. See details here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/faq/activation_wiki/

I think the more realistic steering is a very cool feature! Thanks for that LS :thumbup: It is *interesting* to learn but also gives that important feeling of an actual Mig-21. And these things are where DCS in a whole is shining example to others: how to make aircraft that actually work and give you that feeling of actual aircraft. I don't object to giving a steering assist in the options as long as it does not affect this handling.

With the new IL2:BOS I think there is room for both. That said, I would appreciate seeing some bombers in DCS as well ;) Better objective would be to, how do you say, "re-educate" FSX people into trying DCS ;)

This should be interesting. For one as counterpart for the F-86 Sabre. And for another reason as there is history of it in Finland as well: there were a few Mig-15UTI models in Finland for training pilots in transfer from Fouga Magister and deHavilland Vampire to Mig-21 before Mig-21UTI version. At the time there were also Saab Draken and Folland Gnat used in those times which could be interesting to see some day in DCS too ;) (Just another wish on a long list of planes :D)

Actually, Steam usually has this -10% immediately AFTER release to promote it. There are pre-purchase discounts in Steam also but in this case it was not available for pre-purchase from Steam. So it pretty much evens out.

Not an expert in the scripts found in DCS, but I would assume the list "livery" can be initialized conditionally by which country is selected. Then select both cockpit textures and external skin according to that country selection? So user doesn't select actual "skin" anymore but only country and rest is selected by that?

Here's new version of the tooltips localized in finnish. As before, drop this in \DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\MiG-21BIS\Cockpit\ and replace the original. Some missing translations added, some changed to be more in line with cockpit labels by Chain. Also there's a couple of places where original seems to have bug in text. That is true. Let me know if you figure out how to add cockpit language selections into DCS options :) Currently that allows only selection of english/russian and makes it necessary to have crude hack for tooltips also.

Ok, I've made first version of tooltips in finnish. There are some places where translation could be better so maybe another version will be needed.. I'm uploading it in both "plaintext" and zipped, let me know which works better. Some browsers might corrupt encoding in text files so I expect zip to work better. To install, just backup and replace file Hint_localizer.lua in folder ..\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\MiG-21BIS\Cockpit\ File has both russian and finnish tooltips. If you need to switch language just lookup near start of file for this: if LockOn_Options.cockpit_language == "russian" then country = "FI" end And change country into "RU" to switch back into original tooltips, like this: country = "RU" As always, bugs and comments are welcome. I have in progress version of the hint localizer with tooltip texts in finnish. It will be some time to finish it but if there's interest I can upload it as well.

It might be helpful if there was a way to add finnish as cockpit language selection to DCS options menu. That way user could have different variants without overwriting other options. In case someone knows a way to add selections that would be cool since other languages in other aircrafts could benefit from that also. Edit: in the file options.lua in USER\Saved Games\DCS\Config has line: ["cockpitLanguage"] = "russian", changing that likely would work and cockpit textures should have .lua file where it tells language-related files?

Looks like I'll have to leave work soon so I can get to testing this ;)
