  1. Great! How do you find time for all these projects? ;)
  2. All this talk about making "dots more visible" contradicts the aim of bringing realistic simulations to consumers. There are limits to what you can achieve on home computers and tiny screens. I mean, 3D rendering calculates how object appears on perspective and distance. If the object is far enough it will be smaller than a single pixel on your computer screen. There's no way to project that visibly into your screen, no matter what coloring or reflectivity is used. Keeping rendering method same only things you can do are increasing resolution (more and smaller pixels) and increasing monitor size. Both require you to spend money on better monitor or a video projector. And aiming for 4K resolutions need more GPU power as well.. Actual training simulator use back-projection screens instead of computer monitors to achieve large display sizes to handle the limitations.
  3. Finally! Congrats to all at LN, it has been a long, hard road for you to make this far! :notworthy::notworthy: Now to start staring at the store page and wait for purchases to open :D
  4. Good work!
  5. Both thumbs up and thanks for the great skins!
  6. Other thing (in addition to being obsolete) is that newer hardware is also more energy efficient meaning you use less electricity etc. Just a thing to consider..
  7. Uhh.. Well, with THAT version of software you have now installed, sure. Don't expect to run edge on it though, that train is long gone.. Edit: I mean, whole POINT of edge is that it takes advantage of newer hardware for better simulation quality. If current hardware has DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.5, it is expected that in a year DirectX 12 and OpenGL 5 are released. So there's some years before edge needs to updated to more efficient version. It's a losing battle trying to support gradually aging hardware and API.
  8. Where should I begin.. * Seven to ten years is a long time, especially with most advanced flight sims like DCS. * That computer sounds like it should have been buried a long time ago already. * You can get decent computer already for that money that will last for some time easily. * DX11 graphics cards have been out for something like five years old. * Windows 7 has been released something like five years ago - long time ago already. * Windows lifecycle is less than ten years usually so Vista is pretty soon out of support anyway. * 64-bit CPUs have been around for about a decade already.. Sure, it's hard to give up on something that has worked well for years, but asking for 32-bit support today is like asking for 486 with 3dgfx Voodoo support - not going to happen. It is time to move on so that simulation quality and scope can improve with better resources. Instead of pre-built you can get more efficient computer for less money by building it yourself. If you still have "classics" that you don't want to lose, just keep the old computer. You won't get much money out of it anymore..
  9. No real experience but it might be worth waiting for Win 9 and using money saved into some nice DCS modules in the mean time.. ;)
  10. Who says you can have only *one* cockpit.. :music_whistling: Make ALL the cockpits! :D ( Still hoping for just one simpit even, anything really, please? )
  11. By that logic, you would not want any WW2 plane simulations either, or helicopter simulations, or tank simulations or.. I think the point is obvious ;)
  12. Back when Finland used to operate Mig-21 the cockpit had a mix of finnish, english and russian in different instruments. :) May have been some in swedish from Draken as well ;) I should have some own pictures of this somewhere, need to check if there's anything that's not entirely blurred in those.. :P
  13. Still, it is a big milestone to reach, in my mind anyway :)
  14. Ohohoh..! Does this mean what I think it means!?? :bounce: You aren't joking right? right? :)
  15. But eventually the storm WILL come and the forecast is right then, right? :music_whistling:
  16. Radeon HD 7850. Did not have this problem during weekend while enjoying the Sabre ;) Today I do see this same problem.. Odd. Edit: Catalyst 14.4 drivers Edit2: also same with Catalyst 14.7 beta drivers
  17. Also bought the Steam version, works fine.
  18. I just can't say no to good modules.. Bring it!
  19. Well said! ;) Also, it does count as a landing if the pilot lives, right? ..right?? :music_whistling:
  20. Thanks for information Yo-Yo!
  21. Backer-system really worked flawlessly for me, thanks a bunch for all involved!
  22. There is page for F-86F already on Steam, "coming soon" on 9.8. (9th of august, 8/9/2014).
  23. Thanks for clearing that up :) Looks like Google translate butchered some of that translation.. ;)
  24. Wikipedia is open to everyone so who knows if it is correct or not if there are no sources linked. It does seem plausible currently anyway. I am interested in this module as well and have wondered about the release date since there has been no official word about release schedule for a while. Maybe it has been pushed to wait for MiG-15bis release first??? :D
  25. So if I get this right, you should only try for landing on all three wheels and not on two wheels?
