  3. Thanks guys, seems copy paste is the way I'll go. Wish 3 ways for at least the basic stuff would get put into their base code. It literally would take 2 minutes for them to take what's been posted in the forum.
  4. Hey guys how do you keep from having your default.lua reset every time they push an update? I've added warthog 3 way bindings and after every update they get wiped away. I've tried editing the default.lua in my Saved games/AV8BNA folder which doesn't seem to work.

  8. Please tell me that the functionality of the tpod is not working as intended, where as you select GBU12 and it kicks you out of the Tpod page to the TV page. Then the only way to get back to Tpod is by unselecting 12, menu, Tpod, stby. I can't imagine this is working as intended.
  9. Just bumping this up to see if anyone has a fix. I can also get the green box to move, but not the whole cargo indicator. Would really like to be able to put this on my separate MFD monitor.
  10. I understand that the VRST page will eventually be able to compute VTOL limits and nozzle rotation speeds and that it is missing in early release. Is there any way to figure out some of this stuff other than trial and error? I seem to have good luck with rolling VTOL at around 23k lbs on a standard DCS day, but it would be nice to have some tables or charts to make it less of a WAG.

  12. From what I can tell, the Hover Stop position in the throttle is just a metal plate which causes a detent which needs to be overcome in order to force the throttle past hover position. Is there any way to make the warthog sense the rear detent as that point, and continue to read the position to the rear of that? I played with it for a minute but it seems that reaching that detent is the edge of the throttle limits. When I get home I'll also explore a curve to simulate a dead zone for the Hover Stop. Anyone have suggestions on the matter? Seems like a small but valuable tool to not have to "find" the Hover setting. I suppose all else fails I could reverse the axis and use the forward detent as the stop but that just seems wrong.
  13. Can we please have an option for mission designers to disable the ability of players on MP servers from seeing WHERE other players are spawning? My thought is this: Enter a MP server, choose coalition Red/Blue, then see available spawn points for that coalition. If you want to change sides you have to reconnect to the server or somehow otherwise be forced out of your aircraft, etc. Getting intel on where people are might be fine for some softcore servers but should be able to be hidden.
  14. Agree with this, and there should probably be a way to limit how far out you can zoom while in F2 mode. *wink

Hello, I have discovered that rope length (default) of approximately 15 meters while sling loading heavy objects causes the tail to rip off if you ascend at anything other than exactly the delicate rate (less than 1m/s). When you set it to a longer length like 20m it has reasonable load bearing capacity. This video shows a successful pickup and then a failed one at about 1:50. The failed attempt vertical velocity was still being measured by the doppler at less than 1m/s. Is this a feature or a bug? Why would longer rope length actually make THAT much difference if it is working as intended?

On page 384 of the manual, there is a rather large table of voice prompts that are given during sling load operations including cargo height off the ground, etc. My crew chief never says anything other than "at altitude" "forward xx" "load swinging". Is this a feature that is supposed to be working?

  20. Yeah... +1 on the above sentiments. The new respawn timers are ridiculous! FARP is closed after a fairly quick attack, helo is 10 minutes out, and the thing respawns within 5 minutes of being closed. I don't understand FARPs from the standpoint of being a helo. Am I not supposed to adjust fuel or take on weapons? Where the hell is the actual FARP? I spawn in a field with nothing around. I don't like the new direction this server is going and by the looks of user loads, neither do others.

  23. I hadn't tried either of those yet, won't the Vikhrs just outrange any of the manpads or AAA?
