Yea.. this and whole bunch of other stuff still not implemented.
Really can’t see me investing in another Razman module, no matter what they have in developement. :(
Hi
I'm not sure if this related to the F10 map bug I posted here -> https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=211921
No acknowledgement/confirmation from ED so far, but this is still an issue with the latest OB update.
Everything works great, if I set map icons to Fog of War or higher, but not all of us want to use "oh, I'm here" easy modes/cheats.
Placebo?
One can argue until the cows come home, but the default HUD tint is too dark.
Next on my personal wish list is a modded canopy glass for the Hornet. The default texture with reflections/wear is not very well done. Even F-5E's default canopy is in better shape. (I'm looking at you, watermanpc) ;)
Couldn't agree more, great job sopebird!
For those looking for JSGME-option, copy files to this folder structure: Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Textures\FA-18C-CPT-TEXTURES
I have some more information to share about this bug. In addition to my previous post, this bug happens if an airfield is set as a waypoint, so not just the takeoff/landing airbase.
Last night I flew the FA-18C quick mission (Caucasus, takeoff and navigation) where the flight plan waypoints are set over various airfields. Neither of those airfields had map icon/info in F10 map. If I remember correctly, the icons where also missing from Hornet's moving map.
Don't dampen your joystick's center play with an unnecessary deadzone. After you have pressed the baro alt mode, trim your nose down a quick tap or two and the AP will active.
Anyway, it is clearly a bug and most likely will be addressed eventually.
If the map icons are set to OFF or MY AIRCRAFT ONLY in options menu, the F10 map will not show airfield icon/info for "home base". Once I set the option to FOG OF WAR or higher the airfield icon/info is visible. All other airfield icons are shown correctly.
This bug has been around a couple of update cycles and affects at least Caucasus and NTTR maps.
I had the same problem. Rather than uninstalling ITBMT, I also use Process Lasso to fix it. I get best results setting DCS.exe as single-thread process/highest performance mode, so it uses only physical cores (0,2,4,6,8 and 10).
I really think you have to see it in game. If you are familiar with NTTR (I dont have Persian Gulf) you will notice the difference. The terrain is more detailed/sharper with the mod.
In your previous post, you hinted that you are using 165 hz monitor overdrive. That may be causing problems with TrackIR. Try setting it to 144hz or disable it for testing purposes.
I am using 144hz on my Asus PG279Q.
