  1. Thanks! I just bought r9 290x 8gb, i think it will run nicely then with that setup. Will upgrade CPU later.
  2. Look at the pic of saburo_cz already posted, mid-prod from almost same angle as the first screenshot, just other side. No drivewheel visible there too...
  3. There is early/mid/late production tigers. Only late prod uses steel wheels. Both early and mid ones uses rubber coated wheels with hubs inside them. DCS one is mid production. Therefore hub should not be visible on those screenshots.
  4. You are comparing late production one with mid-production (DCS). DCS got it right.
  5. Bit stupid question, should have ask/read more before, but i already ordered oculus...so, i know my gfx and processor won't meet minimum specs and i have plan to upgrade them as soon as possible. Do i have any hopes of running dcs+OR with playable framerates? Current specs in signature...
  6. Just tried it, gotta say i really liked interior sounds! Very close to the videos of real thing. Exterior is not bad too but sounds kinda like compilation of different sounds...anyway, thanks a lot for these and keep up the good work!
  7. Forget about it, just noticed you are alredy done it  Thanks a lot anyway,d/l now!
  8. Another neat one, many thanks! Btw, Theres another quite interesting JG 6 bird with somewhat unusual camo, i let these scans here just in case if you happened to have interest to do some point in future. :music_whistling:
  9. Loving the black 10, great work as always!
  10. I would like to know the source for your claim about head hitting the lid  Good old myths will never die... Sure it was not the most comfortable cockpit ever but many pilots actually liked it once they got used to it. "During the war I had the oppertunity to fly captured P-47's and P-51's. I didn't like the Thunderbolt. It was too big. The cockpit was immense and unfamiliar. After so may hours in the snug confines of the 109, everything felt out of reach and too far away from the pilot. Although the P-51 was a fine airplane to fly, because of its reactions and capabilities, it too was disconcerting. With all those levers, controls and switches in the cockpit. I'm surprised your pilots could find the time to fight. We had nothing like this in the 109. Everything was simple and very close to the pilot. You fitted into the cockpit like a hand in a glove. Our instrumentation was complete, but simple: throttle, mixture control and prop pitch. How your pilots were able to work on all their gadgets and still function amazes me." Walter Wolfrum "- How did the cockpit feel in the 109? The cockpit was small, but one got used to it after a while. In the end it felt comfortable since you felt like part of the plane. The Spitfire's cockpit did not feel that much roomier to him either. The 262 cockpit however was larger in comparison. It also had a long flight stick, giving the pilot lots of leverage in flight." - Franz Stigler "The Me had a very clear cockpit. It was big enough for a normal man. You had a firm feeling about sitting in a robust plane.@ -Jorma Karhunen, Finnish fighter ace
  11. Big YES for tanks from me
  12. :megalol: But as i said, i would be glad to have any of those tanks in game and, of course it would be silly to model tank for one side only so... Maybe it would be better to have own polls for both sides.
  13. No, the one that would not burn after single shot
  14. Hmm...wich one i would choose? Well Tiger II happens to be my all time favourite tank so it wasn't really question for me, but to be honest i would be happy to see any of those tanks in poll properly modelled.
  15. +1, brakes are too poweful now. I'm sure they will be corrected in later updates.
  16. By the way, another myth debunked around 09:20...:smilewink:
  17. Well yeah, ex-buchon (Rote 7) but close enough :) Just listen that DB sounds... From Biggin Hill 2015.
  18. I will post them up if find some. Problem is i've read so many books that i can't remember exactly who said what etc. :)
  19. Yes indeed, very nose heavy. I have actually read this kind of behaviuor from quite many (messerschmitt) pilot memoirs. He is talking about G2 and G6 models, and no, i don't think it's about my crappy translation. Unfortunately no speed figures or other information available.
  20. Yo-Yo, i'm certainly not try to bash the modelling of DCS, and unfortunately i don't have "solid" proof about it but could you please explain IF trim modelling is currently correct, then why aren't we able to replicate this in DCS (quote from my other post: " Indeed. I've just read another real life bf 109 pilot (Väinö Pokela) sentences wich makes me doubt there is still something weird in DCS 109 trimming. He was very experienced 109 pilot as he flew them from 1943 to 1947. At some point, he became instructor to the new 109 pilots and he wrotes: "...to the students i adviced way (to jump out of the plane if needed): hold on the stick strongly and at same time wind up trimmer wheel to fully forward (nose down). Then let go off from the stick. Then pilot will fly off from the cockpit like a cork from bottle." Source: Bf 109 ja saksan sotatalous book by prof. Hannu Valtonen. (translated by me, may contain some minor mistakes)"
  21. Except some pilot notes/comments but i understand that those can't take as a proof.
  22. Many thanks!
  23. :worthy: Thank you!!
  24. Top quality again, thanks a lot!
  25. Early K4 skin, cool! Looking forward to it
