  1. This is another "must have" issue with interesting report about flying "red 7" by Klaus Plasa etc: http://www.aviationclassics.co.uk/news/all/all-issues/18-bf-109
  2. Not sure if it's mentioned already or not, but IIRC there's same problem with Mustang. And yes, happened to me too many times, very annoying.
  3. No problem, i'm enjoying Diveplane's very good sounds. Was just curious as i was not aware of another DB sound mod available yet but that explains it well :)
  4. Off-topic, but what soundmod you are using?
  5. Sorry to continue off-topic a bit, but i have to disagree here. I'm pretty sure every 109 fan out there (and there is lot of us!) would buy G2 in a heartbeat, plus those who like early-mid war fighters more.
  6. Ok, sounds great!
  7. Yep, just tested it and colors were better than screenshots but for some reason sidewalls and floor was still in original colors? Did i something wrong (used JSGME) or is it still w.i.p? Personally i would still lighten grey just a little bit to make black parts looks black, or darken the black bits. Whatever is easier.
  8. From "black six" cockpit, without flash: with flash:
  9. Yeah, nice work, but in my opinion it's bit too dark now. It makes black parts in panels looking almost lighter coloured now. I know it's really hard color to get exactly correct as flashlight in pictures makes it looking lighter than it really is and without flash vice versa. I really liked colour that was in w.i.p. shots of cockpit before they lighten it.
  10. Not really: This. With proper toe brakes and more training, i do not find any strong tendency to dip wing unless there is strong crosswind.
  11. ^ Me, me! :D Nice choice that skin!

Looks great, downloading now. Thank you!
  13. Of course, but where exactly you see this "praising" and "overly protective" comments? From what i can see generally all posters are agreeing that some work is left and needed to finish FM.
  14. :) MC you too! Btw. i really like the colors and weathering on this one.
  15. _Very_ nice job there Art, undersides looks great too! Many thanks!
  16. Good to have both versions, looks very nice! Thanks!
  17. Sorry but i think you are exaggerating things quite bit now. I've not really seen any of those "OMG SO AWESOME" stuff you mentioned. Sure people have praised the good bits of FM, as it is already great, but i think at least most of us know it's not ready and there is things left that need corrections. And these are already reported many times. Go and look "bugs & problems" section, there is full four pages of topics about those (some by me). Like i said, it's already confirmed that cotrol authority/stiffening at high speeds will be looked, no reason to keep mentioning that on every topic then in my opinion. Mustang and FW are good examples, as FM's of those planes are great i really can't see why 109's FM would not be as good once finished.
  18. Yes, while flying in DCS generally is great i think landings are where FM really shines. I don't have pilot licence myself but i have sit enough hours in seat next of pilot (and sometimes yoke/stick my hands:)) to know it feels very close to real thing. :)
  19. He may or may not, but what makes you think they would not do it to 109? It's already modelled to both P-51 and FW 190. I have no doubts about final FM, it will be as close to real thing as possible.
  20. Another 109 nut  :D Sorry about short answer, i actually tried to find YO-YO's post about that but can't remember where it was. Anyway, i understand that controls stiffening will be looked into.
  21. Indeed. Not sure if radiator leaking is implemented yet but at least cut-off handle works already. It is possible to fly using only one radiator, just don't use full throttle and remember open the rads. Temp will stay on limits then.
  22. Oh i see, my bad then. I had not seen that full version before.
  23. But he used to fly quite lot's with "Black 2" too, right? How do you know for sure wich one he is talking about? Anyway, may both of them rest in peace, great pilots...
  24. Are you sure about that? I know he mentions "D-FEHD", wich was register of buchon before it was restored to G10 and changed to "D-FDME" but he also mentions "galland canopy" (better known as erla nowadays), automatic mixture etc. Also article is fro 1999 and DB conversion was made 1996 IIRC. I've always been under impression he talks about DB engined one. Edit, i think this part confirms my toughts: "To summarize, I like the airplane very much , and I can understand why many Luftwaffe aces had such a high regard and preference for it. Hans Dittes has completed a fantastic restoration and should be complimented on returning "Black 2" to the air."
